I feel like Italian anti-air development was so limited that Gaijin just takes anything drawn in crayon on some Italian Army base and puts it in-game
I mean, they have a make it sort of fair.
Italy 🇮🇹 designed a super-heavy tank that never produced.
I would like that they add that.
Italy lacks heavy armours
For Italy it made sense to build low range anti-air systems for self-defense since the country is very mountainous and this vehicle actually went through all testing it's just that the Italian army decided that the SIDAM was good enough.

It's funny to think this sparked LESS outrage than when the BTR was added due to it being able to fight ww2 while being cold war. Then you get this.

I see a lot of weird defense for this vehicle, i think its cuz its only in italy and therefore like 15 people are playing it max lol
It has a better UFP and slightly better mobility than the AMX-13 DCA 40 which is at 4.3. All other characteristics being essentially the same between the two. The fact is, the Leopard 40/70 brings nothing different to that BR range since there are already vehicles that perform exactly the same there.

I'm amazed a lot of people don't play the BTR-80 past 8.0.
It's still quite capable with some up tier.

The could give it the cv9040 150mm pen apfsds round and make it 7.0/8.0 or something. It’s technically the same gun as the l/70, the l/70 just fires modern ammunition. So if they wante to they could add, HE-VT, apfsds and ogher programmable rounds to it, and bump the br up

I request a video on the He 100! It's stupidly fast for 1.7, can hold 550+ km/h at deck no problem, excellent climber, only downside is it's engine likes to burn so keep an eye on the temp. Not too OP, and super fun! Bring it to a higher br for a challenge if you want

@@InterstellarTaco I grinded the tree till 9.7 with a 3.7 lineup. I refuse to go above It and fight with go karts against tanks. But here Is the thing: I am coming. I almost finished grinding the hungarian t72, After which i Will come hot with the 9.3 lineup. Do you have any idea how much pain i am gonna inflict on all of you? I played with a subpar tree for 2 years, 2 YEARS, and now I got a tank with more than average armor.
Hey Phly have you ever thought about doing a vid on the AMX-13 DCA 40 (4.3 French aa) it gets 94mm pen at 10m and has good speed and insane turret rotation
fun fact, HE to the hull of this thing doesnt overpressure the turret like it should.

Why should it overpressure? There is a bit of a distance from the hull to the turret and the front of the turret is protected by a decent plate.
This thing is pretty strong, seems like we need to uptier the 75 jumbo about it
If they're going to introduce that then they should intro the Bofors 40mm on the Morris 4x4 truck that the British used in WW2.

everyone freaks over this but at a lower br the brits have had the crusader AA mk1 since the tree came out and you never hear about it, in fact it keeps getting its br dropped.
Also I was having the same graphics problems that I had never had before after the update when I was at movie graphics, I turned it down one, and then the stuttering was gone idk why but something they changed made it strange.

Kinda sad that it is missing HE-RF rounds that it could fire (the gun is a lighter variant of the one mounted on ships, like on the P494 in-game)

It could do well and be fine at 7.0 or 6.7, it is supposed to shoot down planes not to destroy tanks. If tank killing tanks matters for br changes for AAs the the zsu 23-4 should be a 4.3 BR
You can put the Lvkv-42 and AMX-13 DCA 40 up to 6.7 to 7.0 with that reasoning too. All 3 of these SPAAGs have the same gun, ammunition, and penetration statistics. The 2 I mentioned earlier sit at 4.3 while the Leo 40/70 sits at 5.0. All 3 have similar capabilities (the Lvkv has very limited ammo capacity), but the Leopard is the one everyone is whining about because it is a new vehicle. The other 2 have been around for a while so people just forget that they exist even when they are as potent and have a more favourable BR.
All that matters is how much is played and how well it performs overall, doesn't matter if the kills are ground or air.

Just ignore the amx-13 dca that's a lower BR (less mobile but less vulnerable).
The amx doesn't get the full AP belt, is slower and get much less crew making it easy to kill in OS. The 20mm turret armor doesn't help much against .50cal but trigger APHE shells.
Still nasty against broadside tanks tho.
As a long time Bofors enjoyer this thing is way better, play it while you can cause it's moving up.
