Action towards what though? I’m kind to people when given the opportunity, I call out injustice when I get the opportunity, I do more than most in my position. Sure I’m not really taking actions towards like getting rich but idrc about that. I’m not obligated to do anything for anyone, there’s nothing wrong with living for myself, and yet I still care for others, enough that I’m one of the few really honest people I know. I know I CAN do more, and I likely will as I continue to grow. I’m only 24, I do believe that there is such a thing as the right moment. Yes I do procrastinate on some things more than I probably should, but I’m continuing to get better at that and I accomplish all the things I NEED to. I get this video is supposed to be for the purpose of motivating people but I think it also comes across as a tad judgemental. I don’t owe anyone anything, if anything most people owe me an apology for their disgusting behavior

He is literally telling everyone what they should and should not care about. That is the least humble thing anyone could ever do. Fancy words and lack of them have nothing to do with humility. Marcus Aurelias did not speak English, you can find translations of his meditations that have all kinds of "complex vocabulary". The translator determines the words not the author.
"I don't know about the next time. This one time, I'm saying no." - this is so calming. The pain in the present moment is all I'll ever have to endure because it's all I can ever experience. The future remains uncertain and the past is unreachable. Thank you, I think you just changed my life.
I always find it fascinating that, despite all the technological developments like electricity and, more recently, AI, thoughts from 2000 years ago are still just as valid and useful as they were when they were written.
Life is new for everyone and technology will never make life as such better or safe humanity in any way. I find it hard to apply tipps of a Roman emperor in my commoner life. People not able to change anything doing what a Roman emperor said…😂😂😂😂😂…kind of really dumbed down slaves trying to be dumbed down stoic slaves.

A friend of mine sent me the book meditations while i was in jail last year. Wild, for the past few days I’ve been feeling like I’ve allowed myself to relax in various areas of life when I know more action should be taken. You’re absolutely right, it takes just a shift in mindset to look at something that as a whole seems insurmountable and to break it down into the small task of doing what you can this moment. Good reminder 👍 Seems like common sense but common sense isn’t really all that common, is it 😅
Words are like seeds of thought - you make the most of the present, a guidance to help others become better. When even one person strives, everyone you touch upon, will improve and today, becomes vastly better than yesterday. An eloquent thought for today, as Spring arrives, what will flower, what will bloom…
Hi 👋 I wanted to thank you a lot, you've helped me with my constant anxiety. I would run from situations and people, lie on my resume and in interviews, make up extra details telling a story to impress a potential partner, etc. It never dawned on me that this is unnatural. I always thought I was a straightforward person. In reality my actions didn't reflect this at all. This video and your explanation of the quote, brought me tremendous clarity and comfort, to know that all it takes is acting like my ideal self in this present moment and that every other point in time contributes nothing but unnecessary agony to my mind. You're truly awesome and a gift to the UA-cam community.
I think out of all your advice, this is the one I struggle with most. I do have my "excuses." But excuses are pointless. Ultimately, postponing yourself only hurts yourself. I don't want to hurt myself anymore...
that's a great quote and video. I have been feeling that in the last weeks, that my work has to be done every waking moment. And that I had all the tools I needed, that I studied long enough to know there was no deeper work than choosing my emotions every single moment of awareness I can grasp, especially going through a normal day with work, activities and people.
Thank you so much for what you do brother , this really resonated me on a deep level as i find myself in this very struggle right now . I heard a quote a couple of years ago that was attributed to Abraham Lincoln , it said , " Discipline is choosing between what you want now , and what you want most " i think it kind of sums up everything you said in this video . Thanks again , i appreciate what you do
In the next three months, my whole life will be completely different as I will be moving to a foreign country for higher education. As someone who is extremely introverted and socially anxious, I am really nervous about the idea of living alone without my family and their support. I have been anxious all the time and its causing me a lot of stress. Hearing you emphasize the importance of living in the present and taking actions according to the moment eased a lot of tension in me. I am letting go the tensions of the future and burdens of the past. What matters in this singular present and the actions I take here. Thank you so much for this comfort
@@crossingtheline4372 Thank you for your message. I'll definitely take your advice and make the most of my time there!! I'm really excited for this new chapter of my life :)
Inspires us to become better you said, integrity is developed, after all. But we should always strive to be better. It’s a never ending nonlinear path. Circling around itself.
That was really helpful, and I realized that there's no such thing called procrastination or discpline (yes, I know we need discipline to continue every TODAY) but if we just focus on the now, all of our problems will be resolved.
Hey! I keep dealing with a romantic situation that literally cause me suffering and despair. I keep choosing it over and over and today I said no more for the last time. And I found your video validating that for me. 20 seconds of insane courage coupled with your words. I know that I be and be WITH the person I truly desire❤
...this is just what I need. I wanted to be put in my place. Not in the sense that I'm told "shut up and take what you're given". But in the sense that I always panic my way through everything, screaming is normal to me, anger is just sadness that has been agitated to the point I can't accept it. Also, I keep fucking running in circles, like a crippled horse. I'm not learning how to deal with everything and I need to force my hand to not get it cut off. Do or die. Life or death. The only way out is through so I have to go. And I'm always afraid, so fuck it, I'll do it scared. And just keep going until I get it, failure will tell me "try something different or to do it again" because it could be a matter of **time** , that something will break under my grip. So, keep holding on for it to break, and my hands bleed - to have what I want and what I need. I will be successful, no matter what, when I am on the edge of killing the version of me I believed I was. There will always be a sacrifice. Thank you for this reminder.
Wise words, thank you for sharing. In the last year I have finally incorporated "now" or started doing it more than I have and as much as possible and yes, I am more the person I have always wanted to be. At 65. Better than ever.

This is incredible! Life-changing video for me imo. Only now matters..astonishing..thank you man
That was really helpful, and I realized that there's no such thing called procrastination or discpline (yes, I know we need discipline to continue every TODAY) but if we just focus on the now, all of our problems will be resolved.
Hey! I keep dealing with a romantic situation that literally cause me suffering and despair. I keep choosing it over and over and today I said no more for the last time. And I found your video validating that for me. 20 seconds of insane courage coupled with your words. I know that I be and be WITH the person I truly desire❤
Thank you, this video added value for me tonight.
So beautifully put . Best channel ever
Another way to say this: "Whether it be starting or stopping, it will never be easier than right now."
...this is just what I need.
Thank you. This message is constructive and appreciated. 🙏
