At 4:40 you can achieve the same in camera setting > settings to keep
And then turn all to ON.
this way can preserve last camera settings.
the fact that they are even remotely comparable proves the point that the camera on the S23U is absolutely insane
this video should get atleast 1M views
Right? Right???
Thank you so much!!
Yes bro
Should be more...
Wow. Finally a video that’s not “Apple fanboy switches to S22 Ultra, Lifelong Apple user switches to S22 Ultra, Going back to Galaxy S22 Ultra, or Galaxy S22 Ultra camera test.”
This one compares the zoom with a DSLR. A refreshing video.
There's a setting in the camera settings that let you keep your last used adjustments
Wow the level of work you put into this video must've been immense, appreciate your hard work, awesome video. How does this not have more views, better content than most creators I see.
Thank you so much! 😊
@@stevendivish do you active the super steady mode on samsung while testing the video stabilization?
❤
Galaxy s23 Ultra looks identical to this 5000$ camera setup after uploading to UA-cam lol
Especially the Ultra Zoom Photos 😁
With file transfer, I'm guessing you're using a Mac that's why everything seem complicated. You can simply plug the USB cable to your Mac, the phone should pop up in the File explorer on the Mac, then you navigate to where the files are (DCIM) and copy.
Or if you prefer to do it wirelessly then you have to use cross platform file sharing apps. There are many of them out there. The limitation is Apple's fault not Samsung's. If you were using a Samsung laptop or other Samsung ecosystem devices it would have been equally seamless like it is with Apple devices.
Thanks! Yeah I get it, they are not exactly compatible 🙃
The file transfer also works almost seamlessly between the Samsung Phones and Windows PCs and Laptops. Just make sure you are on the same network on both devices.
@@stevendivish just transfer through Link sharing regardless of your platform.🙂
Yeah he's still a beginner when it's comes to android
Bro I failed to know if it's the phone or not. YOUR SKILLS ARE SO DAMN GOOD!
Thank you so much for watching and support! Glad you liked it!
To be honest i think S23 did a good job because i am viewing this on a big screen i could only differentiate the shot because of the depth of field . The detail is definitely better on the sony but still S23 is not to far behind .
100000% thank you for watching on a bigger screen haha
@@saturnv2677 well who would have thought that equipments which are 2x,3x,10x the price of s23 ultra and are 10 times the size . I didn't know that thanks for telling .
Make sure to not miss the next epic video on this S23 Ultra, its almost ready!
What editing apps you use for editing your photo that shown in the video? Thank you
„Epic“… lol
You are as epic as epic games… NOT EPIC
your content is SO GOOD! I'm so glad I've found your channel.
Thanks you for put in so much efforts in reviewing the camera quality of this phone. Great job!
Thank you so much for your kind words! You made my day!
This was so awesome man! Thank you!
i can say only one thing a 1000$ phone matches that well with an 5000$ professional camera is not an easy thing cameras on phone have came a long way
I had to rewind because I was sure I saw my logo on the screen for a second... Now back to the video! Excellent content btw.
😁😁
Dear, sir, I am most happy to find your UA-cam-Channel for first time today! I appreciate much your way of communicating clearly and explaining every important step you take in order to get the absolute best result when using your Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra! So now I am grateful to be one more of your many subscribers and of course, giving you my thumbs up! Best regards and many blessings from Sweden! ❣💯👍👍👍
WOW! Thank you so much!! You just made my day!! Appreciate the support!
I worked for one of HP's image quality and ink characterization labs for 16 years, And listen well, the difference between a "professional" camera and a phone within the 4"x7" measurements, a normal photo and even a 4'x3' poster is none...That's the case since the Galaxy S5 and more when an average person looks at a photo for about 1.5 seconds and they only focus on an area with a diameter of a .25(quater) coin....and the photos and poster are not zoomed.
The situation here is that an ultra small $65 cell phone camera can do so much and will continue to do better.
Another thing and just so you know, there are printers with technology that just by printing an image the software fixes it to an incredible level, obviously they are not printers to have at home... but there are and the result is amazing.
Great video Sir!!!
Note...with cameras you will end up using photoshop.
Yes I agree, every year this tech gets more accessable to the masses at better prices, the technology leap is just increadible.
Thank you so much for watching and taking your time to share your thoughts!
Hey Steven,
Love your videos. Can you do a video about portrait mode/photographies on the S23 Ultra? Always having trouble getting good shots of faces and so on.
Really nice breakdown! Phone shots turned out super nice 👍
Great video. I'm not sure you realize how image stabilization works on phones if you are surprised the 10x is not a stable as the main camera video. Also if you had 10x with 8k that would magically have given you 40x optical zoom, which is obviously far from possible today.
