You made the right decision and you look beautiful with your long silver hair! Lots of us are on this journey in redifining age, beauty and gray/silver hair. It’s just a hair color.
You look gorgeous! I messed up my 6 inches of gray roots, in January by dying them a demi color, not knowing any better, that this was a permanent color change. Now after finally fixing the color damage in April, I've finally got about 2 inches of new gray root growth! Can't wait until it grows out more! Grey hair rules!!
People weren't staring at you because you had long grey hair. People were staring at you because you look gorgeous! I am starting my silver journey too...Pink gin and chocolate buttons on stand by 😭😊
Hello Iam 9 months into growing my artificial colour out. Struggling a bit at the moment, i wondering what iam going to do when I need to go bck to England to see my family, no one knows I’ve stopped dyeing my hair.x
Regi is more beautiful now than she was when she had dark hair. As for you, rock that long natural hair! Don't concern yourself with potential negative family reaction.
I absolutely LOVE your natural hair it’s so so beautiful… I’m 28 and my hair is so incredibly gray I would say 40% gray… 2 months ago I shaved my hair off and now I’m going through the grow out period and I’m loving seeing all my grays come in…. Seeing amazing woman rocking their natural grays makes me so excited! Thank you for sharing and being strong in your journey and decision… xxx
Im 46 this year and just went through a hard breakup recently and my hair is going more grey than normal. I saw your video and am thinking of starting with a little lighter color like a mushroom brown as my hair was dark like yours.
What an amazing article. I too at 53 went cold turkey and ended up not by choice with a pixie. I did look like a chubby old woman!!! My son who is 34 has been salt and pepper and now mostly...silver since he was in his early twenties as he started graying at the age of 14 or 15!!! I have said gray knows no age boundaries. If I had stopped coloring I would have had this beautiful gair in my late 30's easy! I want to encourage a new time ...a new liberation of accepting our ever changing hair and ahowing that gray comes to the young as well!!
First of all, I don’t know how anyone can say anything about you except that you are an exceptional beauty! I turn 55 next month and in my wildest dreams I could never look as beautiful as you do. I also started letting my hair go gray naturally during the pandemic and it’s about the length of yours. It is liberating to say the least and I feel like I’m doing my body a favor by not continuing to aggressively put toxic chemicals on it. Forget the haters and keep being the beautiful and exceptional woman that you are. You are an inspiration! Thank you so much for sharing your journey.❤
I'm 57 and have had short hair most of my life. I now intend to grow it long. Something else us "older" women shouldn't have! You do you. I think you look amazing! 🥰
We travel in the same boat! I have been a pixie girl for the last four years and growing my hair long. Regi is an inspiration for me too. Hope you have a great hair journey! Thanks for watching. 😊
You look SO COOL and I love your style! I am 1 year in and I'm SO enjoying the freedom from the dyeing!!! I feel that my hair is so much healthier than it's ever been (since childhood)!!!
I think it looks very beautiful. Very cool, graceful and elegant. I am 26 and my hair always looked grey like pencil graphite grey and my skin is very pale so it looks quite unusual. And i used to hate it so much and sometimes people made comments on it. But i started to like it. It is unique and i never saw anyone else with my haircolor so i just started to embrace it. And as a bonus i think when i will start to have actual grey hair from aging it would not even be noticable because it already is grey my whole life. Thanks to you i see grey is not the enemy and it looks beautiful just as any haircolor.
Your hair looks great. At 55 I was just starting to wear my natural hair texture and decided to let my natural hair color come in at the same time. I started with a big chop to get rid of damaged strands. Now at 61 and I'm happy I did. At the time I really wanted my hair to come in all grey as fast as possible. Unfortunately I don't have that greying pattern but just today a woman came up to me and told me my hair is so pretty. I don't look for that but I've never had anyone say anything negative, only positive. My hair is now almost to my waist and I plan on being a silver lioness someday with long curly wild white and grey hair. Cannot wait!
