as allays thanks for the videos! cool ep reminded me of a red capped man on a boat named calypso fond memories. swimmers ear never had the displeasure but with a family full of pilots and lifelong allergies i am well aware of the pain of pressure imbalance , my only advice dont dive or fly if you have any signs of congestion at all also nasal sprays will help .
As I have said in the past, thanks for the last 13 years of amazing footage from around the world and inviting us all to come along. This trip around will be even more amazing seeing it in 4k and in far more detail. Thanks to you both going the extra mile to show us all how beautiful it is. Also, thanks for making Erica and Warren's day. They have been all geeked out to see you both and spend some time with you. A few years ago I made a comment on one of their vids that they were approaching Delos quality. They gushed at the complement stating you guys are the GOAT of sailing channels and would one day love to meet you. Cheers for being such great inspirations and just amazingly cool to all you meet. Fair winds
Been scuba diving since 1968- all over the world. This was one of the best diving videos I’ve ever watched. Filming with that equipment in that current was an amazing feat.
As an old and former Dive Instructor, I have to say I was in total awe of the beauty and nature you witness first hand. In all my years of diving I have never experienced anything like that. Drift Diving is fun , but not for the faint of heart. Fantastic video that I will re-watch again and again to cure my diving fever. Thanks for a fantastic video.
Did we enjoy coming along on the adventure with you? Like crazy we did. This is one of your very best videos, and a brilliant piece of storytelling too. Well done to the editors, Jordan and Kazza. It's better when you can get away from the larger number of others crowded in an area, but given the amazing event you were witnessing - no complaints. It was bound to draw a crowd. Just Wow. And keeping an eye on Sierra's time as well; she's important and cannot be left out of your story.
As an experienced US Navy diver, I am in awe that you would do such a dive. I don't have the skills or knowledge to do what you did. Of course, my focus was on fixing equipment underwater, but your exposure to currents and preditors was on the extreme side. Congratulations on safe completion. Someday you should do a blog on how it is done safely. Any fool can strap on fins but it takes knowledge and skills to come back alive from an environment like that.
Every time I think you've blown me away with your Cousteau like visual story telling, you raise the bar! This week's episode with the Grupers and sharks was spectacular. You're incredible people; thanks for sharing your travels!
Episodes like this are why Brian is the Cpt of DELOS... and the Madagascar one w/ the sandbags... beyond... thx Captain. A Delos episode for the log book.... :)))).
Hello Delos. This episode was one of, if not THE BEST sailing adventure ever! Bravo for capturing the miracle of life (and death) cycle of these groupers! 👏
The BEST of all your videos “for the books”. Diving was my passion prior to loosing a lung lobe due to cancer. I would have been there with you and would have lived the excitement . Thank you for letting me feel that passion again, as if I was like I was with you on your dives. Amazing. Love you guys.
Haven't watched for years but used to be a religious watcher. The production value of these has gone through the roof. Impressive job. So glad you guys are still going strong.
Thank you so much! We put a lot of extra love into this one because we wanted to try and share how truly incredible it was, so we're really stoked you enjoyed it :)
The moment 4:58 began on that first dive with the reveal of the grouper, my 7-year old son's eyes filled with tears and he wispered "Mom, this is the most beautiful thing, I HAVE to see this someday!" 💙 Thanks for sharing this moment and so many others with us all.
Best video ever -true Delos style. Incredible story, photography, and kept it real. You are the best storytellers. I couldn’t get over how the groupers looked unreal -like CGI.
Absolutely amazing video! Everything from the storytelling, editing, authenticity and not the least the photography. 11 out of 10! 👏 UA-cam at its best.
Hahaha you are very welcome! We wanted to film a new one but we were like wait a sec, let's just let this one run its course one more time, such a good one 😂 😂 😂
Congrats on getting this amazing dive on video. I know how difficult it is just to do this kind of dive but to try and shoot it as well and capture nature at this rare moment-what a feat. Well Done Delos
Thanks so much Darrell! Oh mannn the night dive was so insane we were fully in survival mode 😂 We came back thinking omg did we get any good shots at all let alone capture the spawning itself...so we were pretty pumped with what we captured!
