Spot on. There’s a saying, “some people are so poor, all they have is money”

    • @e11esounds

👌🏽 If one hasn’t worked on one’s and honed a philosophy beyond just accruing money as their daily life then money is one of the most addictive substances on the planet. There’ve been studies showing a correlation between loss of values, qualify of life and empathy to wealth increasing beyond what is needed.

A lot of people don’t have that much. Just enough money to get decent medical treatment can make all the difference to how a life may be lived.

    • @e11esounds
      @e11esounds 5 місяців тому +2

@@ladybooksmith3347 of course. The majority. That’s the problem, a small minority have obscene amounts of wealth and gain power to influence or lead over us with that wealth. While the majority are not getting even their most basic needs met - and cannot put the wisdom they have or values they hold into full practise as they are traumatised, tormented, oppressed or simply working so much they have no life or time left for contemplation or growth for the greater good. The wisest people are those who are often have suffered usually. Not always but there’s a reason why cultures that produce some of the most valuable contributions to world art, music are those have had to build resilience and stoicism in the face of oppression. We have it twisted. The poor, the disabled, the ill, the outcasted, the minorities that haven’t had privilege should be our leaders.

Normally we dread possible futures for social reasons, it's evasion of potential shame. I memorised my favourite Aurelius quote: "Or is it your reputation that's bothering you? But see how quickly we are all forgotten! The emptiness of those applauding hands." So we typically deflect agency onto imagined other people, who don't know either, let alone for us. Approval of people who can never really know you means nothing.

Feelings are not facts. Often misused to dismiss people but actually true. We can think of various terrible things, like becoming a serial killer, but that doesn't mean we should worry about it. Like don't think of pink elephants, the mind doesn't like negatives. It's tenacious.

The highest goods are within us! And no one can take that from us. No one can stop me from being kind! They for sure could try to influence me, but if my conscience accepts that no one have that kind of power over me, then I'm finally free. I see that every video contains a different message, but remais inside the same principles. Most of us tend to see freedom as a dollar sign, but actually that is just another prison in disguise. It's best if we free ourselves from our mental prisons (anxiety, fear, guilt, greed...), then we can finally go after what really makes us happy, and for me, that is having peace of mind. Peace be upon you friend, you are the kind of influence we need right now. Greetings from Brazil!

I once had a neighbor who was cutting down a healthy 11 year old tree,
because the leaves fell on to his new truck. I was horrified,
and went over to the tree with my wooden walking stick
and asked the tree spirits to jump into it (kodama)
and I took the tree spirits over to my tree, where it now lives.
I now have a tree I visit at the pond,
and he said his name is Daryl. I go and touch him, talk to him,
hug him, and sometimes kiss him.
The tree in front of my home said her name is Cassandra.
I had an acquaintance who on plant medicine, could have hours of conversation
with the trees. She said that they know the entire history of the earth.
I believe it, because all trees can communicate with all trees,
because of the mycelium underneath them in the dirt,
which are the transmission highways. There is a book on this.

I think that apart from asking ourselves "what is upsetting me in this very moment" the opposite question should be asked and treated in similar way as well: "what is making me happy/calm in this very moment". This is a "silent" and missed area that seem to be overlooked. Got a promotion, graduated from school, passed an exam; all in the past. Meeting friends this weekend, going abroad next month, travelling to another continent towards end of this year; all in the future. All of the above are what mind considers good or happy...what mind is also clinging to. This in turn takes us away from the present moment, which in my opinion is the optimal place for happiness. I'm not religious but Jesus said to live in the world but not of the world, meaning to take action and participate in the daily affairs of life but not to cling to the outcome of it all, good or bad.
Apologies for any grammar mistakes as I'm not a native speaker. Hope my thoughts are understandable. Much love.

One problem I still haven’t managed to overcome is that, even though I accept things and understand the need for suffering and obstacles as a way to shape my character, I still hate the pain. I’m 100% averse to suffering in the moment I’m experiencing it. If I have to wait in line, I completely surrender to the boredom, but this doesn’t take the boredom away from me. And the moment of pain is the most difficult thing for me to deal with. I use the terms “pain” and “suffering” as expressions of general discomfort, but sometimes even the smallest inconvenience in my life makes me literally suffer-a person that disrupts my routine, a shop that closes when I expected it to be open, or any physical pain. I do understand the true nature of these situations as illusions, as being completely unreal outside of my own mind, but I still find myself fighting the urge to relieve them, to get rid of the suffering, and that’s the worst part for me. I joke with my wife that I would prefer to cut my own finger once than deal with some smaller inconvenience for a year. I still haven’t found a way to solve this about myself, but maybe your videos will help me!

It was worth it for me long term but painful short term since I don’t like money and didn’t want to be put in a position to fight for it. It’s a major spiritual conflict that I’m still struggling to reconcile as I tie up all the loose ends from greedy lawyers and disability insurance carrier egregious and intentional mistakes. There’s no solution to this issue much bigger than me from systems I have to rely on to stay alive. Often times I’d rather give up entirely.

Thank you for creating this video. I really needed to hear these words at the moment. I am finding that I'm also ashamed of the answer to the question about what is really upsetting me at this very moment but I am glad that after watching this, I've finally found my answer. Having the answer to the problem makes the problem much easier to solve. So, thank you once again. Wish you a happy life!

You quote stoicism so much, to me its like agnosticism. My belief in God or crossing over from human struggles to heaven is woeful , my hope is that it liberating because life has so many seduction and trickery to be sad and exhausted.😊

I recommend Eckhart Tolle's book "the power of now" for a deeper understanding of this concept. That book and the practice meditation changed my life in a profound way.

    I pray life and joy,
    and complete provision
    and hope over your life.
    I pray good friends,
people who are interested in you, wanting to do life with you,
someone who loves you, cherishes you, to enter your life, and to stay.
I pray you heal and let your defenses down
and that you treat others, and yourself: with kindness
and that you become full of life:
    to do exciting things
and that even the mundane things
    give you life-nourishing happiness.
    In Yeshua's name, I pray.

One thing there is hard for me to digest nowadays, with this omni presence of information and news, is the concept that I am objectively harming someone somewhere, by just existing in a given country and being part in a consumerism pattern, which is intrinsically against my core values of justice, fairness and not being a hypocrite. Global vs communal impact realy takes a toll on my soul.

we are the universe experiencing itself.
The very essence of your being is inherently multidimensional, however your conscious awareness has been conditioned to navigate this human experience inside a 3d mind-prison where you have the illusion of separation.
we are a multidimensional infite consciousness incarnated in a physical body ie. you are the universe experiencing itself.
we don’t die because energy is consciousness, and everything that exists is energy, thus it can only transform into another expression of itself.
your mission is to remember that you are not your physical body, but an eternal consciousness giving a life to the vessel.❤

    See the highest good: virtue.
Understand how you act in accordance with virtue.
Once you started to act with virtue, you have grasped the highest good. Don't let it fade...
Now pursue whatever you want in material world that is in alignment with highest good or the other way around (you'll only pursue then what is in alignment with highest good).
