Jesse: OMG MRS PEREGRINES HOME NEEDS A FOURTH BOOK I NEED MORE MORE MORE Also Jesse: fourth book has been out for about six months and I still haven't read it yet
My dad gave me 20 bucks to eat at Panera Bread today and I didn't eat, but instead spent it on books and that's the most on brand thing I've ever done.
I don’t know why, but I just assumed that you were standing in your videos so seeing you turn around at the end made me gasp in the middle of the airport.
@Destiny Moran I just don't feel like picking up a book and even if I do, I'll not be in the mood to read. I'd give myself excuses and never finish on time. Then realise a bit too late, how much time I wasted and try finishing it in a rush, completely ruining the experience..
I've been rereading TMI TID TDA in publishing order preparing for Chains of Gold in November Also I've read fifty books so far I feel good about my one hundred-or-above-books-in- a-year goal!!!
Hi! So cool that you're rereading but seems like you haven't heard the CoG news and thought I'd fill you in. The publication's been pushed back to March, and you can read Cassie's explanation post here: cassandraclare.tumblr.com/post/184210079749/chain-of-gold-publication Have fun with your rereads though! :)
It really is a tragedy that you haven't read A Map of Days yet! I got into the series after catching your excitement about these books. A Map of Days was fantastic and left me wanting more and excited for continuations of the series.
Jesse, I started a new process of choosing books where I use a random number generator to pick a stand-alone or series. It might help you pick what to read next. By the way, I love watching your videos!
Jesse, I just want to say thank you. I experienced my first book hangover yesterday. My English teacher set me the second Hunger Games novel to read over the holidays and I was just devastated when it ended. I stayed up all night to read it, and the next day I couldn't stop thinking about it. I haven't read the other two books yet, and now they're way higher up my TBR than books in a series normally would be, especially when I am constantly being gifted new books that I can't wait to read. Thank you for introducing me to the wonderful world of book hangovers. That phrase described my day perfectly.
Something really funny with me: I just got out of a reading slump, finishing 3 books in 1 week (thank you, Audiobooks), and am exactly halfway through my Goodreads reading goal as of this morning (I finished The Try Guys’ book and am halfway through a reread of Six of Crows at the moment). I haven’t been reading much this year, so I didn’t realize that not only am I right on schedule, but ahead 😊
I finally caught back up with my goodreads schedule... Now I’m three ahead and at 78 out of my goal of 150 and I think I may have furthered my reading addiction 😶😂
Look at that gorgeous intro!! I recently put all my books into a new bookshelf, so I can SEE my physical TBR, yet choose to take out other books from the library and ignore the books in my own home lmao
Amazing list of books Jeese. The book I must read by the end of the year is either The Toll, Supernova or any of the comics installed in the ATLA/LOK universe. I am also a weirdo I have read 135/200 books on my goodreads goal.
I'm totally behind this year too.. But I've read some killer books so I'm not too mad. I read map of days! We believe in you Jesse 😂 I should do the mid year freak out tag again this year. I love it xx
I really enjoyed Two can Keep a Secret. Both of her books keep me wondering who the killer was throughout. I typically stay away from Thrillers because I can see the reveals coming way in advance. With Two can Keep and Secret and One of Us is Lying, she weaves the story in such a way that keeps the mystery fully in tacked. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.
Thought I had a pretty good handle on my TBR and wishlist but then Jesse mentioned "The Cruel Prince" and now I feel the urge to go down to the bookstore and buy it immediately. Dammit.
I've got three books that I'm stoked for: The Tyrant's Tomb (Trials of Apollo #4) which releases in September, Serafina and the Seven Stars (Serafina #4) which comes out this month! And Starsight (sequel to Skyward) which releases in November!
I was the exact same with Karyn McManus’s other book, enjoyed it way way more than I thought I would 🙏🏼 now I’m even more excited to read Two Can Keep a Secret
You ever see a movie called The Hole in the Ground? That movie has the exact same premise as this book. A mother loses her son in the woods and he soon returns, except he isn’t the son he once was. It’s pretty good.
I only have 39 physical books (just did a clean-out) 11 of which I have not read. I have been working on the same book throughout the year and only finished it last night. It was amazingly written but difficult to follow and I still don't know if I liked it, so I plan on re-reading it in conjunction to its sequel in the future. I have failed my books...