@@svdelos Night dives always always freak me out, not being able to see beyond the light beam into the vast black of night. I once had a freak encounter with a sea lion pup wanting to play at 60 ft down in the dark of night-not good.
I'm pretty sure I've watched every one of your videos. What's amazing is how your talents as videographers (especially underwater!), editors and overall storytellers has improved with every post. Well done Delos! Thank you so very much!
Loved this video so much! The sheer amount of diversity in fish and the amazing coral reef environment is mind-blowing. It's wonderful to see such a healthy, vibrant ecosystem.
Brian, you have such a special way with words and throw in some "funny" too. I thoroughly enjoyed your narration of the spawning. As usual, great video. Keep up the great work!!
Great episode, my health doesn't allow me to travel the world by sailing, but I can live my dreams one episode at a time with SV Delos. Fair winds From Charlie.
19:28 Oh my goodness guys! What an amazing series of Dives! Your underwater camera work is simply unsurpassed. I live for your dive videos. Keep up the good work... Often!!
Amazing! The shots of the groupers almost looked 3D; the depth perception was evident. I have dived with sharks before and it was very creepy. I don't need to do that again. Great story and beautiful video. Thanks for taking us along for the dive.
This is the most amazing video I have ever seen. Thank you for your brilliant work and for sharing your incredible life with us. You have gotten me through a huge recovery from major surgery and it has brought peace and serenity to my days which help with healing.
Proud of you Kazza. Super effort to soldier on with swimmers ear. My son suffers from that due to poor drainage in his ears & we use blutak (plasti tak) to block up ears when he’s diving or spear fishing. He had grommets in his ears when he was young. I frickin love Nugz. She doesn’t have any separation anxiety. I hope you realise how lucky you are to have such a balanced kid. Seeing her flat out zombified asleep on table had me chuckling. I hate early rises too Nugz. 😆👍🏽👍🏽
This was a scintillating fabulous episode! This was like going back to the good old days of true Delos travelling with a huge amount of incredible underwater footage combined with brilliant information and story telling. Great job guys!!!!
Whoaaa! That was epic!!! Thanks for bringing us along for that once in a lifetime chance to see the grouper spawning. Super Cool!! Thanks for another awesome episode, and as always safe travels, and have a blast!!! your friend Will
Simply amazing guys, awesome vid. Glad Kazza's ear is ok. Loved the old wrong throat beer vid from years gone by and Brady's voice in the back. Take care.
Brian and Karin, been watching for years and your diving videos are some of the best. As a diver myself for nearly forty years I know how it feels to be in a strong current in a channel (mainly from the atolls of the Maldives). It's not for the faint-hearted. That you managed to get such great footage too is fantastic. Well done indeed.
When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace.
That was truly incredible underwater footage! This was something I was totally unaware of. There is always more to learn about nature. That wall of sharks was simply crazy!
I'm sorry tp hear that for you, I'm not able to mess around in the ocean water to much, mainly just because of what you experiencing, in both ears. It comes with age, the change up in our human bodies, I haven't seen but four or five of you videos in the last several years. it's amazing to see the two of you still hard at it. I pray the Lord to bless you and yours. a good idea to stay out of the water for now.
absolutely incredible! thank you for sharing (another) once-in-a-lifetime experience. It truly is wonderful to be able to get a glimpse of such a rare occurrence. Thanks DELOS!! (also, I share in the sadness of no longer being able to use your theme song)
WOW! Stinking WOW!! I've been with you guys from the very early days. There are very few, IF any that top this! I'm absolutely blessed to have been taken along. Very very special footage! Jordan, with her wealth of dive and dive editing experience, certainly played into the final beauty of this episode. Thank you so much, Delos Crew!
