Man that whistle is the best
Also heard about your surgery. I prayed for you. Get to feeling better!
That Is Shiny As Heck. I Nearly Yelled "WOAH" When I Saw This Chrome Engine.
Beautiful loco. Wow! Love it. Wishing you all the best in your recovery!
Love that badboy going over the bridge!! Awesome shot. 13:22

Love the quilling whistle on this Berkshire!
Very beautiful I'm glad you picked one up
Thank you Eric, awesome pictures. Great job.
Great engine and review Eric! I saw this engine behind the display case at my local hobby shop. Looks much better on your layout!
Beautiful locomotive Eric!
The models have different cowcatchers. This is based more on the Pere Marquette 1225, but other than that the engines are for the most part the same.
Great presentation. Glad your back.
I love this channel. Great video thanks. The 2-8-4 Berkshire is my favorite steam train wheel arrangement.
Hope that you feel better soon Eric.
That was a beautiful model

Gotta love that chrome! Keep the shiny side up as we say in the motorcycle world.
You nailed this review. Excellent video. I have one of these engines and I can easily vouch for you. It’s gorgeous.
Thank you Eric for the info. Great job with your scenery. Keep it going.
Looks amazing Eric!
I love your videos I always love your videos
VERY COOL, thank you Eric and Merry Christmas to you and your Family.....
Another great train! Keep up the good work!
Great review and beautiful engine Eric!
I love the Berkshire whistle 😢
Back in 2000, Lionel released a commemorative gold Hudson #1900 to celebrate Lionel's 100th anniversary.
I had the opportunity to Chase the NKP 765 this summer and the Whistle Lionel creating for the Berkshire is 100% spot on.
Very beautiful train Eric! I just started my own layout and you have given me a lot of inspiration as to what I want to do. I have a lionel boyscout steam engine, a Canadian Pacific diesel, as well as the lionel 2934 ERIE hobo set.
Very cool. The Lionel logo stands out nicely.
awesome review Eric.
Now how good can it get ....Aey ? Rich Melvin did a great job as Engineer , I think that is a real plus ! The engine itself is fantastic and nicely done . Thanks Eric for sharing . Jim
That’s when the best line of miles I seen on UA-cam in a long time did you have with the video
Absolute masterpiece !
Hay Eric! I saw one of these nifty locos up in Milwaukee wisconson! It's No. 115
8 years later, I finally got one for $925! Lionel sold 248 of the 250 made because Lionel retained no.1 and no.115 for their archive. I’ve got number 205.
Eric you have a big merry Christmas
Wow, that's awesome.
SHINEY!! Nice collectors item.
I love the Berkshire so much! Can you please do a review of the 1225?
Nice dude! I got one myself. I have number 83 out of the 250 made :)
"if you dont see this as the best feature, you might have to see your eye doctor" that roast
very cool
115s whistle is the berksheir 765s
awesome engine, Eric! are you going to run this engine often?
You should have run the engine with some of the anniversary box cars, but the passenger cars fit just as well. Great engine and great review!
just so that everyone knows, lionel didn't start making O gauge locomotives till 1915 so the 100 years that have passed it makes since that they would celebrate 100 years of lionel o gauge trains, not the "Changing of the gaurd" as eric said.
But the company has been around since 1900, hence the 115 year anniversary. And actually Joshua Lionel Cowen did make a display train around that time
Keith M yes I know the company was founded in 1900, but UNTIL 1915 they ONLY MADE standard gauge trains! And that desplay used to be made with standard gauge trains, untell the o gauge engines took off in the 1920s that's when they started to focus more on them.
So, what's your point? This model was to celebrate the company, not the gauge
+110658283249455672070 ok either your so naive or oblivious to the situation, if the engine was to celebrate the company, it would be made in 2000 to mark the 100th anniversary of lionel trains in general, but it was made in 2015 and over 100 years ago from 2015 AKA 1915 lionel started thire O gauge program by making models of the nyc electric locomotives so it would only make sense that this birkshire is honouring the o gauge line of lionel.
Well they did make a 100th anniversary locomotive in 2000, and this wouldn't mark the 1915 line of o gauge because then that would designate this as the 100th anniversary locomotive, not 115 as stated. This is meant to mark the 115th anniversary of the company of Lionel.
cool...that's different and collectable. .& may go up in value....
oh man that is epic
Wow that’s awesome…..
I really want that
AWESOME review and engine Eric!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man that bad boy looks and sounds great! Thanks for the video bro and I hope your operation recovery is going well! Have a great one bud!
+Bill Yates Thanks!
Good one. That looks cool
Agree.
