So after hearing one of my favorite songs of the past two decades ,Blue on Black, thought I’d see what else KWS did, and found this concert. Damn, what I’ve been missing. Love this band!
I saw them live at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano. One of the best shows I've ever seen! They rocked down that house!
Truly appreciate those responsible for posting this 🙏 I've been a fan of KWS ever since I seen him play in New Orleans back in the 80's. Dude and his music has only gotten better. Thanks very much and be safe.
They remind me of. 38 special other southern rockers...saw them years ago. ❤️ them!
He wasn't around in the 80s you are a liar. He came out in 1995 when he was 17 😂🤦♂️🤡
Another great blues guitarist-right up there with Stevie Rae Vaughn,Gary Moore, Walter Trout, and Joe Bonamassa.Keeping the blues alive.
👍👍👍!
HOLY SHIT, WHAT DID I JUST STUMBLE UPON!! WOW.
I saw them last night for the first time minus the horn section. Amazing. More Kenny and keyboards than this video so even better. Just over two hours.
30 Years Ive been following
Kenny Wayne !!! My favorite Band -AWAYS
YES IT HAS ONLY GOTTEN BETTER AND WILL CONTINUE !!!
He is the Ultimate Guitar Player
Best Band Ever
Noah _omg what a voice
And I’ve loved that Kenny Wayne sings too
Great Rock n Roll. ❤❤❤❤
I don't get how anyone can thumbs down this. 97 dweebs did. Very tight, yet very powerful. Great band, great performance. Great guitar.
I want to ask them why. I bet the reasons would be interesting. ✌️
Because it's not taylor swift!!!😂😂😂
..I think the answer is maybe..............there just always has to be those 'lonely, miserable people'...??
Kenny Wayne is So Amazing, he is the only one I believe can play the Blues closest to The Best blues man ever (SRV.)..Major Props to Kenny for striving for greatness, nice to see him start singing more....Huge fan of the Band too..
Agree - Nothing to add.
I was fortunate enough to open up for this band In 2009 in Rothbury Michigan what an honor and a pleasure it was I've followed Kenny Wayne for a long time and hes gotten progressively better every time I see him love these guys rock on
Lucky! I'm jealous in white...
One of the BEST now days!!!
Not to be redundant, this guy is as good as anybody out there...he has gotten better and better. Shout out to NOAH HUNT AND THE REST OF THAT GREAT BAND.
I've never heard of Kenny Wayne Shepherd before, but when you see Chris Layton on drums.
Well, then you know it gonna be good.
Johnny allidey
So true.... I've also seen him playing with Reese Waynans on keyboards. However, no Tommy Shannon.
I came from the other way: love Kenny, I am a guitarist myself (not this league:D) but the drummer got my attention in this video.. crazy tempo.
Chris Layton always solid AF!
I thought exactly the same!!!!
Kenny Wayne, Noah Hunt,, Cris Layton.. years and years being together.. SRV is smiling while he hears this band.
Soz...probably laughing...it’s like an impersonation tribute band...like the Elvis lot! Yes K is technically good but please let’s get real...no matter how much people want to see k as carrying on his torch....he’s playing at it, no disrespect to kennys playing ...it’s sometimes a tad ridiculous. I really tried to like him but he bores me. The long haired guy, Noah is just weird ....looks uncomfortable a lot of the time then K goes into his fake ‘channelling’ mode, mouth gaping, eyes closed like Stevie but it doesn’t ring true...he’s still there acting the part...an now the hat!!! Omg he’ll be doing Stevies hunched shuffle next....think poor Chris is looking to capture the glory days of Double Trouble but it just isn’t. K was lucky to get him. Last concert I also noticed K shouting at the end of a song “thankyou very much” EXACTLY in the same intonation as Stevie, pretty sad. But he’s popular...good luck to him but KWS...IS NOT SRV, It’s KennyWants to be Stevie....even using his 3 initials...why!!? Stevie admired Hendrix but never called himself Vaughan & dress/act like him....he developed his own very distinct style while paying homage to him & others, Kenny is trying to be Stevie...rock on K 🤤😴
Love the Blues Kenny plays and sings- Noah knows the blues and sings them oh so well!!! Great Blues ! ✌️❤️🎸😎
Great to see Chris Layton still at it - with another great blues band
2nd that Bro
“The Whipper”
KWS and Chris Layton rocking it together. This is beautiful. Tight band all around...wish I had been there!
