Great video with real life examples on how to use the benefits on the platinum card. For Dunkin Credit, you can also reload $7 every month to your Dunkin account with your Amex Gold card and you can still get the Dunkin credit. Thank you for pointing out that current gold card users still have to go to the site and press the "enroll" button (multiple times) to ensure they get the new credits. I have enjoyed the Uber & Dining credits every month for years, but forgot that I had had to enroll in them initially. I checked my acct and yep, the new Resy credit was not active. It took 3 different screens of accepting terms and clicking enroll buttons, but I finally got it applied. I'm going to use this credit on my trip in October - thanks again!

I can vouch you do not have to use the Gold Card to get the benefits when booking a hotel from The Hotel Collection. Just having the card gets you the benefits. I have the Gold card but used my Green card for a trip in May. I still got the free room upgrade and $100 credit I used for parking. Plus 3x points for using the Green card to book the room. I decided to cancel my Amex Gold card after the changes. I live in San Francisco and the closest Dunkin' Donuts is located 10 miles away from me. That is just too far to use a $10 credit and the Resy credit is too small to use. The high end restaurants cost way more than the $100 credit will cover. Amex should have skipped the Dunkin' credit and offered a $200 Resy credit instead. The Dunkin' and Resy credit did not offer enough value for the $75 annual fee increase for me. I am now taking a hard look at the Amex Platinum card to determine whether I should cancel that card as well.

Amex basically forcing you to eat at certain restaurants. No thanks. I prefer to spend the money on what I want to spend it on.

Can we get some healthy store food credits for once. Donuts are classified as the worst health food in the world

There are breakfast sandwhiches that are healthier. You can also order plain coffee without cream and/or sugar.

      Then don't buy donuts. I enjoyed the Egg White & Veggie Omelet Bites: 180 cal | 11g fat | 7g carbs | 13g protein | 0g added sugar.

Hotel Collection- you're paying more for expensive hotels. 🤷🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

Potentially. I'm okay with it if (a) the benefits I receive, for example, are worth $160 and (b) I only paid an extra $30/night for 2 nights. That'd be like getting $160 in benefits at a discounted rate of $60. Worth it, but only if I value those benefits.

I wouldn't say it's useless but I would say that if you are going to use this card you should definitely consider how much you are spending to receive your benefits. 4x on Groceries and Dining is great but spending $24 for a burger and fries to get a $10 credit seems silly.
