- How to dunk under 6 feet tall? In this video I (Khurram Sultan) give my 3 tips on what to focus on before you start your vertical jump training!
Being able to dunk at 5"10 was something that was very challenging and took a lot of effort and time! I used to search up how to dunk under 6 feet tall and would somewhat be left confused on where to start and what to focus on! Hopefully with this video you have some clarity and find some value!
Let me know your thoughts in the comments! I'm currently fasting during Ramadan and have been spending my free time making video's from 12am-3am!
On the road to 10k! Help me out by sharing this video and helping it get seen!

Any tips bro I’m the same height
That second tip is very important, I've had tons of reps whenever practicing explosive exercises and it started feeling like it just made my vertical a little lower. this answered it, thank you!
Glad it helped, and glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for the Support and taking the time to let me know🙏
yes because your muscle is exhausted.. but check again whenever you regain your recovery it will twice your jump on every reps of leg exercise you do
Sorry my English is bad. Do you mean that one should limit the amount of reps and exercises to get results say doing plyometric exercises like depth jumps. So like 3 to 4 exercises and same amount of reps right?

1/ Lose weight
2/ Train more for explosiveness, less for endurance
3/ Focus on 'triple extension' - hips, knees, ankles. Improve any weak areas in any of those and develop strength and speed.
Pretty much common sense.

Thank you for taking my question. I enjoy your work and was hoping you might be willing to offer guidance from your perspective. I am 51. My desire is to improve my vertical jump. I am a 6’6” dunker/hooper who has been grounded due to weight gain and knee pain. My knee pain has decreased considerably, but I feel like I’m back in 9th grade trying to dunk happy to slap the glass. How often would you recommend I train legs? What kinds of exercises and frequency? I have been training with deadlifts and calves at least twice a week.
If you've done lots of training in your lifetime, I encourage you do lighter weight and full Range of motion squats. That's amazing that you're still going strong at 51! Hope to be like you as I grow
@@itsksultan
Hey late. I know and know disrespect, I'm just a nobody on this amazing platform nameth the world wide web. My question if you see this though is why seek guidance from him and not a doctor? Which I'm assuming you have since you know you have said problem and you said you're grounded. If it wasn't a surgical problem, you know take your preventative measures and work with the physical therapist(yeah I know-i don't care much for em either) but in some situations they are very useful. Like I said I mean no disrespect. Our bodies, there are temples and we got to preserve them. There's some really advanced treatments/modalities that can help and improve pain, functionality/ROM etc.....even repair(that aren't surgical)& really I guess what I'm saying is reflect n' match with how you feel on the inside. Like that 9th grade high schooler, ready to go out there and bang on some rims and sink some shots man. And again, I mean no disrespect, no tramping on toes and getting in your business. So if out of line; my apologies and all the best.
Check out Kneesovertoesguy on UA-cam, he’s got a masterclass on athleticism and longevity. I’ve been meaning to start his program but I’ve been busy with school and work. Hi! Appreciate your vid! I am 14 yo and 6'1 and have a 26 inch vertical. It feels amazing because before i could barely get my feet off the ground. But now I feel like I can't improve this. Any tips?
You need to start lifting heavier, if you don't have weights to lift with then try pausing at the bottom of your reps then explode to gain some more explosiveness. Assuming you don't have weights and you have a backpack you can put as many textbooks in your backpack as you can, then tighten the straps a bit so it doesn't move around a lot when you have it on, then do lunge variations with it on. This will help you a lot if you don't already have weights. Try to do legs around two days a week and always stretch beforehand. Remember you wanna be exploding, so if you can do pause reps with the backpack on then do it, if not then just keep working out until you can pause it eventually, you'll start to jump higher.
@@XENOX-777 as you read, he is 14 years old. You suggested him to start weight lifting but all the trainers in my team say that weight lifting before 18 years old reduces height gain which sucks
@@gpetrakhs Do not believe them, you can weight lift at ANY AGE
@@gpetrakhs Do some research this is not true at all
@@gpetrakhs They are not good trainers if they really believe that, you may not wanna believe me because they are apart of your team, but just know that your height being reduced by working out is a complete myth.

RIP to a Legend!!! He was fun to watch
how would u recommend loosing the body fat to help u carry less weight
eat in a calorie deficit, you can use an app like myfitnesspal to track your calories and see how many youll need to eat in a day, for me, im 6'2 and 165lbs, to lose 1lbs a week i need to eat only 1800 calories in a day, but i can eat more if i do exercise too, so if i do an hour of walking and half an hour o running i could probably eat like 2300-2500 in a day, and id still lose weight at the same rate
Do what Mtg Might said. Also, a helpful tip is to cut out juice, soda, and alcohol - drink only water. You’ll be surprised how many calories come from drinks alone.
Khristian Kim facts drinks are just empty calories that are easy to take, also don’t eat food that doesn’t get you fill like potato chips you can eat tons of those and they give so many calories.
can't help bro I'm 6'3 and 170lbs with 5% body fat lmao been trying to gain more weight and muscle
Hieratus doubt ur 5 percent nba players aren’t even 5 and they train and live healthy. Also body builders are usually that level once they in competition and they can see each individual muscle strand at that level

Hey how are the results so far?
Overworking. Try 2-3 times a week cuz muscles need recovery time
How r the results so far
abu sedut yo what’s up i was lowkey On the same workout routine as you that i made... i did it for 1 month and a half and I’ve gotten VERY explosive and my vert has increased... BUT i stopped weights training for this month to solely do plyos and speed work... jumping everyday will increase your vert faster than doing lunges.. jump squats box jumps, pogo jumps depth jumps will increase your vert. Look at ja morant for example he did. Hella jumps a day
Stupid dont do legs everyday weights is just extra spend your time doing light jump and yeah plyo
