Are you still here Sawyer :(?
I can be Sawyer for you! I can be Sawyer long time!
Finally i´m happy for him
Finding pvt Sawyer
Hi
If you want the coolest blend of your 762x54R and American engineering and you just want to collect firearms, they did have a run of lever action 762x54 rifles issued to the Russians during world War. I and they're really hard to find and hard to get when you do. Very expensive but that might be one you want to keep an eye out for
Sometimes an older gentleman can find it hard to get the gear up, nothing to be ashamed of.
TOBY
A real og
underrated comment
I remember you for some reason. Why do I recognize you
I appreciate you speeding up the intro by 100x so the entire video wasn’t just watching hand crank landing gear! :)
imagine if modern jets had manual landing gear
It would potentially be similar to what we just witnessed
I don't see a video uploaded on your channel yet today, bub. Less talk. More Rock.
@@Verttix9 sees airfield sitting a few km away and starts cranking, looks up a few second later and sees it is a hell of a lot closer - sweats nervously.
When are you playing with phly again?
Phly at 10:16 : "Why didn't anyone recommend it to me earlier?!"
Guy who recommended it for over 220 days: Am I a joke to you?
*900 days
It's almost like that was the *joke*, or something....?
Phly: "Why didn't anyone tell me about this earlier?!"
Sawyer: **Sitting in the bathtub, laughing and crying simultaneously while smearing lipstick all over his face**
Day 6 in the woodlands of War Thunder. I’ve managed to make it to the eastern woods in Poland. I’ve seen a lot happening, but it’s still a struggle. Because of risk of being discovered, I send this carrier pigeon to the PhlyDaily HQ: “It is dangerous here. Panzers are roaming uncontrollably here. Send in a squad of T26E4 Super Pershing’s! We need to control the numbers of Big German Cats here!” Good luck, and I will send transmission again soon.
You skipped day 4. Cmon man,
Always send a panther transmission as trophy to your general for a medal and promotion
@@p4o3nix99 he's sending things via carrier pigeons. They were probably eaten.
This is recon platoon. Enemy heavy armor advancing to your position with mechanized infantry support. Withdrawal recommended.
The T26E5s might be a bit over kill for those Panthers.
How could you unsub from this legend?
Because 1 guy asked non stop and papa phly only just now got to it
@@yordobelps He didn't ask nonstop; he stopped
You click the word "Subscribed" right under the title of the video, and there'll be a dropdown menu. In that menu, you click the bottom option, which is "Unsubscribe", and that's how.
Easy
so he basically unsubbed because he didn't get his request? idk man, seems spoiled to me. remembered a guy years ago who numbered his requests. it went so high and many supported him but it took so long. then one day, he finally got heard. didn't even need to unsub
"We're gonna kill a child!"
*Baby phly in the other room* 'haha, I'm in danger!'
Day 1: Another great hidden jem often looked over is the low tier T-80. It is the fastest firing tank in the game that isn’t an auto cannon or has an autoloader. And it has one of the best gun depressions a Russian tank can have at a whopping -8° of maximum gun depression. It’s turret traverse is abysmal and it’s armor is something to be desired, but the reload is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it. (Great content as always! Your videos are always a joy to watch!)
ACORN moment
better tank: t50
lmao jem *gem
That’s my favorite low tier tank in the game. Think I’ve gotten the most kills with it too hahah
Oh and the suspension actively fights against you when you are moving and trying to stop. Like it invented "anti-stab." But as a low tier sniper, esp. if you angle it with the engine out, yeah.
Years ago, I saw a SVT-40 in the Greenville, SC Cabella's "gun room". I considered buying it but it was expensive (also 54R ammo was starting to get expensive). It did look like the big brother to an sks. If you wanted a semi-auto 7.62x54R I would stick with the upsized AK style rifles (dragunov clones etc.). The SVT-40 is more of a collectors gun (I have read that they shoot well but are hard to disassemble).
Gonna give you a neat fact. The SKS is actually just a scaled down PTRS-41 anti tank rifle, chambered in 7.62x39.
