Fun fact about Mega Man 3 on PC, Capcom was originally trying to get Megaman on everything they could and so these guys ended up making it on DOS, but Mega Man 3 was originally supposed to be a game called Eco man and they sought to publish it and they said they would under the condition that made it a Mega Man game, and at the time Megaman 3 was out so they just called it Mega Man 3
Yeah capcom was really invested in PC back then. They even made a semi-decent dos port of megaman x that's somewhat enjoyable considering how most dos ports sorta just sucked. The only major downsides are that the audio (especially the music) sucked because the soundfont selection wasn't as robust on most consumer sound cards and the fact that the physics are a bit off.
There's a nice little interview with the creator of Mega Man for DOS. Despite the game's bad design choices, he's by no means a bad programmer. It's important to keep in mind the way PC graphics work. The game has to use the main CPU to draw each pixel one at a time. Unlike the NES and SNES which had specialized hardware to handle these tasks in parallel with the game logic.
Poor Rozner never wanted to make a bad game, yet he ended up doing just that. Rozner Labs also did a port of Mega Man X for DOS, and at least that one's a little more faithful to the original, on top of having a save feature and actual music.
it's pretty clear that you are having compatibility issues with the DOS games that is making them run way faster than it should... can't be sure if its the same case for these taiwanese games
8:40 it's a typing game where you can practice typing in English 注音 and 倉頡, the latter two being the Chinese inputs. And I think you need to tune down the speed of your emulator as those games were meant for single core pentium 2 or 3s, running it with modern hardware make the games hyper fast and unplayable. Not like the game was any fun at normal speed, though.
12:40 probably you have to navigate this moving thing to the exit . And the previous game is actually really fun. We played it on a paper back in a day.
There certainly were a lot of quizzes in the games you showed, it reminds me of the quiz trio in Megaman Legends 2, I remember attempting to get the 100 questions done and ended up not bothering after a couple attempts. It would suck even more with a language barrier, I can only imagine that there might be that one person whom did that only to receive something that they don't even know what it is due to it being in a foreign language.
To be honest, watching a video from a "gamer" that doesn't notice he's playing with THE WRONG GAME SPEED... makes me question myself what a "gamer" really is.
I like how many people are soo adamantly talking about the framerate errors on modern computers, however, I daresay seeing Mega Man run at 100 MPH like he started his day with a wholesome bowl of ten pounds of Crack Cocaine makes these games animate so comically, thus helping them to attempt to have a Tinge of Le Enjoyment Value!
You should have capped the FPS when playing Megaman Dos, the game was meant to run slower
Not only with Megaman dos but also with the other games
I was wondering why he was moving like he turned on the frame skipping on high lol

You may want to retry the PC titles with a frame rate limited set to 30 due to possibly lower in some of them
The TAS speed run of the megaman dos games are pretty funny. You can beat the entire game in 2 minutes

You forgot to lower framerate on DOS. It wasn't designed with modern computers in mind.

You were playing Ms-Dos Mega Man games at the wrong speed. You can speed up or slow down a Dosbox game by hitting Ctl + F11 or Ctrl +F12
Dreams have meanings

Nice new video
What is the name of the music track used at the end of the video?
It's the Calinca Shop theme from MegaMan Legends 2!
a problem with this video is that your way to quick to write the games off as bad and most of the problems you ran into seem to be emulator problems
So…….. I’m getting a tenguman figure in a few weeks
What the hell were the chinese thinking. I feel offended.
