I just feel bad for Dom DeLuise, the dude was legitimately funny when he was doing his own thing, but he kept picking these types of roles and now he'll forever be known as the guy who was in crappy animated kids movies throughout his whole career.
I actually liked this movie as a kid, so I was shocked when I found out a few years ago it's considered one of the worst animated films of all time. "Maybe it's just rose-tinted nostalgic glasses again," I thought. I recently rewatched it and...yeah, it was definitely rose-tinted nostalgic glasses. Now I will say this. When people talk about the historical inaccuracy of the movie, the always point to Pico. The whole talking woodworm thing doesn't bother me--it's the fact they forgot to mention a little thing called THE GENOCIDE OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES!
And sadly that type of thought process from crusty old white guys in suits with fake degrees, is why shit like Cocomellon is allowed to exist and hyjack UA-cam.
One thing I know this film got wrong is EVERY GOD DAMN PERSON EVEN IN THE MEDIEVAL ERA KNEW THE EARTH WAS A SPHERE. The only thing they got wrong was everything was centered around the Earth, despite the fact that there were many planets and stars across the universe.
Feel like that scene with the telescope should be a meme gif for "how simps see a hot character" . Feel like any of these scenes from this movie would be a meme.
I’m not even gonna lie. Even though it was edited, this was the worst movie watching experience I’ve ever had. Not because of you all, but the movie itself is horrendous. You guys are pretty funny though.
I had this movie in cassette as a kid, I just remembered I like the "Romance" and the "action" scene in the end. Also, if you thought this was like a fever dream, you should watch the Felix the cat movie.
This movie was my childhood, and I have this on VHS at my family house... DVD for remastering this movie is out of print and it very expensive to buy... I dont understand why this movie has been hated so much and I know it actuallt fuck up, I know...
Oh Columbus is the discoverer of America as we sail the sea in 1492 and the good queen Isabella gave her jewels to her fella so Columbus could sail cross the ocean blue!
These animators got some weird fetishes, not only with Columbus being stripped while choking but they also put his feet in a bunch of shots. Wonderful viewing experience 7/10
Oh god this, the cringe is strong with this one, it's like two stories mashed together that have no connection with each other. Ain't gonna lie though, the villain did peak my interest.
I have to add why the hate on 90's animated films, do you not remember beauty and the beast by disney or prince of Egypt by DreamWorks. There were some good ones, though there were ones like this too XD but still there were good ones.
Also in defence of the 90's animation at least there was some sort of effort, but CGI animation of this era, anyone hear of a company named the Asylum, those pixar knock offs, and those CG biblical tales. For the record not mocking anyone if you like these, they just seem rough to me.
Oh jeez, this one. 4:15 - Barbie movie reviews when? Something I eventually learned is this animation violated this one rule that says don't put too much on screen. Visual and/or sound. Because it's going to be too overbearing and you will just shut out. Unless you drank a combo of Red bull, G-fuel, Mountain dew and consumed pop rocks to get your speed then this may be the movie for you. 6:18 - "I feel smarter just by looking at you" I am getting Danny from The Room Vibes here... 23:57 - That's the moment the background became santient and gave up. That's like you don't want to go to work if your boss has been doing some major bad management and you're like "you know, what's the point?" 25:03 - Morning scope. Like you know what but it's the Sailing edition. 35:57 - I believe you are thinking this: asphyxiophilia, hypoxyphilia or breath control play. So uh, will there be a history lesson to go along with the review? Also if you think your exp seeing this in 2nd grade is... interesting. I remember seeing Watership Down (1978) in either 1st or 2nd grade and to this day I don't know why.
I just feel bad for Dom DeLuise, the dude was legitimately funny when he was doing his own thing, but he kept picking these types of roles and now he'll forever be known as the guy who was in crappy animated kids movies throughout his whole career.
At least he was in a few good Don Bluth films.
Honestly I see it more as his voice work was the redeeming factor of many crappy 90s kids animated movies. XD
This movie has a hooding good time actually not really
"This is fun. This is stupid. This is stupid fun."
Said the writers when they made this movie.
really?
I showed The Thief and the Cobbler to my friends and they were having a wild time. Just wait until I show them this.
I don't remember reading all this about Christopher Colombus in history class but I gotta say it would've been interesting.
The real magic voyage are the worms we….. wait….where was I going with this?

The animators are Gareth from Galavant. He likes them either extra THICC or unhealthy skinny and nothing in-between.
Classic example of not trusting the audience.
"They're just kids!" Or "kids need constant noise to be entertained!"
Lots of the lines were ad-libbed.
And sadly that type of thought process from crusty old white guys in suits with fake degrees, is why shit like Cocomellon is allowed to exist and hyjack UA-cam.