We always keep on inspiring someone somewhere. It is surprising how we keep these natural highlights covered with an artificial colour just because we have been suggested to do that. It's the best decision I have ever made and I have never seen a single woman regret going grey. Glad for you as you love the new hair. Can't wait to see you roaring with your long silver hair. Thanks for being here. 🙂
Your hair looks beautiful!!!!! I also took the leap two years ago and I have enjoyed the journey as well! I’m still growing out the last of my dyed hair, but I am very happy with the results and will never go back to artificial hair ever again! 😊
First off, you don't look 55, you're beautiful. Your natural colour brought out the colour of your eyes and is softer on you than your dark dyed colour. You look amazing! I'm in it 1.5 yrs now and love the freedom it has given me. I'm almost there! You really inspired me and helped me reassure myself that I'm on the right track. Love it!!!
I really admire women with long grey hair. It takes time and dedication to reach that length. You are almost there. Good luck with your magnificent hair journey. Thanks for watching. 😊
Absolutely love your hair. Started growing my grey out 4 months and desperate to get rid of the dyed parts. If my hair grows anything like yours I will be very happy. X
You look amazing! I made the mistake to paint it again and now my hair feels like straw and ugly outgrowth... I was grey, but get insecure at the end of the winter. My skin looked very pale. I should have not listen to that feeling and keep it the way it was. It was finally healthy. Well, I will start over. I don't like the comments you got on your grey hair at all from people outside and even strangers.. How ridiculous and mean! Well, it gets me even more motivated now to get my grey hair grow back. We should show this crazy world the opposite of what this world promotes. It is all about earning a lot of money with all these products.. If women like hairpaint, then it's totally fine of course, but it must not be a standard of how a woman should look like. Thank you for the video.
For years I colored my hair. Due to the economy and having to buy another vehicle, I gave up haircuts, color, and getting my nails done. I'm 58 in July. I decided to own my gray hair. Actually, it's more like pepper and salt as we say here in the States. Watching your video, I was afraid you would never smile. You have a beautiful smile and you are gorgeous!
Beautiful! While travelling lately I noticed many more women with their natural hair colour! I love it. It’s been almost 5 years for me and I’d never go back. And I think long grey hair on most women makes them look awesome!
You are gorgeous!! I went gray 10 years ago at 55 and it is the best thing I have ever done!! Do not regret it one minute, mine is as long or longer than yours and I get compliments often 🎉😊❤
I am just hitting 3 months. Thank you so much for putting this video out there. Your hair is lovely, and the more women see these kinds of videos and other women and even their older family members letting their hair be their natural silver color, the younger generations will feel it is beautiful and not something to cover up.
not to mention a whole lot healthier too! :) I'm 48 and chose to grow out my gray over 10 years ago. not sure why but my hair has turned darker recently even though I haven't touched dye in ages! my grays now look more like slight highlights within my dark brown natural long hair. it's mid back and super thick. I love my hair now! :)
Beautiful! I am in the process of transitioning to grey and this inspires me to embrace it and keep going! When I get discouraged I tell myself, just trust the process! Thank you!
I started going gray at 30... I finally made the decision to stop coloring my hair after I developed severe metal allergies (yes, there are heavy metals in all hair color). I am 41 now and almost all salt and pepper - and I love it! It is incredibly liberating! Also, being gray has not changed who I am , what I do, what I love... it is literally just an accessory and I wish more people cared less about what accessories I carry :)
Hello, could you be so kind to explain about the allergy, how does it appear? I'm an allergic and I have metallic allergy as well, but I thought it considered to the jewelry or belts,or something else that contacts with my skin. Newer heart about such reaction 😐 excuse me for my mistakes, don't use translation 😅
I grew out my hair at the beginning of 2020 and it came out as a beautiful sparkling silver, I went thru a very ugly stage but just wore hats. I now have a long asymmetrical bob and get many compliments on it. I am 58yrs and wish I did it much sooner. Like you I wash it once a week with a purple shampoo and is so healthy and shiny 😊
Am at the last stages of my hair going gray. Yours is gorgeous! You are a real inspiration. I got my hair cut chin length and cannot wait for it to be long again!
