Yes, Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton (that guy...) on guitar, Ginger Baker on drums. Steve started with Spencer Davis Group, more notably a member of Traffic around this time.
Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton on guitar. Blind Faith was a 'super group. He was 'Steve Winwood' (or actually, Little Stevie Winwood) since he was a young teen, he was very famous before this. That's why it's a 'super' group because all the members were superstars already. 😁 Steve had been playing piano in English pubs since he was 8 yrs old with his dad and brother, then as a teen he would be hired by American Blues musicians to back them up when they toured the UK. Then he joined The Spencer Davis Group when he was 14 yrs. old. They had huge hits like Gimme Some Lovin and I'm a Man etc...He was child prodigy like Stevie Wonder.
Not a super group, just a reshuffling of members from contemporary bands. Super groups are created after each of the member secure their legends elsewhere.
Nice one, Angela! You should see Steve Winwood performing this on an acoustic guitar in front of his fireplace! Very much more personal. Thank you for this classic!!
They call them “super groups” but they were really just experimenting with sounds and jamming with friends. The days of discovery were magical indeed. 💕
I am pleasantly surprised you recognized Steve Winwood's voice! He has been part of many supergroups, this is one of many. Also Eric Clapton guitar, as others have already commented.
I am surprised she recognized his voice also. He sounded like a drunken farm animal being eaten by coyotes. Yet can’t find my way home from the studio is a classic
You should listen to some of the more recent times Clapton and Winwood do this song. They are perfect for each other and they clearly love playing together.
I'm sold. I've now heard you twice. I appreciated your unvarnished opinion, your honesty, on Chicago's 'Questions 67 & 68'. And, on this video you immediately recognized Steve Winwood's vocals. You've got some chops and I'm subscribed.
At least the third. He Joined Spencer Davis at 14 but had been playing professionally since he was about 8. Blind Faith existed only briefly during a hiatus of Traffic. During the '60s he was also part of a few attempted groups that each recorded from 1 to 6 songs before breaking up. I think this was his third attempt to form a band with Eric Clapton. Unfortunately super-groups with younger stars tend to be short-lived due to conflicting egos.
I feel like Winwood tends to get forgotten sometimes, but the guy is a multi-instrumentalist, and sings great. And I think he started getting famous as a teenager. Big fan! I would suggest you try Clapton/Winwood Madison Square Garden for a more modern take (I think they performed around 2000).
Blind Faith: Steve Winwood - vocals, keys, guitar Eric Clapton - Guitar Ginger Baker - Drums Rich Grech - Bass Blind Faith formed shortly after Cream (Clapton, Baker and Jack Bruce) broke up. Winwood had already been in The Spencer Davis Group (I'm A Man, Gimme Some Lovin'). Traffic existed both before and after Blind Faith. And Traffic did some timeless work. And then came the solo career.
A Super Group is when the greatest musicians from different bands join together to form a band. The musicians in Blind faith were some of the greatest of their time. They only recorded 1 album but it had a lot of great songs. I'm thrilled that you reacted to one of their songs, and your reaction was very enjoyable to watch.
The sound quality for an outdoor gig is fantastic. Eric Clapton was a bit restrained, but it made for a tight understated performance. Nice to see Ric Grech's playing being highlighted , from wonder band 'Family' and Ginger Baker's poly rhythms. It would have been nice to see Steve Winwood's organ playing up close, and he was straining a bit, at times, but he was, and is superb and very soulful. I wonder how they escaped the crowd they looked surrounded by a sea of people! Thank you very much for your reaction. I could tell you appreciate good music.
Steve Winwood was in the Spencer Davis group, and then Traffic before this I recommend I’m a Man by the SDG, and Empty Pages by Traffic. Both are excellent samples of SW’s greatness
Stevie Winwood made this song, so young but always got this unique voice !!! Stevie was when h was even younger first with the Spencer Davies Group, then he launched TRAFFIC and after that with Clapton Blind Faith, before he got a lot of solo fame for decades !!!! Ginger Baker, drums was before with Clapton in THE CREAM !
Iconic song, but they only had that one album! There are a lot of stories here with talented performers, but I'll mention one! My favorite Steve Winwood song is from his Arc Of A Diver LP titled While You See A Chance! Until Friday, have a good one!
Winwood was barely 21 in 69. Rumor has it that Blind Faith only did the one album because Clapton had been friends with the Beatles & then had his own "super popular" group (Cream)...and didn't want Blind Faith to become another super group with all the hoopla that entails. But Steve & Eric remained friends thru the years & got together for concerts in 2007. Here they are playing Can't Find My Way Home...not bad for a couple of 60-70yo guys. ua-cam.com/video/8L82II1lNjo/v-deo.html
So glad you picked this live version and enjoyed it. The whole Live in Hard Park concert is really worth listening too. Stevie was in 3 bands before he became "Steve Winwood" and all are worth checking out. Spencer Davis Group - Gimme Some Lovin, Traffic - Dear Mr Fantasy and Blind Faith - try Sea of Joy, or Presence of The Lord if you like Clapton. Winwood and Clapton got back together in recent years and released a double album "Live From Madison Square Gardens". Winwood put out some interesting videos during the Covid lockdown. Thank you for choosing this track :)
Hey Angela, how about a song called, "I'm getting closer to my home" not sure of the band....The song is in a current Chevrolet commercial....Thanks, GREAT reaction...
If you look on UA-cam, Clapton plays a full concert with Steve Windwood again at Madison Square Garden. Clapton when forming Blind Faith said that Steve Windwood sounded like a young Ray Charles.
Here's Steve Winwood's groups, in order: Spencer Davis Group Traffic Blind Faith Ginger Baker's Air Force Traffic Solo career I'm so proud of you, recognizing Steve!
Drummer Ginger Baker was in Cream with Clapton and came from a jazz background, Bassist was Rick Gretch and he came from a Progressive Rock Band called "Family"
Angela, as you like Steve Winwood can I suggest you react to something from his much overlooked eponymous 1st solo album? ‘Vacant Chair’ and ‘Hold On’. Ewing my favourites.
Ginger Baker was the drummer from Clapton's first group, Cream. You might enjoy a more recent version when Winwood & Clapton got together for the first time in about 20 years. ua-cam.com/video/8L82II1lNjo/v-deo.html Also check out theiir performance of anothe Blind Faith song "In The Prescenc Of The Lord" ua-cam.com/video/98XqT4kBWT4/v-deo.html. Pure magic! Incidentall I love Can't Find Muy Way Home, it's the first song I learned to play on the guitar!
Blind Faith were formed after Cream broke up and Stevie left the Spencer David Group. He has an amazing soulful voice and combine that with Eric's playing and wow! They were pretty short lived only making one album-Colin Ward
Yes, that's Steve Winwood. He was in a few other bands before going solo. Check out "I'm a Man" when he was with the Spencer Davis Group. Also check out "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" when he was with the group Traffic.
Great collaboration, if for just one album and tour in 1969, this song is an all time perennial on classic rock radio. Another classic on the Blind Faith album is Had to Cry Today, one of Clapton's best riffs and extended solos in a decade where he was at his very best, with fire and aggression not seen nearly as much after he took a break to dry out in the early 70s. Clapton and Winwood had a reunion about 12 - 15 years or so ago and did excellent renditions of Blind Faith and other classics from their old school days. You can see this and original Blind Faith on You Tube, well worth checking them out, you will love this collaboration! Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎤🎸🎶
Nice! What nice surprises! Chillin in the park in London. I wonder if the band was so new that the camera operator was unsure who to focus on and when to do so because the composition seems amateurish. Ginger Baker was the drummer in Cream alongside Eric Clapton.
Angela, you haven't reacted to any great Rascals songs. Groovin, Good Loving, Beautiful Morning and more. I know many viewers would enjoy doing so. Two great singers Felix Cavaliere and Eddy Brigatti.
I am touched that you were able to pick out Steve Winwood. An immense talent in the world of music.
That guy killing it on guitar is Eric Clapton 🎸 Steve Winwood on vocals and keyboards.
One the first supergroups!!
Yes! That’s the amazing Steve Winwood. You have a great ear Angela.
Eric Clapton and ginger baker were in cream before blind faith
Yes, Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton (that guy...) on guitar, Ginger Baker on drums. Steve started with Spencer Davis Group, more notably a member of Traffic around this time.