Okay, but rereading Crooked Kingdom just because you need to is such a mood. Jesse, you are gonna lose your mind over Wicked King. I'm so happy that Queen of Nothing is out in November, I might have actually spontaneously combusted if I had to wait until January. It's just one of those weird, "Normally I'd hate it, but this time I'm 100% addicted to it" things for me. Lol.
Jesse I love and respect you but you neeeeeed to read A map of Days! It’s really good and the next one is coming out in about 6 months so you need to get to it! That said, read what you want, when you want and don’t push yourself to read things you don’t feel like reading. I do that a lot and it makes me not want to read for months and it suuuucks. Anywho, hope you’re doing better after your health issue! Take care!
Currently reading queen of air and darkness! Finally! I graduated grad school two weeks ago, and re-read the entire TDA series in preparation for this book. I have a two year long tbr... Gotta tackle it
i used to get slumpy a lot and then saw someone else on booktube say (idk who) that they got slumpy and thought it was them but it was actually what they were picking up. maybe try reading something u wouldn't normally read. praying for u ❤
I'm excited about the release of 'The wizards of once: knock three times' by Cressida Cowell. Honourable mentions to 'the secret commonwealth' by Philip Pullman and the second book in the 'songs of magic' series.
Why didn't I get notifications for the last 3 videos (this one included)? UA-cam, what the everliving frickfrack? You let me miss out on all the good stuff?!
2019 release that I must read: Supernova by Marissa Meyer (book 3 in the Renegade trilogy). Release date: November 6. Extremely excited? YOU BET! It's like I need this book yesterday!
Don't worry Jesse... I'm way behind my tbr, and having a book slump. (I'm praying for both of us.)I'm also, rereading books I really don't need to read.😆😭
Jesse! Read KoA before you start to forget details of what happened in the last six and have to reread the whole series! That’s waaaaayyy more intimidating than just KoA! 😂 #inspiration
Jesse: OMG MRS PEREGRINES HOME NEEDS A FOURTH BOOK I NEED MORE MORE MORE
Also Jesse: fourth book has been out for about six months and I still haven't read it yet
The 5th book is coming out in six months
乁 ̆ o ̆ ㄏJustEmily wait...WHAT
@@ella_melchionna yeah, I think it's called The Council/Conference(?)of the Birds.
bahahahah me too
What is the name of the 4th one please , why am i so clueless?
Jesse: I’m nine books behind-
Me: I’m like 25 books behind with a goal of 25
SAME
Same!!!
I'm not going to like because it has 25 likes and I want to leave it like that
And there's those of us who are 13 books ahead lol
SAME... Goodreads says that I have to read 1 book per week
My dad gave me 20 bucks to eat at Panera Bread today and I didn't eat, but instead spent it on books and that's the most on brand thing I've ever done.
I'd say its money well spent
Money well spent indeed.
This comment is the truest thing I’ve ever seen
I'm 99% sure 99% of book lovers have a 99% chance of not being able to manage their TBRs. Including me.
Read Map of Days.
I agree. I feel like we are fickle creatures that read what they want to read and "I'll just get to this one later."
This is kinda random, but I like that shade of green on you. 🙂
Ya know, same.
50 shades of green
Jesse: I haven't read that many good books this year.
Also Jesse: I made a video where I read BookTubers' worst books of 2018
Well...
I am really good with my goodreads schedule I am 14 books or so ahead of schedule. That means I read 44 books out of 60. I am so proud of myself :)
That's amazing! 😁❤📚
Awesome job!
You go!
Right there's no need to brag MARIA!!
I'm kidding I'm very happy for you
Holy crap that's awesome! Good on you!
I don’t know why, but I just assumed that you were standing in your videos so seeing you turn around at the end made me gasp in the middle of the airport.
His knee is visible in the beginning.
Me: I've barely read 5 books this year
Jesse: I'm enduring a reading slump
Me: Ooh, you too?
Jesse: I've only read 25 books
Me: 😶
My reaction as well
@Destiny Moran I just don't feel like picking up a book and even if I do, I'll not be in the mood to read. I'd give myself excuses and never finish on time. Then realise a bit too late, how much time I wasted and try finishing it in a rush, completely ruining the experience..
MOOD
You re-read as much as you want man! It’s therapeutic.
I legit have 4 stacks of books in my room that I need to finish reading but I just keep on buying more books and putting them in the stack
Sarah Hunt this is the most relatable thing though 😭
I FELT THAT SO HARD! I’m finally making my way through my stack though 😂
Sameee!! My mother and friends are judging me for them😂
Yep.
Me
Night Tiger sounds awesome. I'm glad you told me I shouldn't send severed fingers as gifts. I better make some calls.
Dang it me too.
Uh crap. Me to- too late.
I've been rereading TMI TID TDA in publishing order preparing for Chains of Gold in November

