Dropping the knowledge. Thanks 👍👍. I personally own several Mfer rods and sixth sense too. I have been waiting for a travel rod to be released and now the new four piece rods are in the mail and I can't wait to use them🔥🔥🔥.
I love how you tell it how it is and who cares if you're promoting your rods, you should! Not everyone can say they have their own line of fishing rods and it fairly obvious you know what you're doing! Great video, Ben! You bettttt!
I absolutely love the more informative type videos. What gear you use is very important in how productive your fishing experience will be. Definitely one of the most informative channels on UA-cam. Keep up the great work MF’ER!!!!
I am a new viewer and love your content never tried 6th sense but I'm really liking the divine on ur videos and also I today has been really rough with my ptsd and depression and gotta say ur video have kept me from hurting myself thank you for yalls videos
Man thank you so much M’Fer! I have been waiting on a vid like this! YOU THE MAN!!! Your info for rod and reels was on point and definition as to why you like them so much.YOU BET!
Absolutely awesome info. Being newer to the game and not familiar with the terminology this was an excellent video to learn from. Looking at the 4 piece casting rod. Fish a lot of ponds and lakes in the Finger Lakes of NY.
I have two of the MFer 7”0 rods. I use them for crank baits, bigger tubes, worms, and flat 75x. They also do well with a chatter bait. They really are an all purpose rod. I have the 7”5’ extra heavy in my sights now as my next purchase.
Awesome information as always I really had no clue about what all that meant ty for what you do I would love to see more pike and muskie and am totally hooked on top water nothing better then watching the blow up
Love the video, I will be buying the first rod. The compact rod wenbe great. I have only been throwing a bait caster for about a year. Those have been round bait casters for catfishing. My uses would.be for farm ponds, some fishing from a kayak and small lakes. Just checking to see if there would be another shimano other then the one he had on his rod
I have almost have ordered the Zark several times. I will have to save and get one! I have one Milliken rod and I plan on getting more. The one I have is really well made.
Thanks for all the great info. Definitely would appreciate a vid about reels. I've used cheap equipment all my life. Definitely looking to get into a little better quality. Just ordered the Milliken spinning rod. Now gotta figure out what reel to get.
I’m going to Florida via Virginia in two weeks and really wanted to fish while there. It’s iced over in most of my ponds and lakes here now, so I’m jonesing. I JUST scooped your new milleken 4-piece off 6thsense dot com so I can take a rod to Florida on the plane. I’m also a local truck driver so it’ll be in my backpack to scope out new spots during the work week. ✌️
It’s super interesting how much opinion can vary on things in fishing. I have always had great luck with Abu Garcia reels, the rods are strait dookie though IMO. I also am a fan of glass rods for crank baits and chatter baits. What will really trip you out is I throw the Whale on a 7ft glass rod and have thrown other 4-5” soft swim baits on it with great success. 4/5 of my 7# fish came on a glass rod/soft swim bait/and belly weighted swim bait hook. I just make sure to stick them extra hard.
What has been your experience with copolymer? I'm completely new to fishing (outside of Shakespeare combos with the pre-spooled line when I was a kid) and it seems to be a good middle ground between flouro and braid
Ben, question. I got a northern pike trip in Canada this summer. Hauling rods is a problem and they don’t want anything over 7’. I don’t want to ship rods cause I need them at home for my fishing. I saw your new 4 piece that just came out. Do you think it will handle some Canadian Pike?
Been watching your videos for almost a year now.. Trusted you on the baits and techniques and they paid off in a big way for me, so I just ordered my first MF rod. I have a decent crank collection now (mostly shallow square bills) and I went with the new 4pc 7'2. Do you(if you read these) or anyone have a recommendation for a reel that is in the $100 or less range that is accommodating to this pole and my intended use? I am new at baitcasting and my success was...mixed with the $89 abu Garcia combo i bought last summer. I have no idea what I'm doing trying to calibrate it. She's like my wife, if I don't do everything perfectly, she makes my entire day shitty and I just want to throw her into the lake.
I’ve had good luck with the bass pro shops pro qualifier 2. It’s made by lews and has their better brake systems that come on the $150 and up reels for less than 100 bucks. I got my last couple on sale for 89 dollars. Hard to beat for the money.
@@MillikenFishing if I can bump it up into the 200ish range what would be a better reel to go well with the 7'2 4pc MFer? Gonna be doing mostly square bills: crush 50/100, minimag, swanks, etc. I also got a bunch of wake baits and hybrid cranks. I may even throw my mag sb shad sense when the stripers start runnin up the Hudson in a couple months
I’m a self admitted gear guy, I have way too many rods. My wife doesn’t even say anything anymore, just gives me the look. I didn’t realize how much gear I had until I started filming my own content and saw from a different perspective how ridiculous I look sometimes..
I'm in the past of the process where I have 4 rods and my wife says, you only need one. 😮 she don't know about the metanium I have lined up on Market place. I told her, I'm not even half way there. She spends 200 on haircuts. At least I can have these forever. At what point did yours stop even asking or caring.
Hey ben Thanks for the video, been an MFer and look foreword to your videos, and was wondering if you can suggest a good spinning reel or best under 100
I have a Kastking 7 foot fast action power H n line wt. 12-20lbs n lure wt. 1/2-1oz. And have a kastking Spartacus 6-3-1 gear ratio 12lbs-100yds. What baits are good to use on this combo?
Man you got me all stocked up on 6thsense baits now, but I got all spinning rods. Pretty outdated.. 20lb spiderwire on all of it. Would your spinning rod throw the whale, flush, prawn, striker craw, clout, & the shakey worm? One of these days I'll learn a baitcaster.. Lol
Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.
When I first started watching you all I wanted is a mf’r rod but I couldn’t afford one until this year and it was the travel rod deal recently this year
My dad n I r looking for some rigs for trolling maybe someone or ur self can pull me figure that out n I've been looking at couple rods for little creeks
I fish rivers and creeks mostly and The best rod I have ever used is my 5ft 10in med fast cadence CR7 rod and by god its a beast. I feel the opposite about the whole leverage thing when talking about setting the hook or picking up line with the rod. Physics tell us that the shorter rod gives you that faster response but also I skip with alot and I am more about accuracy than distance when it comes to casting because I promise you the 5ft 10in to 6ft rods do a dent job of casting distance as long as you have good line athe key is your reel, which I use the Cadence CS10 and I will put it up against any other spinning reel on the market regardless of price. So guys you don't have to use 7ft or longer rods unless they are technique specific like vertical jigging, just saying.
I have the 7’5 frog rod and the 7’2 med hvy moderate fast rod. My next one is the 7’9 swim bait rod I also want to pick up the two new 4 piece rods as well. I dig your line of rods they are pretty bad ass. Keep kickin Ass in the fishing game, oh and when can I get the water lands in prescription? Thanks again from the CB scumbag!