Agreed 👏👏👏👏👏
Not a super group, just a reshuffling of members from contemporary bands. Super groups are created after each of the member secure their legends elsewhere.
@@Hexon66it was right after Cream sooo
And they were called Cream for a reason... they already had big names in the music scene then ;D
Steve Winwood was with Traffic also. The Guitar player is Eric Clapton, he and Ginger Baker (drummer) were part of Cream prior to Blind Faith.
You havta check out Stevie Winwood's other band Traffic. I recommend that song The Low Spark of the High Heeled Boys.
Traffic was great!
Steve Winwood is a musical genius. Period. "Presence of the Lord" and this song are their best.
Nice one, Angela! You should see Steve Winwood performing this on an acoustic guitar in front of his fireplace! Very much more personal. Thank you for this classic!!
I agree 💯 percent with you. Although this version is great I feel like the acoustic version is better. You saved me a comment. Peace. 😁🖐️✋🤚🥴🤔
Again, the original studio version needs to be heard 1st, THEN the acoustic version.
He also does a great acoustic version of John Barleycorn Must Die.
They call them “super groups” but they were really just experimenting with sounds and jamming with friends. The days of discovery were magical indeed. 💕
Supergroup because they were tve best at it :)
I am pleasantly surprised you recognized Steve Winwood's voice! He has been part of many supergroups, this is one of many. Also Eric Clapton guitar, as others have already commented.

