Definitely a tricky trail especially at the actual "rocky part". I would recommend having a little more speed, weight way back and picking a straight line and going for it! The faster you go, although scarier, the better you float over that rock section. Hope this helps!
@@mtbnoob6464 Thanks for responding. I'm about a week out from fully healing up so I will definitely give it another go. I did actually give it more speed that last time I went. I think my body position was not far enough back like you mentioned, and I chose the line that has the pothole-sized steps. I make sure to hold speed but a bit more controlled this time around. Thanks again, and ride safe out there.
@@mtbnoob6464 Redemption on Rock-It trail on 9/27/2020. I parked the bike, scanned the cheese grater rock section, and took the best line at a comfortable speed. Not the best, but I didn't crash. Gonna keep this win and move onto Lynx and 5 Oaks next!
@@mtbnoob6464 cool. I just ordered those lenses from Oakley. They were 60 instead of $90 . Thanks for the reply. Picking them up tomorrow.. Ordered a few days ago. Trail torch for my Radar Ev Paths. Went with the bigger advance lens.
@@trailladymtb7700 That's awesome! I'm sure you'll like them! I was pleasantly surprised with how big of a difference they made compared to regular polarized sunglasses!
Fun story: I hadn't ridden a bike in like 15 years and I'm a big stocky guy. My roommate asked if I wanted to do an off road trails. Me not not knowing what he meant agreed and he took me on this. I didn't last long. Told him to go on ahead without me while I walked and dragged the bike most of the way. At least I tried and got some exercise lol
Love that you stay humble! All these plowing youtubers that ride these trails making it look like its no big deal. These trails are tricky!
In my opinion this is one of the trails that camera effect makes it look harder than it is
Nice one, Ive never been able to make it up the RockIt section at 6:40, I walk it every time
Nice !!! Awesome trail never gets old !!
First time I road this trail was in the late 80's when the rock section was less than a foot wide.
Ouch.... I used to be fast with this trail. After kids slow down a lot.
The crash was your punishment for riding wet trails.
Riding trails after a rain event puts ruts on the trails and makes it bad for everyone. At least he tried to avoid the wet spots...
@@sjam17 Avoiding the wet spots is what makes the trails so much wider.
Nice!! Great run. The crash? Somebody must've dumped some chain oil on the rocks, that's why you slipped, that's all :)
How were the trails not closed? So wet
72 Subs? C'mon. This is a great channel!
Appreciate the support!!!
I don’t know how I did it back then with 26” SB 66 yeti.
First time seeing Rock It wet. Also, first time seeing what the view looks like without all the smog.
If you add Crash, or fall to your title the views will go way up! Speaking from experience.
And it isn’t clickbait because you did crash
Just fell on rock it yesterday. Looking for tips on how to conquer this.

Glad you're healing up! Get back out there and kill it! Let us know how it goes! Best of luck!
There is a very distinct line on the right hand side of the rocky section. Speed is also your friend, if you go too slow your tire can catch.

Are those lenses in your Oakley's the trail or trail torch lenses? How good do they work on the trails?
They are the Oakley Prizm Trail Torch lenses!

How did you crash? Hard to tell. Did you catch the side of a rock?

Haha that's awesome! As long as you had fun right!!!
What the heck does a chainsaw chain have to do with mountain bikes. Am I missing something? Inside joke perhaps?
Guy took the worst line in every section beside the rock garden
I COULD TOTATALLY DO THIS TRAIL IT IS NOTHING COMPARED TO CYOTEY RUN
Maybe you need to go faster guy or get some more bike skills
