Palaeontologist here. Despite not working in human material much, you can get some information about the skeleton from the images. First, the individual was intentionally buried. If it had washed up and buried naturally in that environment, it would not likely be articulated (bones still in place). Which means they were buried on their side (possibly intentionally looking out to the ocean). Secondly, the teeth are worn fairly flat, which may indicate a coarse food source (seeds, nuts, etc. or fine grit in food), and less likely soft meet based diet. Third, the vertebrae are in good shape with little development of bone spicules, which indicates either very "easy" life (no repetitive heavy lifting, likely no major dietary issues, etc.), or they were younger when they died. Based on the visible bones, it's hard to guess the age. Sutures between bones in the skull are often used to determine the age of an individual at death if only a skeleton is found. Unfortunately, the sutures that are visible either only close in adolescence, or well into the 60-80 year range. That said, based on the skull size compared to you hand, I would hazard (very unreliable btw) late teens or a small female individual. As for the bleaching of the bones, that's due to the sun. Even dinosaur bones will eventually bleach in the sun, so the whiteness of the bone won't tell you much. What may tell you something though are the roots that are seen growing out around and below the skeleton. After burial it would take some time for the sand to be recolonized by plants. There is little to no soil, so this may take some time. Then for roots to penetrate that deeply into the sand could take a fair amount of time, especially considering it looks like only short grasses are on the hill. Interestingly, the head is slightly crooked indicating the hole was relatively small compared to the size of the individual, unless they intentionally wanted the head raised slightly. And there does not appear to be any personal items with the skeleton. Although personal items could have rotted away, metal, bone, stone, or other hard items would remain. So, what hypothesis does this evidence indicate? Personally, based on the possible young-ish age, lack of preserved personal items, position in the ground, and lack of any bone spicules, I would hypothesize that the individual is a younger member of a local population from several hundred years ago that may have been a fisherman or loved the sea for some other reason (based on being buried facing the ocean). I hope you may hear further from any archaeological group that may go and investigate the site, if you do, please share!
Fair analysis, but it assumes the human was buried alone. It is possible that additional skeletons may be found further inland and/or have already been washed into Davy Jones’ Locker.
Hey you guys. Your channel gets my vote for one of the most positive and interesting on UA-cam along with ItchyBoots. Love the positivity that you generate, puts me in a good mood for the day.
From the video it looks like an excellent set of teeth, no visible cavities even in the back molars. It was someone who was raised with a good diet, his mother probably also had a good diet. Very straight, strong teeth.
Your channel is one of the very few in which I hit the like button before the video even starts. Thank you for entertaining us and sharing your journey. God bless.
Hi Kazza, Brian, Mormor, and our darling Sierra- oh I love Mantas! I love dolphins also but i was able to once interact with Mantas. They’re such friendly creatures. IMO. This place you’ve found is so beautiful. The food looked yummy. Mormor is so active! I love how Kazza and Mormor were able to see the Mantas so closely. One can sure tell they are Mother and Daughter. So happy for Sierra also getting to spend time with her Grandmother. Thank you Delos for another great video- a great way to start my Fridays, watching you. Very curious about the skeleton! I’m almost finished watching so I’m thinking it’s an unsolved mystery? Thanks again Brian and family! Love you all but Sierra is still the darling of the crew. 😊 Oh! One last thing: I’m thankful that you found some calm water to stay in for a bit and get some good sleep and not feel yucky.
How ironic that just as you started working on a Mantus chain system, mantas just happen to appear beside the boat. I do not speak French, but seeing Mormor snorkeling immediately made me think of the saying “joie de vivre”. A lust or zest for life I believe it means. It certainly describes her well. Happy sailing!
I Love it when your Mom comes to visit. Seeing her interact with Sierra just makes me smile and I can see it in Kazza's face how much more she is relaxed having her there. Your life style is amazing , however you do pay a price for it. So happy she came and is experiencing new things with all of you.🥰
Your story telling skill, knowledge, persistence, sailing experience, work ethic, authenticity, lack of pretentiousness and decadence, makes me appreciate your site better than any other. Thank you so much for sharing with this land lubber albeit ocean shore underwater swimmer from Vancouver, B.C. ! i hope to explore the underwater world more this summer with a free diver who i know!