Phil Nibbelink worked not only on this Movie! He worked also on Netflix Marmaduke and Puss in Boots 1999. What a Entertainer 😄
And Romeo and Juliet Sealed with a Kiss too!
his best notable works are Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Fievel Goes West
Man watching this video all these years later still makes me laugh 😂
Columbus committed mass genocide against the Taino. He watches "The Magic Voyage" in Hell everyday on loop as a punishment.
Huh, I guess NC wasn't kidding when he said the Jafar rip-off was a total waste of the animation
Feel like that scene with the telescope should be a meme gif for "how simps see a hot character" . Feel like any of these scenes from this movie would be a meme.
Were going back in time to the first thanksgiving to get turkeys off the menu.
If you really want fever dream animated movies, but also one that has to do with history, I would recommend Valiant 2005
Lol the thumbnail of the video.
What is this film? A piece of dogpile as Delgo and titanic The legend goes on.
I’m not even gonna lie. Even though it was edited, this was the worst movie watching experience I’ve ever had.
Not because of you all, but the movie itself is horrendous. You guys are pretty funny though.
That's one hell of a movie.
Never heard of it before
Being born in 89 is strange. I grew up in the middle of the transition from this to the good stuff.
Being born in 08 kinda sucks. I'm a 2000s kid but I was born so late to the 2000s that I'm more of a 2010s kid.
Hard to believe this was actually given a theatrical release. XD
I had this movie in cassette as a kid, I just remembered I like the "Romance" and the "action" scene in the end. Also, if you thought this was like a fever dream, you should watch the Felix the cat movie.
Beavers live in North America and Canada... Not anywhere close to where this movie takes place.
i remember when this movie used to be a huge target for movie reviewers on youtube back in the day.
LoL everytime I rewatch this video I can’t stop laughing. lmao this movie is so bad yet so funny at the same time😂
This movie existed
This movie was my childhood, and I have this on VHS at my family house...
DVD for remastering this movie is out of print and it very expensive to buy...
I dont understand why this movie has been hated so much and I know it actuallt fuck up, I know...
34:30 is where I lmao. Wish I joined this. 🤣🤣
This movie makes Pocahontas look historically accurate.
a yes, a movie from my childhood.....oddly.
my parents were tortured to watch this movie on loop thanks to my older sisters.
my only memorable thing about this movie is "how the heck did a guy lose all his clothes while being hung"
Oh Columbus is the discoverer of America as we sail the sea in 1492 and the good queen Isabella gave her jewels to her fella so Columbus could sail cross the ocean blue!
And then committed genocide so badly he was scrutinized by people of his time lol
That fairy is very Rugrats/Bratz looking
These animators got some weird fetishes, not only with Columbus being stripped while choking but they also put his feet in a bunch of shots.
Wonderful viewing experience 7/10

well given this dude's a woodworm one day is long for him since male woodworms live 3-4 days. It's 1/4 of his whole life that he knew Columbus.
why are the sailors not wearing shoes? 28:58
Man you guys are making me feel old XD
hearing people say "so in the 90's they didn't draw on the computer?" XD
I have to add why the hate on 90's animated films, do you not remember beauty and the beast by disney or prince of Egypt by DreamWorks. There were some good ones, though there were ones like this too XD but still there were good ones.
@@yuki0kurois0akura I was going to comment the same thing. What's up with this girl hating 90s movies?
But also my favorite childhood cartoon!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
This predicts the “pioneering” quality of Corey Feldman’s music career.
You know for kids 25:16
Smithy?? You mean Smee? XD
I enjoyed watching The Magic Voyage when I was a kid.
MAKES ME SO HAPPY AUDRIE GREW UP WITH BARBIE MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RIP raisorbalde's orange hair
2022-2022

The 3th Rat died offscreen thanks to the swarm
Thirth?
Christopher Columbus never discovered America
Then what did he discover? Neverland?
Wow I watched this a few times as a kid back in the 90s
Hey man just wondering when are u going to do season 2 of Kid Cosmic
And I thought I was the only one who remembered this acid trip x3
LOL this was a fever dream of a movie when I first saw it
This was the movie which introduced me to Dom Deluise.... You think it would be thru Don Bluth, but nope...
I watched this movie as a kid.
Why would we ever make a movie about Christopher he was a real peice of crap in life
Even people in his time who were disliked hated Columbus what he did.
It was a different time basically when less people knew what Columbus actually did to the natives and were fed the idea he was a hero.
He said "fish" not "B**ch 3:26
Hey raisor, i was wondering if you would review adgth Christmas carol special in december. I watched it and it was totally a masterpiece;)
Hi how's it going man
You that right sir swear a lot
Corey Feldman should never be trusted behind the microphone when it comes to singing, this is proof.
I agree they would kill him 28:48
❤
25:02
idk what’s more cringe, the movie or the people talking over the movie
XD
Oh jeez, this one.