@@ahalfsesameseedbun7472need me an SKS chambered in 14.5x114
I was in that gun room Saturday, lol.
I have an SVT-40 and its actually very simple
SVT is very simple, getting the recoil spring back in is kinda hokey but that’s about it
Hey phly, if you don’t wanna spend the cash on an svt-40 but want a semi auto 7.62x54R, the Romanian PSL is a good pick. Also, you can put a scope on it
Edit: Zastava m91 is also a good pick
Even those are going up in price, at least those may be a bit more available though. Lord the SVT skyrocketed after Russian sanctions went up. I kick myself for not getting that one relatively ok one for like 80 bucks years ago...sigh.
I wouldn't get a psl they have severe accuracy issues with repeated fire and have issues with over gas tubes
Is PSL an SVD copy? I'm sure there's some SVD copies or remakes right?
@@MartianLivesMatter it's a copy only in looks there construction and designers are totally different the psl is not the same gun, it's a topic that 9hole did a great video on If you want to know more
@@MartianLivesMatter They're for similar purposes (and look similar) but nah the actual mechanics of the rifles are very different. A PSL is essentially a scaled up AKM while the SVD is its own thing and is closer to the SVT-40 than AK
Phly I have an SVT-40! It truly is fantastic. An addendum to your mention of the mosins recoil, the SVT almost has negative recoil because the muzzle-break on it is extremely effective. But you still very much feel the power
Hey Phly! The Dragunov is also 7.62×54R and it's a fantastic rifle! Basically a more advanced SVT-40!
Damn that T-26 brought back some old memories. Been inside of a T-26 and lemme tell you.. that shit is tiiiiiiight u really need to squeez yourself in there. Me and my brother just barley fit inside. Mad respect to the fighters that drove those things!
I love all your videos! Still finding videos I ain’t watched yet, you’re the main reason I play this game, you’re awesome!! Please keep doing what you do!
A dream vehicle for 1.0 would be a Universal carrier with flamethrower. That thing was a beast!
if there was infantry it would be devastating
the way how this plane looks and handles is nuts!!!!!!!!! like wtf it's a wonderful suggestion he did for ya phly
Phly is back with another great vid! Keep it up dude :)
Yay another PhlyDaily video! These make my day :)
Since you mentioned giving the T-26 more credit, consider playing the T-26E. The soviet one from the market, with applique armor. And don't forget to angle.
Comeon' this is WT. Play the T-26-4 for extra suffering.
I actually didn't know phly was a gun owner, time to use my knowledge of firearms to help him in any way he requires
given how much you love low tier ground rb, and especially the soviets, i cant believe you havent done a video on the Ar-2 yet. fantastic bomb load for its BR, wild maneuverability for a bomber, and it even has an air brake. i use it all the way up to BR 4
Agreed, that thing is a beast.
I'd like to see him use the Su-2s as well. They're like baby versions of the IL-2!
I do reenacting with the SVT inspired German G43. Gotta reduce the gas pressure on the old rifle so sometimes it doesn't like to cycle correctly, but it is fun dumping a mag.
I absolutely love phyl talking about guns
normal day to see phly making a guy happy in the formation flight
You're a real one for this man.
My grandfather owned several WW2 guns, one of which being an original SVT-40 with one rifle grenade (it was a dud but still looked cool). Sadly I have no idea where it went as some of his sons took the gun safe when he passed and I'm in contact with none of them.
Hey. Just wanted to say. Glad to see you posting more videos!!!
I never thought that day will come....you have won Sawyer but at what cost?
Maybe one day Phly will also play the MB5....one of the Planes he hates.
As I recently acquired a 1940 production SVT-40 I must say it’s an awesome pick for a gun to own, very fun to shoot and cool weapon, ammo is readily available, and not overly pricey. The gas system is nice as it helps absorb some recoil along with the muzzle brake that shoots flames. Wayyyy better than the SKS in my opinion (plus everyone seems to have an SKS so takes some of the cool factor away)
I have an SVT-40 and it is amazing to shoot. Cleaning it is tough but it is such a good rifle.
