Biking Chiquito Trail: Wet and Bushy

This footage is from last year, May 2023. Recall 2023 set records in California for rainfall and snowpack, so all our trails were incredibly overgrown. In this video, it looks like I am biking through a waterfall-filled rainforest, not our usually dry and hot Santa Ana mountains. For this particular ride, I started early because I wanted to do Chiquito trail then go summit Santiago Peak, then return via Los Pinos Ridge. It was a day after a light sprinkle came in and because the trail was so overgrown, all that moisture that clung to the bushes ended up on me. I persevered in the wet and cold conditions for most of the day, but I ended up slightly short of my goal.
