I love it, she is the perfect person for this. The band have been working in the studio with her for a while now and they are happy with her so I am too.
I like her voice, I think she fits in. Emily came from the band Dead Sara. New drummer is Colin Brittain. Alex Feder is the guy filling in for Brad on guitar. They didn't bring her in to be Chester, Emily was brought in to be Emily. Not replacing Chester, they added a singer and are moving forward. This was the opening song at their 1 hour live stream concert , the rest were older songs. She did have off moments, Mike said , in an interview, that she was getting emotional and starting to cry, he felt similarly then too. New album scheduled for Nov 15, to be called "From Zero", a double entendre with this being a new start and the original band name being Xero.
Of course we'll all ALWAYS miss Chester, but I am immediately an Emily fan. This new chapter of one of my favorite bands is so exciting! Rock on, guys! 🤘😎👍
There are some that don't like it and are causing Drama over her but there are alot of us that like it and are Happy they are playing music again. I think this will bring in new fans and it is the best way to carry Chesters legacy forward. People are saying they should have changed the name but I think that would have been a stupid move. My opinion this takes nothing away from Chester his music is all still there and if you can't except her or the new music then don't listen just keep playing the old music
I remember hearing the kick drum and I think the guy & I are thinking the similar thing that it sounds tuned w/ no muffler inside but would be better off with it
The overall mix from this live stream was bad. Not good at all. And Emily was nervous, understandably. But they crushed it in the LA & NY concerts. For the missing band members, Rob (drummer) chose to leave years ago & Brad (guitar) is involved with everything except for live shows.