Ginger Baker was the drummer in Cream with Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce.👍
Awesome group!😊
Eric on guitar and Ginger beating the drums. Killer group, short-lived that it was.
yes it is you are amazing steve winwood
Yup. A VERY young Steve Winwood!
No sorry. His voice was not able to sound like shit til later on. He was in the Spencer Davis group and sung a top 40 hit when he was 14
@@BARASOLEX Wtf are you talking about? Of course that's Stevie Winwood.
@@maverick214 what are you talking about ? I never said it wasn’t. But he was having a very bad singing day
Steve Windwood, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Ric Grech, one the late 60's super Groups they split after 3 months and 1 album
That's a cute dance you did there 😊
And the drummer from CREAM Ginger Baker.
You should listen to some of the more recent times Clapton and Winwood do this song. They are perfect for each other and they clearly love playing together.
Studio version is awesome! Just chill :)
Steve Winwood plays this fireside acustic

It's also Eric Clapton on guitar and ginger baker on drums.besides Steve winwood on keyboard and vocals
and Rich Grech on bass
Yes that is Steve Winwood .I believe this is the second group he was in.
Third I think, Spencer Davis group, Traffic, Blind Faith
At least the third. He Joined Spencer Davis at 14 but had been playing professionally since he was about 8. Blind Faith existed only briefly during a hiatus of Traffic. During the '60s he was also part of a few attempted groups that each recorded from 1 to 6 songs before breaking up. I think this was his third attempt to form a band with Eric Clapton. Eric Clapton on guitar, Ginger Baker on drumes, and Steve Winwood - Power Group for sure
Yes and just replace Steve with Jack and you have Cream

Try the studio version of can't find my way home
Maestros, solo necesitaron un álbum para demostrar su calidad.
Eric Clapton, Steve Windwood, Ginger Baker, y Rich Grech.
Great song a song for the ages a classic never stops being great 👍
Winwood was about 20 years old here.... Clapton was a little older here.
This is one of the all-time great songs by an all-time great band. BLIND FAITH!
One of my favorite pieces of music.❤ i actually prefer it over the beautiful studio version
Keep posting, Angela! I love the songS you play and your reactions!
1969 was The Birth of Super Groups.
I think the recording is a better sound. The symbols really make the record.
You must not be a musician
It is not your fault Day One. But you should possibly react to the studio version which is a classic
Yes, that’s Steve Winwood. Check out the Spencer Davis Group.
Put the studio version on your phone. It’s a little slower and it really brings out the meaning of the song.
Erics acoustic guitar is the best!

You are pretty sharp for catching that was Steve Winwood. Ginger Baker & Eric Clapton both played in the band Cream.
Eric Clapton's history is extraordinarily deep and rich. You young folk don't know what you're missing.
Oh yeah, I can't seem to find my way home either! One day I will arrive🍂, as we all will! Good luck, be kind, be safe and take care!

Kinda ironic that Steve Winwood's voice is a little woodwind - ish. British musicians of the time formed new groups or hopped around a lot.