Thank you sir! Yeah I do understand this. I just mentioned that stabilization relies on the lack of motion blur which makes some accessories and ND filters worthless to use if filming handheld on s23 ultra telephoto zoom lens…
Wow didn't know that . May i ask the Redmi note 12 pro plus which has 200mp , how many optical zoom it has ?
@@hillsongbest3818 none
@@ogkendrick6392 okay without optical zoom but I can use the 200 MP mode, take a photo, and crop it right ?
And thatd sort of replace the need for zooming, right?
@@stevendivish does this mean that an accessory like a gimble would be useless because of the reliance on lack of motion blur? Thanks for all of your knowledge!!
For file transfer, use an external SSD via the USB-C port and transfer footage fast as hell out of the phone or into the phone
Cab you explain more brother? And also, any brands you suggest?
@@erickcardenas1416 I use Samsung T7 1TB external SSD, it's only $99
Thank you very much for the in-depth review of the handset, particularly from the prospective of an iPhone user. However, I don't understand why we must pick between iPhone and Android.
I always have the latest iPhone as my primary phone (due to the ecosystem in my household) and an Android flagship as a second phone to keep my work number. I'm due for an upgrade and I'm undecided between Pixel 7 Pro and S23 Ultra. I think I'll go for the S23 Ultra this time.
Hello, I really admire what you do with your videos. At 10:03, you mentioned having difficulties transferring data from your device. I know that at least when it comes to connecting to your computer using a USB-C cable, you can simply drag and drop the files from the folder that appears on your phone to your computer. It should make the data transfer much easier. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the tip! I use macbok for editing and file transfer isnt always smooth...
@stevendivish I have a MacBook pro... how have you been transferring thr files and keeping the quality?
Nice comparison, thanks for sharing. Regarding file transfer - I sync my photos and videos via OneDrive. I literally do not need to do anything, everything I take get's synced to the cloud.
This is some of the best phone photography and videography content I have seen on UA-cam in a while. Keep up the good work man. I'd like to build an entire workflow around Phone cinematography and photography, and I currently own the s22 ultra. Any tips on how to not f**k things up😂😂.
great work man ! keep up the good work
Appreciate it!
I've been watching this on my 4k 89" TV and both versions look great. But I understand the problem with the oversharpening and too much contrast in the S23 pictures. That didn't stop me to buy one today. I hope I can do some nice pictures and videos in it for working with them in Davinci Resolve Studio.
I have the old S21 model (non-ultra), and everyone keeps asking me why my photos look so good. My secret is that I use the telephoto lens quite often and it just makes photos, portraits and depth shots so much better.
u mean telephoto lens on the s21? How do you do this?
Quite interesting, cause s21/s21+ use 1.1x 64mp cam module with extra crop to emulate telephoto lense
This channel, only 20k subs, but the vid quality is right up there, smooth edit, impressive presentation. Keep it up man
Much appreciated!
Really interesting video! Great to see some stuff for Samsung/Android.. Very helpful, useful tips. Thanks! 👍 ❤
Glad you liked it!
Bro you can use the USB Type- C port for transferring huge files, it's way faster than the Lightning port on the iPhone 14 Pro Max, and for that reason, Apple is forced to implement Type C in their upcoming iphones, best believe the 15 series will have type c, but the transfer speeds won't be fast like that of the Samsung, but faster than the Lightning port, at least from recent leaks though!
Do you know if I can transfer files directly to ssd?
@@stevendivish You can check that on UA-cam bro, you will understand that more ok!
You are excellent at this. 100k subs is easily achievable for your talent. Well done.....💯
Thank you so much 🙏
Very good professional review!
Having owned both apsc n full frame alpha, to me if youre used to Sony's color profiling in its imaging its not hard to guess which one is which. Sony's color profiling are more 'natural' and might look 'boring' to most people but its also the most accurate. For phone, currently i'm using Xperia n Galaxy, but I love both. 😂 Its amazing to see how capable smartphones are nowadays in terms of camera.
Yeah I tried to edit the s23 Ultra photos in a way so they look similar to Sony
Xperia is pretty awesome I heard, how do you like it?
@@stevendivish well, i like Xperias in terms of how the pictures are rendered in a more natural way, and I could just use Lightroom if I needed to put some 'spice' to the images. Another one great thing is their pro imaging apps which really let me customize the camera to get even better result. I just hoped that Sony would be more considerate to give a bit more megapixels to its cameras at least 20mp like the older Xperia, because I also love to take wide scenery images.
But will get natural photos on Galaxy after turning off scene optimizer don't turn it off when you're taking zoom shots because Samsung uses AI to make very detailed photos or videos on zooming.
I feel like I'm taking a big leap by purchasing this phone primarily for the camera. My Nikon has been my baby for so long! Unfortunately it's no longer made.....thank you so much for helping make this change
This is the first video i watched... really impressed with the quality and effort...subscribed without waisting any time...