Appreciate you, Tom! Gotta mix these in to help the people that support me!
I've been looking for some 4-piece rods for fishing in the Boundary Waters or around town on a bike...glad I waited for these to come out.
Great video! Love it when you guys tell us about your equipment, baits, and line you typically use.
Always good to see your break down's videos. Yeah that Zark stick is one of my go too's. Thank you Brother.

I been eyeing these rods for a while. I was pumped to hear they were back in stock on yesterdays video. Looking forward to trying a couple out.
Awesome video! Like the tip videos! Can't wait for warmer weather to see you out on the water.
This was the video I needed. Thank you so much. Answered all the questions I had. Great job.
Great Video today. Learned a lot. Keep up the great content. 🤘
loved the video, thanks for taking the time to do it. really wish we could get your stuff shipped to ontario
another awesome video 📹👏appreciate the tips. I've caught so much more applying your techniques to my fishing in the UK
Absolutely awesome info. Being newer to the game and not familiar with the terminology this was an excellent video to learn from. Looking at the 4 piece casting rod. Fish a lot of ponds and lakes in the Finger Lakes of NY.
I have a few of your rods and love them. The quality and price are amazing. My next one i get is the wizard staff.
Glad you like them!

Been looking forward to a video like this for a while. Just what I needed before I go buy a new setup
I just picked up the Milliken 7ft I’m super stoked to try it out! Thanks for the discount!
Great video! Love the information of rod to reel choices!!! Thanks !!!
You bet!
Awesome information as always I really had no clue about what all that meant ty for what you do I would love to see more pike and muskie and am totally hooked on top water nothing better then watching the blow up
Great video , might have to give that 7’2 a try love medium cranking ! Good luck with the derby’s this year
Perfect timing with this video. I was debating on the 7' med/ heavy for crankbaits glad you mentioned getting the 7'2" for them. Thanks!
I was basing my decision off of the 6th Sense page. They should link this video on the site.

