Do you have suggestions for taping your hand if you have hEDS? I got the idea to try for the first time last night. I cut strips the width of my fingers and starting from the tips, stretched the tape to the palm. I then did a wrap around, similar to what you showed in the video. I woke up feeling far less pain in my hands than I have in decades. So much so, that I’m tempted to do it every night and get a set of ring splints to where during the day. I’ve had pain in my hands my entire adult life. I just turned 43. I have exercises that help, but the pain is always there. I also had an incredibly painful flair up of de Quervain tendosynovitis due to a weekend of knitting, of all things. If I could prevent that from ever happening again, it would be amazing.
God bless you girl! I have this problem with second finger in right and now its starting with the same finger but in left hand😢 My doctors are giving me nurofen and cream 😂 and saying we must wait.. Echo sonogfaph doesn't show inflammation or arthrose.. So on the end they say that i must learn to live with this. Today i find you! Its exactly this what i need, damnn exactly! I've tried do this what you say, and hallelujah its working❤ First 15 min i feel a little pain, but its get better and better and better every minute. After half an hour i dont feel any pain when im moving the finger. This tension is magically gone! I love you girl, greetings from Belgium
Just being honest. I had a fall before Christmas 2023 due to an ear infection in both ears (I didn’t know I had an infection at all at the time) I had a bad fall as it affected my balance and I hurt my little finger and it’s now March and my little finger still hurts. Iv used tape before and immobilising my finger eased the pain in the middle joint (can’t remember your term for it) the problem with this means my finger was getting stiff and I found finger tape which is much thinner so I only need to cut the amount I need, I don’t need to cut in half and in half again….anyway I tried this method you showed and I can’t believe the difference. I can still move my finger and the pain has gone and the joint isn’t stiff. It’s so simple I can’t honestly believe it worked but sometimes simple is all you need. Thanks for sharing. I get a lot of finger pains due to fibromyalgia and painkillers don’t work and again I find I’m using splints which do help but as I’m getting older I don’t want to bring on pain from stiffness plus splints make every day tasks a challenge so doing this allowing full movement as well will be a complete game changer. Thank you.
I’ve never try tape on my painful arthritic fingers. I’ll definitely try it, though, cuz the sling is too stiff and I must take it off to do every day tasks like driving, cooking, take a showers. Thanks fir your advice.
I have fibromyalgia and am suffering mostly from migrating pain. I use taping a lot along with several braces. Do you have tips on that or maybe have a link to a taping playlist?
I don't have a taping playlist but that is a good idea. There are so many taping techniques! I usually recommed to move your skin and tissue around first to see what feels good then use the tape to hold it there.
Hey! I have what I assume is a ganglion cyst (my doctor agrees but suggested we do an ultrasound) on the tendon of my middle finger kinda in my palm. It’s irritating and a little sore so I was wondering if there was a way to tape the finger to prevent it from bugging me at work?
QUESTION? What happen when there is no pain in the finger, but when you close your fingers one of them one occasion make a cracking noise! This problem occurred to me two weeks ago! :(
I do have a few videos on how to help swelling. You can check them out here- ua-cam.com/video/oCxFAAxBGP8/v-deo.html, ua-cam.com/video/-l9_0N2IfjU/v-deo.html

you might want to see if you have hypermobility disorder
Felt immediate relief! Its too bad this wont stay on while climbing. Any suggestions?
Try a cotton blend sports tape or leukotape. And try tape that is already thin so you don't have to cut it.