That aa fire right after the first bombing had perfect timing... You said "we still have the big one," and i thought some acdc was about to play. Lmao
He finally did it
Hey Smarfer! (^_^)/
Yoooo smarfer
as a owner of SVT-40 i can tell you that ITS BEAST but the gun can be tricky sometimes:
+ fire rate
+ semiautomatic
+ reload by magazine or clips from above
+ mf lookin good
+ precise shooting
+ 2 versions: with or w/o scope mount
+ kicks hard
- overheats quite quickly
- very complicated and sturdy disassembly (pain #1)
- cleaning is hell --> most places hard to reach (pain #2)
- impossible to clean the bore completely
- ww2 gun so very keen to corrosion if not treated properly
Compressing the recoil springs while putting the dust cover back on is a major pain.
@@jeratday1934 omg yes thats a nightmare..... last time the spring flew away so fast that as a memory i have a hole on the wall
Hey Phly, if you want an SVT-40 I would probably wait a few years to see if they come down, but the best place I know of right now to get them are a few online auctions and some gun shows occasionally. I've seen them go for less than 1200 bucks sometimes, but SVD is also a nice rifle if you can find one of those for cheaper
Just so you know phly, for future reference, the sks fires a 7.62x39 (rimless) cartridge not the 7.62x54R (R for Rimmed) cartridge. The x39 is slightly smaller than the x54R and is used in AKs as well as sks’s. Whereas the 54R is used in higher pressure firearms like the mosin nagant, or the DP28 machine gun.
You probably know that already and maybe it was just a wording mistake but idk. Just letting you know
@@christianduenas1976 I took it to mean he enjoys the SKS, but because he really likes the 7.62X54R, he wants an SVT 40 to give him the feeling he had when he owned the Mosin.
Editing out the insurance ramble, wonderin how hard you went Phly xD
Hey Phly! another fun 1.0 idea would be the Ju-87 B with firebombs :) i didnt know they had them either don't worry
There were added in the recent update. Haven't tried them yet but it must be very fun!
@@Lord_Jamilson pretty useless against anything closed, even extremely light armored in my experience
Literally the definition of “holdup I’ve got a meme for this”
SVT is on cool rifle. One of the better from WWII. I just wonder if the magazines wont be a problem. Back then you really had only stripper clips, so if you get one make sure to keep that mag in a good shape.
17:50 Phly: Oh nice landing dude, (crashes and explodes 2 seconds later) oh, nevermind
I’ve saw his comments, but I thought you already played it… poor man
I dont have a huge amount of experience with small arms, but the only thing ive ever fired that kicked harder then my Mosin Nagant was a single shot breach loading shotgun from 1911. That felt like a horse kicking you in the shoulder.
15:46 I've never heard anybody say "Were gonna kill a child" so enthusiastically in my life😂
That Sea Fury MkII just going for it! Killed me haha.
Love your vids mate 😂
0:34 it’s like the landing sence from Memphis belle where they are lowering the one gear by hand
Haha the random dude shooting at you as you was working the landing gear was funny.
I was just playing the Hawk III a few days ago and man does it slap. Combining it with the new Sdfkz.222 and maybe I might be biased because I played it after suffering the top tier grind for the F-16AJ, but you get one of the funnest low tier lineups.
Back in this day putting the landing gear down was the first thing on the check list because it took ages, you will probably need to take a break halfway through, and if the gear arent down you arent landing anyways so might as well get it out of the way.
Dang Phly finally did it 😂 I played with that plane over that guy
You know phlys a dad when he just randomly goes on a rant about how much a check up is.
this is one of the moments of all time
The B6N1 mod.11 is basically a Zero with a 800kg bomb or x6 60kg bombs and a 1.7 br sight. It has no offensive weapons but you can also try the B6N2 mod.12 with two 7.7mm machine guns in 2.3 br. Maybe it can be an interesting video
I have had some fun games putting torpedoes on that thing in naval arcade
I have a mosin m44 and svt-40 and absolutely love both. Very little recoil on the svt for the round due to weight paired with the muzzle break.
Give the P-26 Peashooter, the OS2U Kingfisher, the B-18 Bolo, and the B-17 Flying Fortress, and the PBY Catalina some love.