Great job for the
Great review Eric! I love this engine. It is a shame I won't get one. It would be cool if they had Howard Hitchcock do the crewtalk for this train. How is your recovery going?
You got the one that they used in the photos on the website!
awesome review Broski!!! BTW 68th like!
Nice train
It should have 1225's sounds because it is based on the Pere Marquette N-1, but it has 765's sounds
pretty cool and this is my first comment on your videos
the whistle sounds like the 765's Whistle
It should be a Hudson type because the guy that founded Lionel’s favorite type of train was the Hudson!
You should run this alongside the 20th century limited.
9:20 "the waters full.." lol well I've worked on boilers most my life but never heard that one before.
Shouldn't it be the steam drum or sight glass is full ? Anyhow thanks for all your videos Eric, they are a great help. Damn, now I want to chrome my 239......
Bt .Snipe they’re saying the water is full in the tender
Try the blue comet train, I think that one is really cool
I wish I would have got one of these
Awesome video you should get original Lionel silver stream line train cars it wold go good with this engine
2016 will b Lionel LLC's 116th Year
Nice Engine Eric and Legacy Station is a awesome dealer , but $2000 may be a little to much at least for me.
I can see for the Big Boy. Nice review 1
1 word, DAMN
It's so shiny...
Wow! Imagine this next to the gold Hudson.
Or doublehead with the gold 1225
Hey Eric, another nicely done review. Just my own opinion, but I think an auxiliary water tender would have complimented the unit rather nicely. Question: You might have heard whereas Lionel would be coming out with an HO scale model of The Polar Express train as featured in the film "The Polar Express", my question is, do you plan to do a review of that train set? I know you don't review HO scale items under normal circumstances, but I've been wondering if you would make an exception this time around. Hope you're well.
theres only one thing im wondering in one of your previous videos about that upper loop you said you were gonna add a cross over to switch which way the train went on that level when are you gonna add that part in?
2015 is also O Gauge's 100th anniversary.
hey Eric can you do a review on the Lionel legacy polar express 10th anniversary please
Berkshire the Gleaming Engine
It should have all of the features. The ringing bell, the cylinder steam smoke effect. All that.
I'm guessing Lionel added the coal loading sound to their high-end steam engines ever since they did it with their Vision Line Big Boy.
Any word on when next year the Anniversary Box Cars are supposed to arrive?
¡Nice! :-)
this is actually the Pere Marquette, not Nickle Plate Road. Just wanted to point that out.
12:13 pull off is sick
wow the train sounds so real i bought the 6-31757 50 anniversary set never ran it yet do you have that set
They should actually do this like painting the NKP 765 completely silver or metallic like the CB&Q painted their 4-8-4 in a brass yellow and instead of nickel plate road on the tender it’s the Lionel 120th anniversary in 2020
A stunning locomotive. You need sun glasses to run it.
There's a brand of hobby paint called Alclad 2 which gives a finish like this. I'll bet they're doing something similar here. I'd be cautious, who knows how resilient that finish will be.
With the Boiler, Cab, Steam Cylinders, Cow Catcher, Trucks etc etc all being Die Cast Metal you can use normal chrome plating techniques (copper electoplate, nickel electroplate, chromium electroplate).
Has Atlas made an O scale model of the California Zephyr sleeper Silver Rapids?
I believe so
I live in NC :D
It sounds the same as nkp 765 btw I turned my American flyer polar express locomotive from a 2-8-4 to a 2-8-2 mikado type
i want to see a double header of the 765 and the 115th anniversary Berkshire
Hi Eric....We love your videos and we decided to pull our 115th Anniversary Berkshire out of mothballs.....We were pleasantly surprised to discover that we own #9 out of the 250 produced! Again, keep up the great work with the videos you post. You should become a salesman for Lionel, because you've helped us make more than a few acquisitions! Thanks for everything! In addition, my Dad has a story he would like to share with you about a F3 Wabash which was his first engine, and still his favorite of any Lionel Trains he has ever received. Is it okay if I send it to you? Thanks!
fancy
Did you know that there's a golden polar express?
Are there really only 115t of these? I went to trainworld and you can still buy them
Nice collectable but I am not a person who likes chrome. Still a nice unit.Scott
What is the curve radius on the bridge?
115's whistle is 765's.
Ooh, that's really nice. How much did it cost?
$2000
Can you get the Lionel Legacy Polar Express?
Imagine if the nkp 765 looked like that
looks like a repaint of the legacy o gauge polar express
Where at in North Carolina is the new head quarters?
+Jacob Owen Concord, which is outside of Charlotte.