Stainless in wet environment has "crevice corrosion", and threads are ideal place for that. Teflon prevents the two parts contacting over a larger area with that minute crevice between them so they just don't size up. I have seen such corrosion, it was easier to bream the parts than to loosen the thread.
@17:50 Brian, some people drill holes through the "brim" of the thermostat so that there'll always be some water flow no matter what. The engine will warm up a bit slower but that's the only side effect I can think of.
Yeah, I had a thermostat fail on me in a 4WD way out in the bush many years ago. Wound up removing the Thermostat and bingo. Engine took longer to reach working temp but at least it stopped overheating. Contrary to popular believe, the engin did not stay "Too Cold". Old Diesel - 75 series LandCruiser with 1HZ engine. Never did wind up replacing it, and I still have that Vehicle.
Lots of thermostats have what I call “jiggle valves” that let the air get past the thermostat when it’s closed. Only caveat with those is they should be oriented at the top of the thermostat or flow is horizontal, if the flow is vertical it doesn’t matter. If there is no valve a single small hole drilled will do the trick to help get the air out of the system on that first cycle. Cheers

Great episode guys!! So happy Mormor got to see all the Mantas. I'm 66 in South Carolina, USA and have always wanted to swim with Mantas. Got to experience it what it was like thru Mormor's eyes and made me really smile. Did you happen to check to see if there was any dental work on the skeleton? Teeth looked awfully good on the shots I could see. Thats a pretty good indicator of the persons age and how long they had been there.
I just watched Episode 236, where you introduced Patreon. I think it worked. I, for one, am glad it did. (Can Sierra get any cuter?) It won't be too long, Brian, when you'll be looking for blunt objects to keep unworthy suitors from sniffing too closely.
Brian - temporarily leave the wax stat out of the loop for a test. Can I suggest you have either reversed the stat - bulb should face the heat - also I would expect a small bypass hole that has to be placed uppermost to allow air to vent through and prevent a build up of air insulating the bulb side from the heat- also i am guessing that some of those valves should also open when there is a pressure demand - happy fault finding.
@19:00. Sounds like blockage in the 'anti-syphon loop' on the exhaust salt water side. I know you well enough (through watching this channel for years) to know you would have thought of that and as no engine exhaust goes through that I would say that you just need to rig a flexible pipe to replicate the path (or loop) and replace when your next in a place you get get the proper part. Maybe you can clear that anti-syphon loop by ramming a flexible "pipe cleaner" through it, Maybe after soaking it in Barnacle Buster if you find a blockage you can't move. I would not expect to find too much growth on the hot side unless its been left in the water for some time without using the genset. Just thought of something. Check the salt water pump. If the external flow rate is lower with the anti-syphon loop than with your bypass and your anti-syphon path is clear, then it could be a decrease in efficiency of the pump. ie It's worn but can push enough water to flow enough through the lower height or larger size of your bypass but not enough pressure to flow past the full height of the OEM anti-syphon part. Just a thought and I could be way off base. All the best.
Now that's one hell of an experience right there especially for the baby and as a family as a whole how many people can actually say they've done this❤ another wild moment for me thank you
Something always makes me laugh here, an/or creates endearment. This time me unable to watch the 17:07 mark with Kazza's reactions on boiling of the thermostat. Thanks for sharing folks, God Bless, hugs and love all round🙏🏻⛵🐬, Smee😉🚴🏻♂

Teeth looked awfully good on the shots I could see. Thats a pretty good indicator of the persons age and how long they had been there.
No we didnt check! That would have been a good indicator.
I sense a familiar feeling in this episode, very similar to when I started watching when you were in Madagascar keep it up this was an amazing episode
the teflon tape was to prevent the parts from corroding and bonding together. Always amazing to watch your repair work!
I just watched Episode 236, where you introduced Patreon. I think it worked. I, for one, am glad it did. (Can Sierra get any cuter?) It won't be too long, Brian, when you'll be looking for blunt objects to keep unworthy suitors from sniffing too closely.
Czech! Should have followed this path when I was a younger man, I've regretted my failure ever since!
Thank you guys for another awesome and beautiful video. So great to see Mormor, too. She is amazing!
Thanks for yet another great video. Love Nugget.
Wow what a find. Beautiful area. Mormor is such a blessing, I am a grandma and I relate to her. Amazing 😍
Your a wonderful family….safe sailing
Health for everyone….and health for the everyone in this whole
Such a pleasure to still be seeing all this stuff. Thanks so much for everything you do. It's a joy!