Them planes be combussin
That bombing run was i n c r e d i b l e
0:50 "chewie.... we're home"
This looks really fun to fly.
13:40 lmao preach. the chaos laugh at the end perfectly sums up US healthcare
just love these intros every time! :D
Slower than my dad returning with the milk
"Just bill me when I use it , biiiii...." tactical editing. I see what you did there @PhlyDaily
Phly look into a PSL-54C. Not as affordable as it used to be, but probably more attainable than an SVT40 and gives Dragunov vibes.
that healthcare rant really hit home xD
I have like five Finnish mosins and few Russian as well I enjoyed the 7.62R especially if you can find brass ammo and a good heavy ball my m39 loves 180grn. My uncle chip had a SVT 40 and loved it you should look at some auctions. If you like learning more about firearms forgotten weapons is sweet a channel to watch lol
The most cinematic gear legs I’ve ever seen 😂
I've been having fun with the MBR-2. Recently, I took out 2 105 Shermans, with it. I hit a tree after it, but I did it.
Damn that intro was long! 😂 Anyways, i love your content Mr.P❤
some say he's still turning the wheel crank to this today... waiting for it to end so he can land in Heaven
For the SKS, you can buy training ammunition. It's all plastic and cheap. Great for plinking cans or pumpkins. OH I ALMOST FORGOT THERES A SODA CAN LAUNCHER FOR IT!!!!!!!! @PhlyDaily p.s. do not put buttstock on leg when launching. Could give you dead leg.
"I give a salute to the T-26" It is a solid tank.
When your scrolling for something to watch and Phly pops up 😎👌
Dude who unsubbed has no clue what he did
i once made the mistake of handling a SVT-40 i have wanted one ever since. It is surprisingly light also
Nice
I've owned an SVT-40 its decent but would jam when fired fast...you pretty much got to open the gas port as much as possible to get good cycling of rounds...now a SVD Dragunov wont have this issue but it cost 3x as much for the full kit...as far as modding an SKS just go for it as pretty much everything it bolt on/replacement I.E. stock, mag, hell even a polish is easy just to clean up burrs...hope this helps
My brother has an svt 40 and I loved shooting it. I highly suggest you take a look at the Swiss k31
So, funny enough my first firearm that I purchased was an svt40, so much fun absolutely amazing you'll love it
Those landing gear still move faster than the turn radius of the tornado
Wait, when did Phly talk about an SKS? I freakin love that gun. We have a Chinese Type 56 which is weirdly a bit better than the Russian one. We think it's from the 50s and may have even been Vietnam surplus. Still pounds nails, even with the crappy antique red dot my grandpa slapped on it ages ago.
Another great video thanks! What is that saloon hawai jazz music played in the beginning called? 😅🎸
Glad to see phly is BASED
That's a lot of crank turns right there.
Wow! It was truly enjoyable to watch you play using this plane. Thanks phly!
Nice video Phly 👍
I'm super surprised that you didn't use the M8 LAC that thing is a beast
Great, now I gotto rewatch Memphis Belle... :)
That looks really crazy!
The Stay on Parents till 26 was from Obamacare, peak irony.
Crank that landing wheel down! 😅
The svd is a newer semi auto 7.62x54R probably more available. Theres also other guns that are semi autos chambered in that round.
Phly “why didn’t anyone recommend this earlier?” Dudes been recommending it for years lol 😂.
11:53 that formation reminded me of night witches sabaton music
Man I love when you do the low tier stuff! Low tier is fun tier!
svt-40's are super cool, it's too bad the rifles and their magazines are so damn expensive, hopefully someone will make a repro someday
I wish there were more self-loading 7.62x54r rifles that weren't a long-stroke piston system.
Phly you should replay the bradley and use the atgm right this time and show the true power of the bradley. You don't have to aim above the target with the atgm for it to explode above the target. It already does that just aim center mass
On the theme of planes you haven't featured on the channel, you should try the Italian Ro.57 Quadriarma in ground RB!
Well.... Going to go ahead and start up warthunder again ... Lol ggs phly
10 million years later and its still going.
