@@uhhcraveJust because one’s loaded, doesn’t mean one need to pay more for the same goods/services. That’s what these credits do. I'm canceling gold next renewal. It's too much work to break even on an AF for a card that doesn't offer that much. Close, or better multipliers are available elsewhere for zero effort and zero to much lower AF's. I don't think most people are getting 2cpp redemptions but with the CSR you get a base 1.5cpp with zero effort, plus 3x on all travel, this is a much better fit for my lifestyle. Chase trifecta is really hard to beat for the average person. I'll keep the platinum for the lifestyle improvements, that's worth the fee for us.
So glad people are finally catching on to the Savor One. It's been one of the best no-AF cards on the market since its debut. With the launch of the Venture X, it's half of an outstanding 2 card setup that pays for itself.

I thought I read that the Savor card is no longer offered? I got the Gold Amex right before this. I love it! But I eat out a bunch and can use the credits. Not happy with the jump in price but it still works so I'll keep it. I got it with a 90k sign up. So glad not having to deal with the current one. Not a fan of it. I think I would stick with Chase trifecta or do Citi custom cash and another one or 2 or their cards to earn if Amex wasn't good for me.

I used to really like this card. It is becoming increasingly worthless and not worth the cost for me. I just renewed at the $250 rate after being offered a retention bonus when I called in to cancel. I do not live where any of these restaurants are located. When i travel I usually have a rental car so I rarely use Uber. AMEX needs to understand that all of their users are not city dwelling 30 somethings. It might be a good card for some people,I am just not one of them, I have much better options. Found a 90k SUB. First card ever where I can take advantage of every credit offered. I wasn't sure about the Dunkin credit, but turns out I drive past a Dunkin drive thru on way to work. When you download the app, you get 14 days of free medium drinks, worth another $84. One of my favorite restaurants is a Resy. I intended to get the new white gold version, but somehow missed the part where I make the selection, and ended up with the traditional gold. After seeing the white gold, glad I made the mistake.
Dunkin' - Nobody seems to be talking about how easy it is to add $7 of value on the first of the month, select the Gold card for payment in Apple Pay and 3 days later the credit pops. That cash doesn't expire. If nothing else, be the office hero and blow out the value a couple times a year with donuts, bagels and coffee at the next in-office meeting day. It's minimal work for something readily useable and storeable. App reload converts "use or loose" to "a monthly transfer value for future use or loose."

Not sure I understand how having to spend $10K per year on restaurants just to break even against a NAF 3% card like the SavorOne is "compelling". That's a lot of spend even for a lot of wealthy people. And yes, I understand that there are lots and lots and lots of other coupons, etc. Look, the Gold card - and I mean the card itself - is a very cool card. Call me cynical but I suspect that a lot of people - a lot of people - rationalize that $325/year isn't a huge amount of money for a luxury item they can easily flex with, who try to convince themselves that the math somehow works for them, and when it doesn't, just chalk up that part of the annual fee that isn't subsidized as the cost of the drip.
Savor one is ok, but honestly citi's custom cash is the king of no a.f cards imho. I've never held a double cash bc the r+ and custom cashes pair so well with the premier whether for team travel and/or team cash back. I decided to move my c1 miles to the (pc'd) venture1 so i can just outright close the venture at yr1 (to later hopefully get vx) while maintaining the ability to use points freely, but without an a.f. Amex is a piece of dog 💩 imo, unless you're a huge spender and/ or churn biz bonuses
The Amex Gold defense force on reddit have been on patrol and are finding new ways to insult people who don't like the changes. 1. You're poor if you can't afford the Amex Gold's AF and needing to use the credits 2. You're poor also if you do utilize all the credits 3. You're dumb if you don't utilize all the credits 4. If you live outside of the Northeast, it's YOUR fault the card is no longer designed for you 5. It's also YOUR fault you had the card before the changes 6. You're not smart because you don't value MR points at 1.5-3CPP because everyone is an expert except you 7. You're poor because you don't like Dunkin 8. You're also poor because you like Dunkin 9. It's YOUR fault you don't live near any Resy restaurants
Shocker Amex fan boys can’t grasp there competition and paying insane annual fees for no reason to flex doesn’t sound as appealing when you can get the same affect for cheaper

People most definitely value drip. Drip value is vastly underrated. I'd like to actually watch a video with Sebby rationalizing drip value. 😂
I’m team white gold and just got the 100k sub baby!!! Officially on the Amex train now. 🚂 Lets go!
🎉
Man, people are seriously ripping on the new gold card 😬
It’s hideous
@@Polostar79 yea, every time I turn around, somebody’s doing a new bad vid on it. Suspect someone’s probably updating their resume 😏
The new gold essentials giving me two free meals every year.
Nice!
Hi
👋
I can use $0 of the credits
The Amex Gold defense force on reddit have been on patrol and are finding new ways to insult people who don't like the changes.
1. You're poor if you can't afford the Amex Gold's AF and needing to use the credits
2. You're poor also if you do utilize all the credits
3. You're dumb if you don't utilize all the credits
4. If you live outside of the Northeast, it's YOUR fault the card is no longer designed for you
5. It's also YOUR fault you had the card before the changes
6. You're not smart because you don't value MR points at 1.5-3CPP because everyone is an expert except you
7. You're poor because you don't like Dunkin
8. You're also poor because you like Dunkin
9. It's YOUR fault you don't live near any Resy restaurants
Shocker Amex fan boys can’t grasp there competition and paying insane annual fees for no reason to flex doesn’t sound as appealing when you can get the same affect for cheaper
@@robert8311 Exactly this. I kid you not, on a thread where people were just rumoring about Capital One's next potential card. I mentioned Savor X, and the Amex fanboys had to come in to defend their precious Gold card. It boggles my mind that they can't wrap their heads around people wanting Amex alternatives.
Lol that's funny to read.
It got better for me. Instead of being a -$10 card, it's now a +$99 card.
Did the youtube mafia force you to make this video? Blink three times if you are in trouble Sebby.
UA-cam mafia? 👀
@@AskSebby all the young ones that copy you that have been obsessed with shitting on Amex Gold lately. I call them UA-cam mafia.
Haha, didn't know that. Nah, was just presenting the other point of view for low spenders or people who don't live in cities.
Sebby you need to move OUT of that cesspool called San Francisco.
Yeah I’ll stay my broke ass in the Capital One pool.
Wish Dunkin would let you reload a custom amount rather than the lowest monthly amount being $10. Seems like such an arbitrary limitation.
You can reload as little as $2 via the app
I just loaded $7 on my Dunkin card?
When you reload on your Dunkin’s app, tap on the “Other” option under the “Select Value”.
Once you hit that “Other” option, you can put whatever amount you want (ex $7).
@@robertjarrell7276 whats the advatage of loading on the app? Wht wouldn't you just pay with the AMEX GOLD when you purchase. Am I missing something??
I think you're talking about auto-reloading, which has a minimum of $10. You can manually reload for $7.
C’mon Sebby, not you too😩 These should you cancel or not, avoid or not, keep or not videos are sooooooo not needed. This is like your 3rd Gold card video in the last week. Be different man!!!!!!!