Have fun with your rereads though! :)
Oh no I was really looking forward to it too! Guess I’ll have to wait a little longer but I’m still so excited
I’ve been reading the TMI as well.
I really want to reread TMI now that I have my own copies and I am planning to read all the other series...
Kendra Morse I’m also reading the books again because I haven’t even read Lady Midnight
Me: Has read 1 book all year
BUT I'm almost done with The Devouring Gray and it's good
I love that book! It got me out of a serious reading slump!
I too loved that book. I looked at the cover and it went straight to my tbr!!
Jesse is spoiling us with 2 videos in one day 😄😄 Love your videos Jesse! 📚📖
Corinne S I one day? Try in one hour?! What do I watch🤷🏼♀️

You are an awesome person! Thanks for motivating me to read and boosting my mood every single day🥳😍
I love rereading books! Don't put that pressure on yourself. I love your videos, even if it's just a readathon of books that you are rereading
Jess: I've read about 25 books.
Me: *feeling so guilty from the stack of books I have on my desk*.
Why do jesses’s new videos look so aesthetically pleasing? 😂

You should read The Selection series if you haven't already, I'm in looove with it 😍
Something really funny with me: I just got out of a reading slump, finishing 3 books in 1 week (thank you, Audiobooks), and am exactly halfway through my Goodreads reading goal as of this morning (I finished The Try Guys’ book and am halfway through a reread of Six of Crows at the moment). I haven’t been reading much this year, so I didn’t realize that not only am I right on schedule, but ahead 😊
My sister is going to college and I got 14 new books.
I must read them all.
I'm like 150 books ahead....
my goal is 250 right now I'm on book 243...
I wasn’t aware there were UA-cam channels about just books and I’m LOVING IT
This is kinda random but another book fair is coming my way and I need to finish reading my books asap so my parents can let me buy more books
Its Lit Fam it's on FIREEEEE
BUT NOT ACTUALLY ON FIRE BE CAUSE WE DON't Believe on book burning
IM DYING!!
I dont know what are you wearing but I LOVE IT
read queen of air and darkness! I love the dark artifices triology so much. Sooooo good but beware there is a cliffhanger.
I love that book so much!!! 😀😀 I'm on the last book of the infernal devices series and I'm dying it's so good 💗❤️😀
I’ve managed to read 124 books so far this year and yet this vid still gave me an existential book crisis
I’m super exited for the new Trials of Apollo book to come out in September! I’m so exited that I marked it in my calendar......wow...I’m a geek.
I'm freaking out about how bright Jesse's shirt is lol
I'm know this is a tag but it's so relieving to see these sprint-style reviews. I missed them.
Loving the new intro card. Also where did you get that short sleeve sweatshirt/shirt thing because I love it!
Two videos in a day. BEST MONDAY EVER!!!!
WAYWARD SON! Wayward Son is for SURE the book I need to read that’s being released this year! I’m so excited for that one :)
I'm five freaking books behind on goodreads...Freaking out...
Jesse...your bookshelves are sooo beautiful to look at...
I absolutely need to read Queen of Nothing (folk of the air #3), and Capturing the Devil (stalking jack the ripper #4)!
I was missing you! I'm so happy that you're back
It feels good to be back! Hoping to be more active this month.
I finally caught back up with my goodreads schedule... Now I’m three ahead and at 78 out of my goal of 150 and I think I may have furthered my reading addiction 😶😂
If you want to turn your year around read the Rebel of the Sands chronicles by Alwyn Hamilton
Look at that gorgeous intro!! I recently put all my books into a new bookshelf, so I can SEE my physical TBR, yet choose to take out other books from the library and ignore the books in my own home lmao
I’ve read 30 books exactly of the 52 that are my goal so I’m pretty proud of myself
Amazing list of books Jeese.