Exactly the same feeling I had when I had a very short pixie as a transitioning haircut 4 years back. I am still a pixie girl and heading towards growing it long. Regi is my inspiration to grow it long now. Thanks for watching. I am glad you are here. 🙂
I went through a personal hell growing out my grey hair because it is quite white and was such a shock. I didn’t cut my hair though. Without the bulk of dye it feels much thinner. Everyone was supportive except one acquaintance who hated it as much as me. I’m starting to come to terms with it somewhat but it has taken a long time. I’m glad I did grow it out though. I could not handle, anymore, “every two weeks” looking like a skunk. You have nothing to worry about because you are very beautiful. Your grey hair is spectacular. Thank you for sharing. I feel less alone in this adventure.
Thanks Regi is gorgeous. I am glad I ditched the dye three years back at the age of 36 and I must say it is more than 80% white. But I love my silver crown, it gave me a new life and identity that is far appealing than what it was when I coloured my hair brown. Thanks for watching. I am glad you are here!
Wow, your journey is incredibly inspiring. You look amazing. I was just about to dye my hair again this morning because I thought I couldn't stand going gray. But I don't want anymore. Now the first 4 weeks are over for me. I am 54 years old and have been coloring with henna and indigo for the last 10 years every 2 weeks. It was basically awful, the smell, the time, the work, the water consumption and all for 2 weeks. Luckily I found your video. Thanks for that and all the best Nicole ❣
Best video for me to see and I have been watching a lot! I had decided to try and have an ashy brown color and see how I like it but I may just do what I initially planned (just not as soon) and go back to a pixie cut.
New sub. Stopped colouring my hair 3 and a half years ago,I’m 57, and it was the best decision! My hair is a fairly even mixture of grey and my strawberry blonde and is past my shoulders. My hair and scalp is in so much better condition. I’ve received a mixed response, but I am happy with it and that’s what counts 😊❤️🇬🇧
I love this journey as it's all about self-discovery. The transition period helped me to dig deep and find my superpowers: patience, confidence, forgiveness and self-acceptance. Also, I own a healthy and sparkly scalp and hair. Good luck with your hair journey. I am glad you are here. 🙂
I am on this journey now. I’m 41 and I’ve committed to a year with no coloring to see where that takes me! I’m a therapist so I feel like gray hair can only help my brand 🤣🤣🤣 The pixie cut was beautiful on you and it’s amazing long.
You are beautiful! I'm in my late 60's and just beginning the growing-out phase. It's rather exciting to see what I'll end up with after coloring my hair for so many years. I've also ditched makeup too. It feels good.
I'm 23 and I already have some gray hairs. Although their texture is quite different to my usually curly hair, I actually really love them. Friends and family have asked me quite regularily if they should pluck them out for me, but I think that's stupid considering they'll always stay white from now on. I adore salt and pepper hair and if my hair grows grey in my twenties, so be it. I think it looks cool :)
Wow! I love your guts and your understanding to embrace the truth and reality. You go girl! Good luck with your hair journey, we need more people like you.
Late to the party but wanted to share in case it helps. I have medium texture curly hair. I use a medium Moroccan conditioner to soften the course difference. I'm salt and pepper and use pulpriot purple shampoo every two months to ash out and brighten my white to silver. It's been a game changer for a 3 minute wash before conditioning. Just clean scalp first. Embrace the change. My grey came in and fell out multiple times in my 20's and 30's Hormonal or not it was mine.
Wow, what a stunning beauty she is!!! I noticed the more grey she became the happier she seemed. That smile was shining through! I've watched tons of "going grey" videos, but this one really spoke to me. Thank u for sharing 😊
Believe me, I have watched several grey hair transition journeys and not a single woman regrets embracing their natural hair. Definitely, Regi is beautiful and more confident now. Thanks for watching.
This video did it for me, for sure. I'm going for it. I just hope I find the strength to push through to the end. I know I'm going to learn alot about myself that I didn't realize. I know for sure that I want to be the authentic me, and stop hiding behind what I'm supposed to be. There are so any options. We don't have to put ourselves in a box with only 1 solution. Cannot wait to see those silvers popping through. My hair is naturally dark brown, but have been bleaching with highlights for the past 2 years...this is going to be interesting. Thank you for taking the time to respond and posting all these inspiring stories. Like I said this is the one that really spoke to me and lit that fire. Thank you!!! New subbie btw 😊
Thank you so much for sharing. You are a beautiful woman. Your hair is beautiful! It looks a bit dry but that's an easy fix. Overall, very pretty and fashionable. This is giving me the courage to let go of the dye as well and embrace the gray. Thank you so much.
