    One of the most underrated cars of all time.

    • @WatchDesigning

      Totally. I am buying a 2005 SLE with 128k miles but it needs a new top and I have no clue the cost to replace it.

    It's too bad Toyota stopped making these beautiful cars, I have a 2007 also and over 200K miles. I love this car. I would definitely buy a brand new one if they were available. Toyota, are you listening???

    I have a 2006 Solara convertible that is the same color inside, outside and top. I bought it in May of 2017 with 10,200 miles. Now (12/15/18) it has 14,400 miles. I love driving it and always with a smile.

    • @randallfrank5682
      @randallfrank5682 4 роки тому +3

      @@CC-ef7di I paid 10k for it in 2017. I am the 3rd owner. I know the first owner, soon after she bought the car she got pregnant and the baby and the car didn't go well together. The 2nd owner bought it for his wife and she didn't really like it much so it sat for a few years in storage. At this time 6/3/20 my Solara has 15,500 miles on the odometer. All owners live in Fairbanks, AK. All owners had another car or pickup for the cold winters.

      @@gangatalishis The engine is not rebuilt. The car had two owners before me who just hardly ever drove it. An understandable reason it that we all live in Fairbanks, Alaska.

    Although I am a Huge GM fan, I have to admit that Toyota made their cars very well and anyone who has had one knows that if you take care of them, they just last and never die. So much power in that V6. Such a Beautiful Car. If it was still for sale, I’d Buy it!!

      @@TeslaOptimusRobot no Toyota wanted 7000$ to put a new top on I thought that was crazy it is the price of the car. So I found a guy who does this professionally from his home garage and his other real garage took 2 weeks for it to come in and 3 hours to change total price 1500 cash! Best deal and no more stress 😆

    • @kimmarshall5423
      @kimmarshall5423 2 роки тому

      No they wanted 7000$ to replace it so I found a guy who does this for a living and he charged me 1500$ with removal and installation. The canvas roof is double layer with a life time garentee for the back window as the original roof leaked. This one is better as it it also sowed in. It was a good deal. Toyota dealership suck I saved so much not doing the replacement roof with them.

I kept the pt many years because it looked good and was fun. Sorry toyota. I drive a lexus sc430 now. I can afford one 18 years later.

    • @randymelendez9539

      sc430 if you care about going fast and having fun, solara if you just wanna cruise and have your family along for the ride.

    • @labornurse
      @labornurse 4 роки тому

      @Suman Bajgain I bought an sc not too long ago. There is virtually no backseat. At least for anyone with legs. Im not exaggerating. If you have an kids or friends you want to ride along, better offf with Solara for sure.

    • @labornurse
      @labornurse 4 роки тому

      @Suman Bajgain my 2002 sc has a much firmer suspension than the Solara I test drove. It is plush in that you don't feel every bump but there are jitters over uneven pavement at times. I test-drove a first generation Solara; they may have stiffened the springs up in later models. My car's steering is slightly heavy, heavier than my 2011 Highlanders (which is also Camry based) I don't think any little old grannies would enjoy my steering wheel because it is not effortless. As for looks, I get a lot of "beautiful car" comments and stares. Its bright red, though. And it is fast on takeoff, due to the v8. It can sure eat up interstate miles with no strain on engine at all.

    • @labornurse
      @labornurse 4 роки тому

      @Suman Bajgain have you looked at the Lexus IS convertibles? They made those until 2015, I think. Hardtop and bigger backseat.