Loving the garage/tackle videos!!!
Thanks man!
@@MillikenFishing thank you 🙏
Thanks! Please make more of these, I have no idea what I'm doing!
Great video, thanks! When you use braid to leader what knot do you prefer to use?

Great video! Very educational man thank you!
You should swing up to Northern Michigan for the salmon migration in the spring. Lots of great content there!

Love the rods. But I'm sure you've got asked before but would you do a video going over what reels you use more in detail, budget to high end?
Sure thing!
I think your rods are awesome.
Cant wait to pick up the 4 piece baitcaster! Perfect for Catch and cook camping trips!
Great video. Just in time for my new set up😁
I got the 7ft Mfer and the 6’11 lux rod can’t wait to get them out
Hell yeah dude!
Nice!! What is a good budget reel and rod... budget combo to through big swimbaits for beginners?
I have the Zark rod with Lews reel and I love it!
Great video! Now go in depth into what line brand and lbs line you use.
Great suggestion!
Yessss! That’s what I was wondering too.

Well done Sir 👍
Yer boi just placed a BIG 6th Sense order. I had to get a Milliken 7'2" Med-hvy. Stoked!

Just ordered your 4pc spinning rod at 6th sense. I plan on hiking into lakes this summer and it will fit on my pack.
That's awesome!
Any recommendations for a pairing spinning reel? Mainly high mountain lakes.

Tough in that price range...I like the cheapest Tatula

Loving the Wizard staff
Thanks for the vid!
No problem!
Great info In this video.
Really love it when you stop to drop some knowledge bombs on us

Do you think the 7ft 9 rod would be good for flipping heavy cover?
What’s the line you are using on your swim bait rod?
Hey ben Thanks for the video, been an MFer and look foreword to your videos, and was wondering if you can suggest a good spinning reel or best under 100
Love the rods bro keep the dream rolling positive vibes!! god loves u all
Can we get more swimbait vids next year they are really fun to watch and we learn a lot!
go to a dedicated swimbait channel if you want more info on them.
What rod would you recommend for deeper than 15' crankbaits?
Will have to look into the 7’4
Thanks for the great info homie
I have a Kastking 7 foot fast action power H n line wt. 12-20lbs n lure wt. 1/2-1oz. And have a kastking Spartacus 6-3-1 gear ratio 12lbs-100yds. What baits are good to use on this combo?
I was wondering if you prefer a certain brand of line or if it matters at all? If you prefer one over another why is that?
What size is the spinning reel?
I just got the 7’2 rod but it says all purpose I can get away with other baits beside cranks? If not I’m gonna buy the 7’0 anyhow .
Now I know what I need 👌
How that one spinning reel you got given to you doing?
Still decent just a shitty drag
I love everything you do but I have awful luck with Baitcasters. Now I feel behind everything because I can't seem to get Baitcast. 🤷♂️
I'm 95% flyrodding it, but thanks for the 7' MH fast and 70 series reel all-purpose recommendation. Sounds like it's the 9' 6wt of baitcasters.
That's accurate!
First comment, you should hit some summer rivers in lower Michigan for "Smallheads"
Be getting my soon 💯🔥
Which one of those is your preferred spinner bait rod?
Man you got me all stocked up on 6thsense baits now, but I got all spinning rods. Pretty outdated.. 20lb spiderwire on all of it. Would your spinning rod throw the whale, flush, prawn, striker craw, clout, & the shakey worm? One of these days I'll learn a baitcaster.. Lol
Can you use the 7'4" for cat fishing
I do EVERY time I go catfishing. Powerful sumbich

Baby ike! 🤘👌
Rods are personal preference, but every rod and reel has a purpose for every angler that’s going for their target species!
What's your favorite reel for flipping/punching?
Will you be answering this in another video soon?
Nice fishing dude! Great vid, I just went fishing on my channel too! Keep it up 👍 🎣 🔥

Have you heard when the Vega Frogs will be back in stock?
I do wanna mybe copp the travel rod thov
I think we deserve a back history on how you and The Zark became friends. Speaking of the Zark, why doesn't he ever go ice fishing with y'all?
Hope you have a amazing day
100% agree with the slx is not a flipping reel
U should go ice fishing for big walleye

When are your rods coming back into stock???
Good to know
Mfer nation misses zark !!
Sold!
I think u should do more micro fishing
I love using the MFer spinning rod. Tough spinning rod but works well with most any baits I throw.