I've recently decided to stop coloring my hair and it feels liberating. I know it will make me look older, but i am getting older! There's no amount of makeup or hair color that will stop aging so I'm accepting it with grace. I'm more focused on my health rather than just my appearance. My only concern is ageism when applying for a new job. You look beautiful with your new hair!
I clicked on this video thinking that it's about dying your hair grey bc I love it. Seeing that it's your natural hair amazed me. I love grey hair and it looks great on you. You look cool, you look gorgeous, you look amazing!
You're a true beauty and you look even better with your natural hair than with the dyed one! ❤ I'm 41 and have just cut my hair short to remove brassy and damaged endings, more - I just dared to go to a job interview with the remaining mix of gray and dyed brown (cooled by conditioner). Let's all speak for our natural beauty! ❤❤❤
This is SO inspiring!!! You look INCREDIBLE with your grey hair!! Especially LONG!!! I have naturally dark hair and have been using henna /indigo on it for years but long to be free of trying to hide the greys… I just chopped off about 10” of hair to a chin length bob and can’t stomach the idea of a pixie, and the kind slow grow out process… but man, you make it look tempting!!!
😀😀Regi is my inspiration to grow my hair long. I transitioned to grey 4 years back and cut my hair to a short pixie and now growing it long. A short bob won't take more than a year and a half to grow out completely. Stay strong and focused on your hair goal. Best wishes!
Oh I loved your video Régi is beautiful with long grey hair. I could really relate to her emotions from negative comments. My own mother said I looked aged with grey hair and even said I looked like a hag - I am devastated by that but am now going to grow it even longer!!!! My hair is currently just above my shoulders. Thank you so much for such a lovely video.
Thanks Susan for watching the video. Regi has been an inspiration to me too for the last three years. I am growing my pixie cut in to long grey hair. Hope you achieve your dream hair soon. Good luck!
I have long hair and going gray. Mine is coming in like highlights and honestly I love it. No one has ever said anything negative to me. That is pretty bold for someone to say anything but I usually get compliments. My hair is very long too; not just medium long. Thanks for this. Absolutely beautiful! Honestly I wish more women would stop chopping their hair off simply because they are getting older. You can have long hair and keep it looking good. I honestly don't get why so many women chop it all off because of an age.
I did the same decided to stop colouring my hair and let it grow out, I gave it the chop at first to even it out now my hair is a beautiful light grey going towards white tone. It’s healthy as no chemicals are being used. I wash my hair once a week with sulphate free grey shampoo and conditioner. Love it.💋❤️
The gray hair looks so much better against her skin tone. I myself am transitioning to full gray all the way. My scalp doesn’t itch at all anymore and my hair is thicker and softer. My husband loves it, he says it shows we are getting old and we are doing it together.
THANK YOU, i just randomly saw this in my feed, and as 53yr old who is going through the letting it go or keep dying, this has given me so much more to think about with the let it go side. Your grey hair i think looks beautiful on you when longer, i think just coz of the fullness and flow ect, just gorgeous. So we struggle with the stigma, but young woman are dying their hair grayish colors , Argh Go figure
Wow!!!! You look fantastic in your gray hair and the fact you have a beautiful face enhances it. I'm 51, gray and was never good at upkeep when it came to dying, so the choice was simple. I just let it gray but it took a few years as I wear it long. My hair doesn't match my body or face. In other words people think I dye it. 🤣😂 And I rock it!!!! I ignored my mom and friends who told me to dye it. Even after I went gray my mom was still dying hers. After a few years passed and seeing my hair, she let hers go. She actually looks better as I hated the dark brown she had. The color made her look older and made her features look harsher. Well you look great.