Pls tell me the hand grip device you used with s23 ultra for taking pics and videos?
Thank you so much for watching and taking your time to comment!!
I just listed the grip in the description in the gear list, you can have a look.
I also have a separate video on my channel about Sherpa system, I cover it more in details there.
Thanks for a great series of videos, I've just got my s23 ultra. What bluetooth grip are you using? The link under your video does not show me that grip here in Canada.
The quick share mode works for me like a charm.
Hi Steven! Could you please do a video about sunset at beach photography with the s23 Ultra? Would be really interesting and educational to see how you use the Expert Raw there. Also would be the amazing to see the epic shots you would get!
Damn you put in work dude. Fun to see. I wish the pro mode and the expert raw mode and the camera app didn't all perform so differently. For some reason the nicest moon pictures come from the camera app, where expert raw just blurs the living daylight out of it. But using the telephoto on normal stuff, i get way more detail and sharpness (and slightly much noise cancelling) with the expert raw app. Very inconsistent. Pro mode has produced 0 desirable results but i'm not a pro, lol.
Also don't like the depth of field with the S23u, just pumps out a lot of soft looking pictures, it seems like.
Astro mode for some reason just smashes it out of the park. Got some amazing shots already :)
Oh and file transfer shouldn't be too hard. You could use nearby share with another phone, or if you hook it onto a pc it should be recognized as a mass storage device, where you can browse folders and extract files to your pc. Had to return my S23u bc production issues, but transfering the files onto my computer was quick. Apparently they upgraded the file transfer speed from 22u to 23u so it's reportedly much faster now.
The quality is decent when taking pictures, the video quality tho…😅 but hey pretty good for a smart phone, and definitely better than iPhone zoom lens
The tripod video shots look good though, I think it’s only in the handheld part of this video is when the telephoto lens struggles because of the image stabilization…
And yeah I agree about the iPhone lol
For some reason fhd has better quality in video than uhd so I only use fhd 60 for video. Try it while zooming in on objects and you'll see.
I'm new to this channel but already see it's too quality. 👌👌👌😎😎😎
Thank you and glad to see you here!
I know there is a setting on the phone to change display resolution, by default is FHD+ (2316x1080) but you can change it to WQHD+ (1088x1440) so maybe this can improve your video preview quality? There is also an App called mcpro24fps that is full of professional video options (even many log curves, 10bit with very high bit rates, etc), and it allows to change preview resolution independent from recording resolution... I'm still testing but I think the 8K video from standard camera is realy good but I only use the display to frame and touch to focus some times, but I trust the phone to adjust all other image parameters automatically. BTW when I use a tripod I disable image stabilization (it disables digital IS but keeps OIS) and it has wider viewing angle because it doesn't crop the border of the sensor pixels)
New subscriber very good review!
Awesome, thank you!
Man your video skills are next level but your channel is so underrated I hope you will groww very soon ❤
Thank you! Slow and steady 🫡
i watched the video in pc at 4k mode and i can tell the difference. Great informational video.
You are a true hero to watch the video on a bigger screen! Makes all my effort worth it haha!
Thank you so much!
Great video! Will you be performing more analysis e.g. pixel peeping between S23 ultra and the Pro Camera? Definitely the Pro Camera will have less noise due to bigger sensor but just wondering how much less noise is there when comparing against to the S23 Ultra. Thank you.
Yes, more videos focused on Galaxy S23 Ultra cameras are on the way, in fact one will be out this week.
Is there anything specific that interests you that I should cover in the future?
@stevendivish Hi, would be interested in post processed raw images from Samsung Expert Raw against professional camera too.
Hi Steven. If you were choosing a hybrid camera today for travelling videos + UA-cam + some photos + timelapses which one you could recommend? I saw you have A7IV and I'm thinking between A7IV, S5IIX, A7CII, ZV-E1, A7SIII, FX3.
I use the 7iv as an ultimate all-arounder for almost 2 years so far, it's an awesome beast. Very versatile, but can feel quite heavy after a long day of filming/photography.
Also a few months ago I got the ZVe1 which I use more as a portable camera when I want to pack light or film YT videos in the city, I love it a lot, the image is crisp and the image stabilization is incredible, though some people do have issues with overheating, in sunny weather but I have not experienced anything bad to be honest.
excellent work!
Thank you so much for watching!
I found the S23U camera is crazy good! I have a separate mega zoom lens that really brings things up close and personal.. HEIC format
Which lens is that id like to have one for my s22 ultra
Los videos son magistrales. 👏🏼👏🏼
Great video. Worth the watch. A question: If you can only get the 100x zoom in picture mode, not video mode, how high a zoom can you get in video mode? And how does that specifically compare to say the top new iphone? Thanks. (I like to do a lot of hiking and other outdoor fun, and being able to see objects thru the phone very long distances and make them closer, snap pics of such and if possible take videos of such is very appealing to me. Heck, might just get a great pic or vid of bigfoot one of these days. And I'll use it handheld almost exclusively)
10x in video mode for the S23 Ultra. If quality isn't an issue, you can screen record while on camera app on 100x zoom. You can just then crop out the stuff you don't want after the video captrue.
