    Hey ya'll!! Thanks for checking in with me and committing to IMPROVING your game! I wanted to quickly add the rep range back on here just so there's no confusion!
    4 Sets of 8 Reps
    8 Reps With Medicine ball followed by 30-45 second rest + 1-2 Reps WITHOUT Med ball = 1 Rep.
    I suggest doing 2 sets leading with your right foot and 2 sets leading with your left foot. That way you are practicing both approaches however if you want to master one side to start, you can do that as well.
    Enjoy, work hard and keep training in the dark, so you can shine in the light!

    I am 198cm 20 yo and I unfortunately took a break from ball when i was 16, that was after having a bad season with a toxic team and coach vibe going around. I only started playing ball again this year, which was mostly cancelled due to cvid. Back then I was around 180 probably and I was able to barely hit the rim. Starting this season I could not even hit the rim.. I was just short, though grown 20cm I reach less high.... :( Now I am able to get my fingertip about 3cm above the rim so at least I have bettered 16 year old me. (Note i have never trained or worked on my jumps ever)
    I will start working with these exercises. Maximizing my 3 step, even if just a bit, should definitely give me a some extra centimetres even if I wouldn't train my muscles. I will check back in here when I notice significant progress, and maybe even drop a dunk.

      @@sairan1364 doing okay, i can hit the rim with more ease, i can get my fingers fully above them now and was able to dunk a tennisball, i will keep working on my jumptechnique and just jump a lot and work my way to that first dunk 💪

    really like this series. i coach gymnastics and have been researching different ways to help my team kids create more explosion in their tumbling. there are a few who just really struggle. found your vids during my research and subbed. i have previously incorporated soccer and bball into front tumbling (in bound pass, or that over head throw in soccer(futbol) for the take off, and track and field and baseball for teaching kids their vault runs. what better athletic movement to use to teach explosiveness than the dunk in bball! so tysm! your explanation is thorough and easy to follow for someone like me with a totally different objective

    I'm 5'7 16yr and can touch the rim with the tip of my finger. never done any sort of plyometrics or leg workout, I don't even know how to jump properly yet in order to bring forth my full force, so hopefully soon i'll be able to dunk.

      @zeyy84 3 роки тому +1

      Yes, always. People often mistake the ball of the foot to be the behind part(the heel). The ball of the foot is actually the joint directly next to the toes

    Can I subsitute the med ball for a basketball?

    • @itsksultan
      @itsksultan  2 роки тому

      You can because it helps with your approach but weight adds resistance to that approach which means your legs have to work harder at being quick. With basketball will still help you, with med ball it’ll help you even more

    Yo man! How many leg day workouts should i do whilst still having basketball practices and doing skill workouts? I dont want to overtrain my body (cause i get lower back pains).
    Should i still use plyos or only focus on excercises that are more easy on the body?

    • @user-sz1vt9gv1k
      @user-sz1vt9gv1k 3 роки тому

      I’d say workout the legs 2 or 3 times a week and do plyos about the same (personally i do my plyo on the same day as legs). for the back, try some stretches, i do full body stretches when i wake up, before workout or practice and before i go to bed. one i find is good for the lower back when i had problems with it was sitting on the ground with your legs in a v shape in front, place right hand on hip and left hand on right knee then twist right and hold for 5 breaths, then do it on the other side and repeat them both! good luck bro