Ye s Yes I agree and appreciate posting of this complete journey to grey hair freedom. However I want to say this woman is extremely beautiful. She looks good no matter what her color is with her face feature, and skin condition........ so she is not a good example but an exceptional case of smooth transition
Thanks! Yes, she is beautiful. But how beautiful is it that she has embraced her grey hair which according to society is a flaw and has to be covered. From my point of view, every woman going grey is exceptionally beautiful. This journey requires a lot of guts and dedication to reach the finish line. Thanks for watching!
I'm 55 and am wearing my hair long and grey. My husband loves it and I get a lot of compliments on the way it looks. I do have a regular hair routine and I do whatever I can to take very good care of my hair. 4 days minimum between blowouts, I sleep on a silk pillow with my hair up in a bun.
You are so gorgeous, you should be a hair model! I'm six weeks into growing out my think straight auburn hair, which has always been my best feature and the one thing strangers always compliment. I'm thinking about growing my very white roots for two more months and then getting a short pixie cut, as I can't stand the process of watching the skunk stripe get bigger. OR I will chicken out and do a dye strip with henna and keep my hair long.
I think you are beautiful and your hair looks amazing as well. Thank you for sharing your story. I am 52, a hairstylist by trade and I am done with colouring my hair. My husband doesn’t love the idea, like most people, he thinks it will age me but he does support my decision. I think the skunk grow out line is more aging. I can’t wait to be able to look back at my hair transition. 🙏🏻💕
Stunning woman to begin with. The silver just makes her more beautiful
Absolutely! She is a grey hair diva. 😊
You made the right decision and you look beautiful with your long silver hair! Lots of us are on this journey in redifining age, beauty and gray/silver hair. It’s just a hair color.
Stunning. In the pictures she actually looks happier with the gray hair confidence is noticeable and her liberation is observable!
Just spectacular. It seems to be a strange fact that the more beautiful a woman is the more others feel the need to critique.
Yep, strange but true.
It’s all out of jealousy and trying to feel better about themselves by putting others down. She slays though and I love her attitude
It's all jealousy
People weren't staring at you because you had long grey hair. People were staring at you because you look gorgeous!
I am starting my silver journey too...Pink gin and chocolate buttons on stand by 😭😊
Thanks. You go girl! 😃

Your hair is beautiful. I’m 62, and let my hair go gray in my 40s. I don’t regret it at all.
Enjoy the freedom! 😊

I am 63 and I am in the gray transition three months now. I could see my pattern, it’s salt and pepper and I wish I had done it 20 years ago…
You are beautiful. If you are the only woman with grey hair in your town, it makes it even more elegant and selected.

My hair is like that too, graphite grey. And now about 20% whitish. I'm still not sure about growing it out completely though.

Thanks for sharing Regi's journey.I have reached that stage of wanting to let what is grey grow out.
She looks great with both short and long hair .
Beautiful! I don't think silver ages her at all- just the opposite. Her skin is luminous without the harsh dark color. Shine on, my silver sisters :)
Thank You!! Regi is beautiful.

Newer heart about such reaction 😐 excuse me for my mistakes, don't use translation 😅
Your hair looks healthy and beautiful, you look stunning. I love grey hair!!
Your hair is stunning! I'm starting my silver gray journey too and it feels really good and it is very liberating! Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome! Thanks for being here. Good luck with your hair journey.
I thank Heaven for my platinum hair and it's free!
She's so beautiful!
Sophisticated, stunning look! I went cold turkey about three years ago and I just love my hair.
Your silver grey hair looks gorgeous ❤❤❤
That was bad-ass of you to not only grow it out, but to do the pixie! Just gorgeous too❣️
Exactly the same feeling I had when I had a very short pixie as a transitioning haircut 4 years back. I am still a pixie girl and heading towards growing it long. Regi is my inspiration to grow it long now. Thanks for watching. I am glad you are here. 🙂
You look stunning and skin is glowing.
Your grey hair is BEAUTIFUL!
Thank You!
Your hair is inspiring!
You’re gorgeous too! Thanks for sharing
Thanks. Good luck with your hair transition journey. 😊
You are beautiful! I'm in my late 60's and just beginning the growing-out phase. It's rather exciting to see what I'll end up with after coloring my hair for so many years. I've also ditched makeup too. It feels good.
Exceptionally beautiful and natural.
Thanks! She is beautiful and inspiring.