20x zoom in video mode , assuming you're shooting 4k
4K video on this phone has a max Optical Zoom of 10x, and max Digital Zoom of 20x. The iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max has a max Optical Zoom of 3x, and can digital Zoom to about 10x. I don't recommend using digital Zoom on either device, so the optical zoom numbers are the only ones that really matter much.
Wow this is crazy! I got this phone and its amazing for the price and what the camera can do. Awesome video! what editing software do you use on your phone? I've been using the snapseed app for a few years now and its ok, but im exploring other options
Thank you so much! I put a lot of efforts in my videos so it makes me happy when people notice and leave their feedback!
I'm using Ligthroom in this video. I also just posted a Night Photography video on this s23 ultra, make sure to watch it!
Also, Apple picture previews never looks like the photo that it's taking in the view finder. The processing takes place after the photo is taken.
Yeah that’s true, it’s kinda annoying honestly. I actually like it more before processing 😅
Exactly! I notice persons pointing out that this is the case for the S23 but it happens with iPhones as well. For example when I take a selfie with an iPhone the photo preview never looks the same as after the photo has been taken.
Question, should we use auto-lens switching or not and why? whats the best pick and shoot method for the non photographer thats wants the best possible?
The vlogger..so handsome😍
Thank you for this video. Hey Question..I notice I no longer have 10x in video after downloading the Expert Raw. Is that normal is it a glitch or a setting I might javelin mistakenly touched?
I'm so impressed with this review. Im lucky to have this phone, a hero 10, a dji action 3 and sorry to a eos1500d and a eos 600d. Great presentation, watched every second. Bring it on.
Thank you so much sir! I hope to see you here soon again in the next video!
Great video, and you sound like you know what you're talking about..... naturally... you've sold me on the Samsung right from the start, comparing it to a professional kit like you've got...... forget about it, for the money I'm spending on this phone I'll be wrapped if it achieves half of what your professional camera can do, plus I can make calls lol.
Thanks!
I loved the pocket pc back in the day too!
YES!!! windows mobile was amazing!!!!
Amazing work, hey bro try to turn off the video stabilisation option you will see a difference in the video quality and details, it will improve
Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
I find these videos fun to compare but at the end of the day, I still go for my pro glass on Pro DSLR FX. Not about better, just uniquely different & versatile. However, I am so impressed w/ the use of the 4x pixel multiplier to get light & details. So it's the feel of having a bigger sensor w/ room to crop. Good video. (:
I meant to add, I do use this Galaxy S23 Ultra along an older Nikon D4s and love it. It's more of a so convenient versatile little sidekick like I used to use my old Canon S120 back in Uni.
Thanks!! For sure cameras dedicated for taking photos or filming videos with interchangeable lenses will offer better quality, but at the same time it is possible to squeeze some really nice photos and videos out of the s23 ultra. I just posted a video btw with a ton of footage from the phone, have a look maybe you’ll like it too 😊
Could u try photo-stacking a clock or something with the S23U? U need to use the "open camera" app to do it & program "helicon focus" to stack them, I have the program so I could do it for you.
Sounds interesting! is this for creating better macro? What is the purpose? What can open camera app do. I have the S23 Ultra, and would like to try it out if you want to help?
My favorite feature of the samsung phones is the stylus ! Makes it easy work with all video and photo editing apps! 😇

Lol! Thanks for your support and coming back for the new video!!
Samsung galaxy S23 ultra is giving tough competition to dslr in zoom test. S23 ultra photos are sharper. I like it .
Plus you can also edit on the phone :)
You can use a type c thumb drive, instead smart switch or just use it to transfer files as you please.
Smart switch doesn’t work with MAC unfortunately. Even though I downloaded the app it always shows connection failure
@StevenDivish so from iPhone you can't transfer to a thumb drive? On Samsung, you have the option to restore from, the cloud, smart switch, or thumb drive.
How do we control fstop or is there a trick to control the same on s23 ultra
Try. Send anywhere. All u need is internet to share files. Else u can use the file transfer option directly available if Der is NFS in ur mobile
Hi mate i think that on the 10x telephoto lens you had that issue with the blurring... Cause it was on 10x zoom telephoto lens on handheld... Maybe... Just my opinion mate

Hey! its the Sherpa System, I have a separate video all about it on my channel and it's also listed above in the gear list.

What's the lens you cover the phone with?
For files transfer I just connect SSD via type-c, speed of files transferring is crazy fast.
Wow, it's so good
Как всё работает на final cut? Переформатирование нужно?