Nice to see Chris Layton Still playing
Saw him play on the Experience Hendrix tour not too long ago. He's actually a badass drummer. 👊💪
Saw that show when they were in Cleveland, OH. Best concert ever.
When I saw the Hendrix tribute show in NYC at the Beacon theater in I think 2008 Chris Lawton and the bass player from SRV were playing when they brought out the great Mitch Mitchell to play. Unfortunately Mitch. might of had too much to drink and couldn’t sit in for long on another drum set and play along with Chris.. I later met Mitch outside where he signed my program. Chris has one of Mitch Mitchell’s Ludwig Supraphonic snare drums that Mitch’s widow gave to Chris.
@@paulolsen6870 yes and they had Billy Cox on bass for some of that show that i saw in cincy. the saddest part of the show is after i saw Dweezil get into a 2004 Toyota Highlander when he left the gig. i thought to myself that's a pretty shit car for someone named zappa
Just saw him this past weekend. All I can saw was fabulous as always. Probably the most under rated guitar player today!
Kenny Wayne is now my all time fave... with Joe Bonamassa's Royal Albert Hall DVD now in second place, followed by John Petrucci. Kenny Wayne's performances are always stellar, his songs always tell a story, his guitar always playing my heart... a great artist, who never gave up. May God continue to greatly bless the work of your amazingly gifted hands and voice, and richly prosper you in every other way, also. The world needs you.
Thanks for your endless love and support you have shown me I'm forever grateful I really appreciate your unconditional love and support towards me... Where are you watching from?🌹♥️
I was grew up on Rock N Roll, Rhythm N Blues, Boogie Woogie Blues and good old Rockin Blues Too. This stuff sounds good to me. I wake up to the Rockin Blues and it makes me feel good. Kick up the music and play it loud to me all day long to have a hell of a good time. Nothing better than seeing Blues Bands Live N Loud close up.
Kenny, Noah, Chris, and everybody just rocks. Glad I stumbled on this video!!!
I am gladder❤smile
Noah is way underrated vocalist
I remember when he was a kid, his dad was the local DJ in Shreveport, LA. Certainly helped getting his music out there.
singer has that southern rock sound this is great
Это такое видеть и слыщать - спасиибббббббббббббббббб !!!!
Love these guys. Saw them a few years ago at one of the best concert areas on earth. Winter Park CO. Beautiful mountains, beautiful music. Good times!
I'm from Greece and I don't have the privilege to watch live these kind of gigs. From all the recent concerts I've seen through youtube, this is one of the greatest. The guys don't miss a note, the set is fantastic, the energy is tearing the roof. FUCK YEAH I'm partying alone in my living room !!!! Slick cat Kenny !!!
Once the pandemic is finished, book yourself a nice long vacation, come to America and see Kenny! You'll be happy you did!
Wicked to see Layton getting some recognition. SRV knew how lucky he was with his band 100%. Seeing Chris in a context where he's required to stretch his legs a bit more in terms of song styles is very cool. Makes you appreciate how well rounded a musician he is! What a groovy drummer too. Tones of pocket, can pull out the flashy fills if it suits, but sits back in the beat and just pushes the songs along. Bands are only as good as their drummer and us guitarists, we dream of having a drummer of his caliber to play off!
yeah, its good to see him on a satge, he is so keen on the kit! way to underestimated!
Wrong drummer boy. Good drummers r a dime a dozen. There will never be another SRV. Layton struck lightning. Let's get real son.
@@lastwhtknight3002 How can you listen to this and not also hear how talented the dudes in SRVs band were? I'm taking nothing away from SRV. I'm a huge fan. He's the only guitarist who made me put my guitar down for two months when I first heard him. I was playing 8 hours a day at that time! He had a huge impact on me. Even SRV has said in interviews, that as much as he loved to jam with his heroes, he'd always miss his band. Layton deserves huge credit and qudos for his talents as do Reese and Tommy, they locked in in a special way and provided a perfect foundation for SRV to shine with/on
@@lastwhtknight3002 yup, and Chris is exactly what he wanted. Perfect timing and fit Stevie perfectly. That he and Tommy were with him for all those years I'll take Stevie's opinion over yours. Yes he is no Gavin Harrison but Stevie didn't need that.
