@@railgunduck That's why reality should remain as aircraft being blown out of the air 16km away. HARMs could be a nice addition where they make it so that you must have a plane with dedicated HARMs to make it above the tank battle like the ground players have to have dedicated SPAA to defend against air.
Expectation: Pantsir-S1 shoots down anything 16km away from battlefield.
Reality: The Pantsir-S1 crew dismounts when there is radar contact and runs before a bomb hits.

You DO repair faster in caps, though only if they're friendly
You can also repair your tank fully when you don't yet have parts when the tank is new, so i usually hug caps with just unlocked tanks

You should take a look at the new japanese IR missile anti air. That thing is absolutelt brutal. It has the new photo optic tracking, irccm and 30-40g pull. To add on top, the missile has the best range of any anti air, if you can get a lock regardless of range, you will kill it. You can kill jets going sideways to you from 10km
It's called EO or Electro Optical. It is just TV tracking like a AGM-65B or GBU-8
yea dude i got it when it came out and it was OP as hell, they might have nerfed it a little but its still awesome
@@Grayjinx I checked out most of the dev diaries that mentioned and it was only mentioned once. (its "turret" rotation speed was nerfed a tiny bit). If I missed anything, feel free to correct me

Recently a patch was dropped that buffed anti-air, since then the 2S6 is back at its full glory, take it for a few games, it's gonna be a really good experience, I guarantee it.

@@momopirou3107 it wasn't, when the Pantsir was first introduced all SACLOS missiles got nerfed and were utter crap.
Do you have any videos on setting up your controls for the laser and radar modes?
I struggle to use the laser locking bombs, and often find myself flying over the target without dropping.
The amx 40 is my absolute favourite tank in war thunder and I got to see the only remaining one in Saumur, France over summer!

How do I hold my barrel at a certain place with tanks that have a commanders sight? In low tier tanks I can just press C to look around, but in higher rank vehicles this just opens the commanders view.

Advanced method, pickle one normally, and one going up at near 90°? For lasing one, boom, then lasing 2, boom?

You are still preforming close air support. the distance is in reference to how close your munitions land to friendlies not how close your plane is, it's a very common misunderstanding. Anyways love the videos hope to see more.

is there a way to maintain a stable turn rate using keyboard+mice setup ? Or is it systemtically 0% or 100% ?
Using full real controls allows you to input full up elevator trim which lets you turn at a constant rate

@@Fortheweak13 No you can emulate a joystick but its really shit and difficult to do, its just like in a car how you can lock the steering at a certain angle. But the best way to do it without using full real is pulling and just tap s you can also just have it a small distance from the crosshair and it wont pull 100% but you have to manage it a lot so not worth it

its best anti-air in game for 1 of 2 reasons: incomplete data(Especially the radar, or devs just refuse to believe what a PoS the radar is) or they just like the name so they made it better than irl(not the first time)

I request a video on the He 100! It's stupidly fast for 1.7, can hold 550+ km/h at deck no problem, excellent climber, only downside is it's engine likes to burn so keep an eye on the temp. Not too OP, and super fun! Bring it to a higher br for a challenge if you want

pantsir S1 was made to take down helicopter mainly to protect better anti air vehicles such as S300 S400 it can hit jets but the Jet has a higher chance of hitting

when ever I play and I try to take like a f5c or a6e I get insta locked by a strela and die its almost impossible to outrun especially on a6e its no fun at all.

We are getting the Gripen, but the Rafale and Eurofighter are way too capable to come any time soon.

As a Britain main who loves CAS (both using it and shooting it down), and hates the Pantsir S1 with the burning fury of a thousand suns, this video is free therapy. I’ve developed a bit of a hobby of using the British Apache with Starstreaks to hunt anti-air and light vehicles. I spot one, set the target point, and duck back down before they can shoot me. Then I pop back up and fire. By the time the Pantsir fires back, my missile is already halfway there, and it’s usually a one-shot. Unfortunately, that helicopter lacks good anti-air capabilities, as Starstreaks have been phasing through planes without damaging them about 80% of the time since “Sons of Attila”, so the only reliable weapon it has against planes is its gun. The Starstreak does work against helicopters, though it’s not guaranteed, so I tend to use the British Apache early game to take out enemy helicopters, light tanks and armoured cars, and anti-air. I’ve even figured out where to hit a Leopard with Starstreaks from the side to one-shot them (just under the back of the turret).
I do love using the Tornado and the Harrier GR.7 in ground RB as well. Notice how I didn’t specify which Tornado? Sometimes I replace my anti-air crew slot with the Tornado F.3 and play it as an interceptor, taking out enemy planes on their way to the battlefield.

To be fair, a decent chunk of my time playing CAS is doing it in off-meta ways. If a plane has large rockets like the Red Angel or Uncle Tom, I will use that instead of bombs because it's more interesting that way. If a plane has an anti-tank cannon, I will use that. Sometimes I'll take a heavy bomber into ground RB just to carpet bomb the battlefield. Even at top tier, I don't always use weapons like the PGMs or the Mavericks. Sometimes I'll just load a Tornado with drag bombs and do a supersonic low altitude carpet bombing run. The more skill in involved in securing the kill, the more satisfying it is. The sillier it is, the more fun I have doing it.
Plus, I just complained about Starstreaks being broken for about half of my original comment, and talked about how I enjoy playing the Tornado F.3 as an interceptor in ground RB. I like shooting them down just as much as I like playing them.
