Something about accepting oneself that is a particularly pleasant shade of gorgeous. Love this, I am currently noticing silver and would love to look like you when it's time.
I hated the stubborn white-silver in my hair...within a week of colouring the gray would be there - so visible!! During locked-down I had no choice but to let it be and I felt so miserable and just wanted to hide! It looked horrible! Then, after about two week it grew from roots only into length (my hair grows fast) and I started liking it! When I finally saw my hairdresser she just gave me platinum highlights to even out my hair a bit and I will never look back again!! The roots did not look good with my skin tone yet....when it grew out everything was transformed and for the first time in years I feel that my hair compliments my skin tone. It has relieved me from so much stress and constant colouring my hair. That was one major good thing that came out of the locked-down 2020!,

You are a beautiful lady,and I am very inspired. I am transiting now as well and loving my silver/white hair. I started blond as well so it is much easier to transition.. The last hair dye I did was the beginning of 2020., and with so many lockdowns, it was an easy thing to do.My hair is long as well,so I am waiting a bit more and then I will do a small trim..I am so impressed with all the women going this route. The are so inspirational..yes there are positive and negative comments,but I am listening to myself,and I tell them if they are negative I am not interested..Thankfully being home now most of the time because of the lockdowns was a much easier process.Again I loved what you wrote..and thank you.

You look amazing!!!! I like you am letting my grey grow through. I was someone who would have carried on dyeing my hair for ever.... touching up the roots every 3 weeks!! I just got so fed up with it. As grey hair became fashionable and with lockdown I decided to stop colouring my hair. It’s very liberating 😃 You have to change your makeup slightly but I’m loving the look,I’m late fifties and don’t regret it xx

Years ago in 2003 when I was 29 I was in a bagel shop in Fort Lauderdale and saw an older, maybe 70-something woman with the most beautiful long, thick, healthy snow white hair I'd ever seen. I *wanted* that hair and I was only in my 20s!!!! I don't know why it's considered a negative thing. The more women embrace the white and gray and normalize it, the more destigmitized it will become in our society. It needs to start somewhere. The media has done a lot of damage in terms of programming women's beauty standards.

Thank you! At last, someone with my former golden/warm blondish leanings, who thought she would have to go that route forever! I also needed to see the type of grey I would probably tend to go, whereas all I could find were women with darker hair and more steely grey, which I suspected wouldn't be me. I'm also doing the bleaching highlites and covering with silver shampoos, silver toners and use of Olaplex as my chosen route. You really do look so much better with your silver/white hair: a more valid beauty, and very classy 😊

My hair is a gorgeous silver grey…and most important super shiny and healthy. When I began my journey I didn’t know what I was going to end up with. I have seen so many variations.. Do I look older, don’t know don’t care. I do look happy because I am…I get a lot of who colored your hair too…Get regular cuts ladies it makes a difference… I use Oribe Silver…great product..

Like so many other videos on this site you tell your story but you don’t show the actual transition from the beginning which is the most difficult part. All of your photos show that you grow in your white out quite long already. If people want to encourage other women I would be very good to show the photos of the transition from the beginning. Your natural hair colour is sooo beautiful and you look so young . I’m transitioning with a red hair colour so it looks a lot more harsh than the ash blond you had , I’m eight and a half months in in so still a long way to go , I did a sewing video today and when I watched it back the back of my head looked so bad, I normally have it tied up think I’ll have to go back to putting it up.

Excuse me but that's not grey hair or full silver, that's some blend of blonde and natural white. She's had help to achieve it. It's not a grey as such.
She got her golden brown colour lightened and toned gray. Now she is fully transitioned to her natural gray.

I had dark hair with highlight my hair was professionally colored and I went cold Turkey cut my hair short and it did take 3 years to fully transition.....It is so worth it

I’m thinking of doing the same, to just go natural. I tried it for a while but gave in because of the contrast between the natural silver and the dyed sections. This Friday I have a hair appointment for highlights. I’m thinking of asking my hairdresser to do silver highlights so that the blending is easier on my eyes.
@@SunMoonDivinity hi, how did you get on at your hair appointment, did you decide to start the journey to grey/silver hair?
@@ktkclipper , the hair appointment was okay. The hairdresser added more blonde highlights than white / silver blonde. A few months later I cut/ trimmed my own hair to get the dried ends off as much as I could without going too short for a shoulder-length look. Then I used two one of Wella’s toners that had more purple in them, so that helped take more of the yellow out. After that I just kept using purple shampoo and conditioner and trimmed it some more, of course, over time. Lots more! Now it’s almost all grown out except for a bit in the back. Since it’s mostly silver, finally, I just use shampoos and conditioners that that are clear or white, and occasionally I’ll use purple shampoo and conditioner, but rarely do I dry my hair now on high heat, mostly low and medium heat because high heat burns/ yellows the silver! I leave the curl and wave do their thing unless I want more curls by using spongy rollers. I love my natural silver, grey, and white hair!!! And my scalp and well-being loves the natural-color hair just as much. And going natural has boosted my confidence.❤️