@@lastwhtknight3002 haha, by that logic great guitar players are also a dime a dozen. You’re commenting on a video of a guitar player that has made a career out of trying to be SRV…. And guess what? He wants it so bad he has his drummer in tow.
Kenny and Noah ....doesn’t get any better than this!
Damn good vocalist.
Mr. Chris Layton, the tailor that builds the pocket of this suit of Blue. Mr. KWS, the Architect of this fantastic group of musicians and the Master of the guitar! Great show
wow......realy perfect..
This is music for the ears that feeds the soul.

I am so happy, Kenny will come to Nürnberg/Germany on October 30th. Just bought my tickets... He`s an absolutly idol for me as a gitar-player.
Noah, your voice ROCKS. For the rest of the band, I wish I could catch you! Iive WOW!
Love that 60 cycle hum from the strat in-between songs. It's like oh snap this guy's about to Rock
Wow great performance ❤
That song, YOU WANT ME,,, oh yes, I do..
Kenny Wayne Shepard...
What's not to want??
He is damn sure, one fine specimen of a man..
You got Chris on the drums!
Hell yeah
SRV 4 LIFE
Hello from Simon P. & Everyone else at the Emerald Helm Recorders. R.P. KEEP ON ROCKING!
I've been following Kenny since he was 18 years old. He's f@cking' awesome.
never really listened to kenny wayne this sounds great
Thx for releasing this on CD/DVD. Unforgetable concert - even I wasn`t there ;P
On my way to see him right now. Lawrenceburg Indiana looking forward to getting out of the house and see some live music. They definitely rock I’ve seen two or three times before this.3/9/24
In 1991, I saw Stanley Jordan play at Rockefeller’s in Houston, TX. A lanky teenage kid with stringy blonde hair - some prodigy blues guitarist from Louisiana, we were told - was the opener. After seeing this high-schooler play, we all had a sense that we’d hear more of him in the future. Well, that 14-year-old kid was Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Going to see him play at the Houston House of Blues this evening. Where have all of those years gone?
I dont know who the dude is with the long hair doing all that singing, but, I have to say, damn it boy, you got it going on..
Love your voice!!
This band Is nothing short of totally amazing.
Kenny Wayne is a true master on that guitar..
And someday I will see them live!!!
Noah Hunt. He's been with Kenny since 1997... Dudes got a set of pipes!
Noah Hunt is the lead vocalist and has been with Kenny Wayne since their second album and one of the best! Saw them 2003 in Nashville,Tn along with ZZ Top and Ted Nugent. Rocking good time!
Fantastic Show great players great tunes KWS is a Great Player!!! The Blues Rules!
Wow all this time I have been missing out on this band !And wow kenny Wayne Shepherd is doing Stevie Ray Vaughan drummer now his drummer 👍.Wow a whole lot of Justice with his hot smoking Stevie Ray Vaughan guitar licks that he puts his own hot sauce on his guitar solos 🎸🎶🎵!Yes yes yes I am going to be keeping up on this blues band 👏👍 Kenny Wayne Shepherd hit me up when you read 👏🎸😎👍.
Yes yes yes 🎸🎤🎼🎵🎶👏😎👍
He also used to have Tommy Shannon on bass in the band.
Kenny plays almost NOTHING like SRV....his use of "similar" blues licks is coincidentally standard within the genre. If Kenny sounds anything like someone else it's Johnny Winter!....Johnny played a lot more slide based stuff, but the style is unmistakable...the TONE is slightly different due to the difference in instruments, but the Bridge humbucker is COMPLETELY different from Stevie's "cleaner " tone, and when Kenny starts to wail his technique and choice of phrasing in no way resembles anything Stevie would pull out of his hat.
@@guitarworks2546 You`re right!
The huge Srv influence I heard and seems kinda like a tribute which I thought was awsome was shame shame shame
They’re playing at The Ryman in Nashville in January. Sure would love to see that show!!!!
Awesome!! No.1!!! Kenny Wayne Shepherd ***SUPER Guitar virtuoso** Noah Hunt voice Great. Chris Layton drummer awesome from the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan Band.
guitar virtuoso is one who can play many different styles and nail it! KWS is a 3 chord blues specialist but not a virtuoso! I'd call Derrick Trucks a virtuoso but not Shepherd!
