@@adrianlong9631building an engine means Replacing the Rods and pistons with forged pistons and rods Doing a sleeve job and some work on the heads (porting and valve adjustments) If you want to go deeper you can build the bottom end by Replacing the crank with forged crank or If you want to and so and so on thats just the basics theres plenty of more stuff that im not talking about likes Stroker kits to add or lower compression or do frankynsteins builds ...hopefully i was helpfull Since there was nobody to teach me
@@adrianlong9631 the stuff he is describing for a built engine is something you would want to do if you plan on running high boost and high hp. If you want to turbo your car but don’t plan on putting boost to it to make over 1000 you should be fine with a stock motor. Although it is risky cause there is always going to be risks. Lots of motors are capable of handling right about 1000 hp stock. For instance the LS.

If the factory valves in a 1991 GMC Syclone will not hold up under the additional heat generated by the turbo with the factory custom grind cam and the cast pistons will not take a detonation event more than two or three times when tuning in a nitrous kit.. Then what can I expect from a factory 3.2 caddy cts when adding a turbo without any type of fuel upgrades.. And or is there a chip or ecm upgrade to send a message to the fuel system to get with the program or shut down or what I think should be called a (fish or cut bait) program. But that’s what I just came up with on short notice, I’m sure I can find a better program title if needed..

Where’s the tubing from the turbo to the inter cooler, and from the inter cooler to the intake manifold ? 5. That piggyback unit for the ecm really isn’t a good way to go unless there are no factory ecm tuning options. As most piggyback systems are prone to failure and normally take the factory ecm out in the process. They also are not near as accurate as the factory ecm as all it is doing is sitting inline between the ecm and what is being controlled and just changing output voltages, or pulse length etc which can cause the factory ecm to try to correct if a sensor downstream senses something out and the factory ecm and piggyback end up fighting each other.

Get rid of one of the twins get something slightly larger and compound em? Quick spool up capability to make big power even with smaller units and helps keep drive pressures and EGTs in check I’d call it a win win