I am also a weirdo I have read 135/200 books on my goodreads goal.
😂 I just pulled out A Kingdom of Ash thinking MAYBE I'm ready to dive into it.. but I'm scared of it too!! Ha!
I'm totally behind this year too.. But I've read some killer books so I'm not too mad. I read map of days! We believe in you Jesse 😂 I should do the mid year freak out tag again this year. I love it xx

Honestly, watching your videos always somehow gets me out of my reading slumps ❤️
Also, I still haven’t read map of days either even though peculiar children are one of my favourite series as well!
I’ve been in a slump for the past week, but I’m getting back into reading TODAY! I have read 39 books since January 2019!😊
Thought I had a pretty good handle on my TBR and wishlist but then Jesse mentioned "The Cruel Prince" and now I feel the urge to go down to the bookstore and buy it immediately.
Dammit.
The Wicked Prince is SO good!! Read it ASAP Jesse!!
Rereading books is so relatable! 😂 I've read the harry potter books like three times through in 2019
I've got three books that I'm stoked for:
The Tyrant's Tomb (Trials of Apollo #4) which releases in September,
Serafina and the Seven Stars (Serafina #4) which comes out this month!

the most happy making book I've read this year is red white & royal blue ohhh my g it is amazing
You ever see a movie called The Hole in the Ground? That movie has the exact same premise as this book. A mother loses her son in the woods and he soon returns, except he isn’t the son he once was. It’s pretty good.
I absolutely love your videos! They make me excited to start reading new books 🙂

I am also about nine books behind!! We can do it Jesse!
Ouuuu Perks with a horror element.... sounds interesting!
YES A BOOK COVER MUSEUM we need it
I only just finished Queen of Air and Darkness. Yes, it's long, but it picks up. You just have to get through the beginning, which I found very slow.
I am dying to pick up The Night Tiger! Thank you for raving about it because you just convinced me to head on over to Amazon and order it right now :)
I read The Cruel Prince last year and wasnt planning on picking up The Wicked King, but I read it anyway recently, AND I LOVED IT SM
I'm excited about the release of 'The wizards of once: knock three times' by Cressida Cowell. Honourable mentions to 'the secret commonwealth' by Philip Pullman and the second book in the 'songs of magic' series.

Ok the Cruel Prince was SO good!!!
Book cover Museum! Yes! I'd 100% visit it 😉 ... and I hope they have a Poster Shop. There are covers I need to decorate my wall with 😍

Don't worry Jesse... I'm way behind my tbr, and having a book slump. (I'm praying for both of us.)I'm also, rereading books I really don't need to read.😆😭
Wow, thought I was the only one...
Love that new intro btw :D
Jesse! Read KoA before you start to forget details of what happened in the last six and have to reread the whole series! That’s waaaaayyy more intimidating than just KoA! 😂 #inspiration
Its my birthday today!!!,🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love to spend IT watching Jesse all day long😂❤️
Ida North happy birthday
Happy Birthday!

You know, the book Leah on the Offbeat should be turned into a movie, it’s one of my favorites.