@@anthonycrystal33 agreed. I love KWS but he’s not the level of the great like SRV. Influenced and good yes, but 2 different levels
I’ve seen a lot of guitar players, and many real virtuous players, but At all KWS concerts I had always thought :”The best concert I EVER SEEN”. Kenny’s guitar, Noah voice, Chris drumming and the songs they play a perfect mix.
@@cantemirash obviously never seen a Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble concert!😶 You’d know perfection then...
Btw it wasn’t The Stevie Ray Vaughan Band wittekjmusic 🙄 it was DOUBLE TROUBLE....Stevie always said “I’m Stevie Ray Vaughan & WE ARE Double Trouble!!”.....he saw all of them as equal....very humble guy, Kenny a good imitation of him...but that’s all.
Chris Layton deserves a comment, too! What a legend!
Mr.Murky...i need to get on the ball here.I appreciate you pointing that out.❤
Whipper's like...yeah I'm just here hanging out playing drums. I love Chris Layton so much...
I'm sure it was an easy transition for him to play with Kenny.
..I'd put Tom Clufetos in there, with me on bass!! Hahaha..yeah, I'm dreaming, but I'm allowed to!
Dude knows something about the pocket.
Such a great concert. Noah's soulful voice, Kenny's guitar, Whipper on drums... I miss my life before covid and being able to go see concerts like this...
Would have loved to be there.!❤

It’s amazing how my music touches people, thanks to the support from my amazing fans. I hope you never stop listening to my songs❤️
No matter if it is a newer or older video KWS always rocks this song.
Listening from Norway 😊
Perfect music
I WANT YOU. What a GREAT Song. All the solos in this song just BURN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
The groove is SUPERB!
“Hard to stumble when you’re down on your knees.” Love it! God bless y’all!
One of the openers for B.B. KING 👑
He was about 19 , awesome 💯😎
Love you B.B. miss you every DAY 🙏
One of the best Live recordings I've heard! Songs are better than the studio versions.
Everyone has their game on, Just GREAT hard drivin blues.
Thanks a fan..
Man!! Who is this!! I’m in love with his look, his sound & his bad ass attitude ‼️💞‼️
What a great show. These guys rock. The Voodoo Chile rendition was awesome.
Go and watch SRVs version.
@@alanfrehley1373 Wow, so someone can't appreciate KWS version?
@@alanfrehley1373 go watch Hendrix' version 🙄
I saw KWS first time live. The only song I knew was Blue on Black. I never bothered to check out his other stuff 🤷🙄 I thought the guy singing was KWS not Noah. That's how little exposure I had.
When I saw Kenny and the way he played that damn guitar, I really felt I was going to melt out of my chair! I had NO idea. 😆
Been a solid fan ever since. ✌️
The most underrated musician alive. If he was born 20 years earlier he would be filling stadiums.
No doubt!!!
Sho´ nuff
I completely agree with that.
If he was born 20 years earlier he'd be Stevie Ray Vaughan
AMEN TO THAT!!!
Totally agree with kenny is underated etc!The guy is a ruthlessly powerful musician You have got the guy buddy
I just want to listen one or tow songs cause it's late tonight but I fall in the full show really great a lot of soul blues rock and talent here
Great song!🎉😮😊
I'm lime W.T.F.....how American BADASS IS THIS BAND?🗝❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Dang!! K W.S. !- & his band !-- are soo vvery good!! More please!! ‼️👍🎤🎶🎸🎼🎵🎵🎸🇺🇲
Your Music takes me away to days of tie dye, good weed, , good lovin"
Well said Kerry, carefree days of our youth, 👍
Totally love KWS!!!!! Awesome guitaring by Kenny, and Noah , who has a fabulous voice. And love Chris Layton's funky shirts! ! Awesome band, great musicians.
The white guitar has a such great tone! Great player! Great band! Glad to see Chris Layton on the drums!
Absolutamente de acuerdo. Layton añade un plus
No one plays turn to stone like KWS !!! He truly owns this song, what soul expression!!
I love this♥️🌹
Love the song take it on home, it touches your heart and pulls the strings to make you want to be where you belong
Been a fan since I first heard Kws tearing up on deja voodoo.. Bad ass guitarist very inspiring makes me wanna grab my strat .Thank God we got people like this Makin real music
I've been a huge fan of Kenny Wayne Sheppard band since they first came out! Incredible band. Absolutely amazing artists! Wow!🤟💕🤘🎼
Thanks for your endless love and support you have shown me I'm forever grateful I really appreciate your unconditional love and support towards me... Where are you watching from?