Very pretty! Thanks for sharing your story.
@@sparklingsilvers Thank you! :)
My grey came in and fell out multiple times in my 20's and 30's Hormonal or not it was mine.
your hair is BEAUTIFUL 🎉🎉🎉HAIR GOALS!!!❤
Gorgeous! I'm also looking forward to growing out my natural hair again (mostly light brown with a few silvers).
Love the hair!💯
Thanks 😊
@@birdmadgirl7072 If we can do it, you can too! Good luck with your beautiful transition journey. And we are glad you are here. Thanks ☺
@@sparklingsilvers thank you for your support!!!! Means so much 🥰
Looks incredible and suits you and your lifestyle perfectly! Best choice ever
Exactly! It's liberating.
You look fabulous and you have beautiful hair. Love it. ❤ Thanks for sharing your journey.
Thank you so much! Glad you like it!
Thank you so much for sharing. You are a beautiful woman. Your hair is beautiful! It looks a bit dry but that's an easy fix. Overall, very pretty and fashionable. This is giving me the courage to let go of the dye as well and embrace the gray. Thank you so much.
Go girl. You look marvelous
Thank you. 😇
Thank you, for posting this!
You are welcome. Good luck with your hair journey! 🙂
Exactly! Grey hair doesn’t make you look older unless you FEEL older! Best wishes. 😊
love the concept you truly a beautiful person
Stunning, fierce, striking, beautiful and elegant.. those are all words that come to mind. Thank you for sharing your journey. I’m inspired. ✨💙
Glad you like it. Regi is an inspiration.
I clicked on this video thinking that it's about dying your hair grey bc I love it. Seeing that it's your natural hair amazed me. I love grey hair and it looks great on you. You look cool, you look gorgeous, you look amazing!
Glad you like the surprise!! Thanks so much for watching.
I'm just starting my gray journey, So thankful for all of you others!!!
Great! Good luck with your gray hair journey 😊
You look amazing Regi, and very stylish.
Love it.💋❤️
wow love your story ! mine has just started , you look fab ❤
Beautiful ! love it !
The gray hair looks so much better against her skin tone. I myself am transitioning to full gray all the way. My scalp doesn’t itch at all anymore and my hair is thicker and softer. My husband loves it, he says it shows we are getting old and we are doing it together.
How sweet that your husband is supportive. Good luck with your hair journey! 🙂
Beautiful 🤩
Thanks, she is beautiful!
I’m so happy there’s videos like this to help me through the process because I just shaved it all off. ❤💕thank you ❤
You are looking fabulous!!
You were beautiful at every stage of your hair transition. Similar journey as myself. 💖x
👏👏👏 Thanks, she has extremely beautiful hair.
You're rockin it!!!
Thanks!
You don't look 55 - your skin is spectacular!
You are stunning and your silver hair just enhances your features.
Thanks! 🙂
Stunning woman !!!
Stunning!! There probably jealous coz they know grey wouldn't look as good on them.
Exactly! Why not rock those silvers when God gifted us. It's just a matter of self-acceptance, I believe.
Your hair is gorgeous!!! 🖤
Yes, Her hair is gorgeous. Thanks for watching. 😊
You are beautiful! I started this journey last august, while I was very sick with covid, and I do love it!
Wonderful!
Perfect observation you have. As we age, dyed hair looks harsh and doesn't suit our aging skin tone. Keep rocking those silver mane girl!
Its so pretty. I have a hard time believing that you are 55 ! you look fab
Lovely, in the process of letting mine grow.
Beautiful
I'm 55 and am wearing my hair long and grey. My husband loves it and I get a lot of compliments on the way it looks. I do have a regular hair routine and I do whatever I can to take very good care of my hair. 4 days minimum between blowouts, I sleep on a silk pillow with my hair up in a bun.
That's very nice that your hubby is supportive. And you are taking good care of your silvers. Good going!
You‘re looking great…! It really helps me in my going grey journey (3 month now). Thank you for sharing❤️.
Thanks for watching. Good luck with your hair journey. 😊
Loved your video. My last dye was in march.
Go for it! It will be beautiful. I have zero regrets. 😊