1st time to see & hear a few days ago & I love him & his Band.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I heard them on utube one time before they’re great very entertaining, hard-working group. Thanks for sharing them with us out here in South Alabama, USA.☮️❤️
With David Bowie on drums and Stevie Ray Vaughn on guitar you can't go wrong...
Oh hold on a minute...
and seriously just discovered Kenny Wayne Shepherd today. wow what a legend.
Jenny , is -& was ahead of time!! Way back when he first came out!! And better -& better & better!! ‼️🎸🎼🎤🎵👍🇺🇲
Don’t you mean Kenny?
Pure class .😃
Couldn't imagine anyone else singing for this band. 25+ years and no one ever talks about him.
HE WAS GOOD AND I STILL GO BACK TO THE SONGS HE SANG ON!
Just bloody marvelous
Too boot Kenny’s voodoo chille is so intertwined with Stevie’s version that it’s hard not to hear Stevie through Kenny. WELL DONE KENNY, your the next generations blues man with the rock solid technique to propel you further than even SRV ever went. Just be careful riding in helicopters after large events or planes from show featuring multiple artist. We don’t need to lose you to the skies or winds too............
Yeah u right
Have become a huge fan of this amazingly talented band. And they play like a band, Noah Hunt is perfect compliment to KWS. It's also awesome to have Chris Layton on drums. Going to see them in a couple months.
Waiting to hear y'all this April when you're here in Ohio!!! Peace and Merry Christmas til then.
what a great band!
My last live concert before Corona. Great band. Great musicians. Great setlist. Fantastic concert !!!
Thanks to WDR / Rockpalast team.
Teaching Guitar play and marvellous vocals and outstanding songs. That's Rockpalast as known well. (German TV)
Great performance. Heat Of The Sun....awesome !!!!!
Great concert. Great job by everybody. Y'all are rocking it out.
Love KENNY
Incredible band, I'm moved to tears when I listen to them. The horns are a real nice touch, the drummer is excellent, the singer is fantastic... As for KWS, he's simply a legend ^^
The Drummer is for Double Trouble of Steve Ray Vaughan .
Thanks for your endless love and support you have shown me I'm forever grateful I really appreciate your unconditional love and support you have shown me I'm forever grateful I really appreciate your unconditional love and support towards me... Where are you watching from?🌹❣️
I was experiencing the exact same thing - moved to tears. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn good jam.
I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't realize until watching this that KWS wasn't his own lead vocalist, Noah Hunt is. What a nidiot. Oh well.
KWS owes his livelihood to SRV and all the black guitar players out of Texas. But he is a force to be reckoned, no question a wonderful talent. Saw him in Bloomington IL a few years back, excellent show, really enjoyed it. Glad they are making music, good hard rockin blues outfit.
Kenny’s main solo in “shame shame shame” is most certainly a reemphasized version of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s main solo in the live versions of Texas flood. Very very very awesome that Kenny has brought SRV’s Solo Fire into the 21st century with a vengeance and with just as much if not more bang then Stevie did. Kenny is the only blues guitar player that could ever legitimately take the stage with Stevie and actually have a chance at being equal or better than the man himself SRV......... Not to mention with the hat & ponytail working for him and his choice of guitars only rivals SRV!!!!!!!
BRAVO!!!
KWS Band Is One Of My All Time Favorites..This Stuff Will Reset Your Soul..Nothin Like Some KWS Band And A Cold One To Start The Weekend..🤘🎸🤘
Perfect concert, a lot of maturity, he's part of the top ten of the greatest guitarists
Fuck this sounds so freaking good . The vocals are the best in every track . Joe and Kenny you are rock stars.I love you 2 both
I forgot Joe's last name
@@margaretstoner4701 I meant Noah
Watching on my Focal home system and it does sound freak’n amazing, and yes I’ve seen them maybe 6 years ago I believe 😎🤘👌
@@leonsam12 OMG Focal? U must be in HEAVEN!
Saw Kenny live for the first time about 20 years ago. STILL SOUNDING GREAT 👍
Woah...i thunk he was 20❤
