Hi Guru. . I’m contemplating withdrawal from over 10 years of a high dose of Xanax. When you say if I can do it anyone can. . I feel like I’m that person that can’t do it. Listening to you I felt like I was listening to myself. I noticed this utube is from several years ago. . Only 1 other fairly recent comment. I hope you’re still out there, I still need help. Thx.
Benzobuddies.org is a tremendously helpful website. Many helpful souls are there to help anyone trying to kick a benzo habit. Peace and best of luck to all!
My name is Colleen. I have just watched some videos of clonazapan addictions and amazed! I was given by my Doctor. 16 mg a day of this medication. And abruptly cut off last October . Everyday is a struggle.any comments would be appreciated!
BenzoFreeGuru: Very very helpful ! Not only your smart but you know this Klonopin (my med) very well... I'm like you have been using it since 2006...it's 2015... Still addicted... The thing tho is that it just helps me like any other Med I've ever tried in my life for your exact same reasons. I wonder if there's something around that would mimic the benefits I get from Clonazepam. Thank You very much !
The irony is that benzos are one of the least toxic and least destructive to your biology, cns system etc , "drug family", BUT they are the hardest drugs to withdraw and recover from . Benzo and alcohol withdrawal has the highest percentage of deaths in withdrawal . Most heroin addicts will tell you their benzo withdrawal was worse and longer than heroin withdrawal .
I've been on benzodiazepines since 2006. Started on Xanax ( 4mg daily ), then after 2 years it was switch to clonazepam ( 6mg daily ) for 8 years, and now on Ativan ( 2mg daily) but I've brought myself Down to 1mg. How long did your withdrawals last?
Please share your thoughts experiences w/acupuncture, exercise, diet. I tapered n jumped w/out being fully educated...shocked my brain n cns. Did accupunture during taper so not sure if it helped. What r your thoughts on ppl thst taper too fast n what do I do to feel better. I'm 4 1/2 months out since jump. Jessz on BB Thanks for any help
Britnie Ingram great question! ive watched a few of erin's videos and she hasn't mentioned anything about seizures yet, and our medication history is almost identical. im terrified of seizures it would be helpful if she'd respond to her followers...😞
Ask for Topiramate. Trust me I myself struggle with benzos. Gabapentine and Topiramate stop the seizures. Or stop the feeling of a seizure coming on as well as I’ve never had one yet. But I know I’ve almost had one going through withdrawal. It feels like my brain is fading out or something like my thoughts are getting quieter. I knew that was almost a seizure. Trust me gabapentine and Topiramate
ben landro Glad it helped you, Ben. However, Gabapentin can be very toxic to certain people. You can get "mystery" rashes and jerking muscles that might be mistaken for part of the withdrawal syndrome. Baclofen works for some. Whatever one might avail oneself of, the principle of least medication should be followed. Only time cures BWS.
@@justjoy7194 I know what you mean, Joy. I'm 67 years old and also have been on benzos for about thirty years as well. Sometimes I don't know if the withdrawal is worth it at my age.
@@hirskdubbi yes in some people, right. Maybe CBD (cannabidiol) is really the best choice for anxiety currently. I' m using it since some time and I think its a wonder drug.
People are reporting relief from either CBD/kratom or both. I'm currently in a benzo taper (valium), taking a red vein bali, and full spectrum hemp CBD capsules. My experience on a taper: It's getting me through some of the w/d symptoms better than my first two taper attempts, and I've got about 40% to go. I still hit walls, I still have beautiful moments of feeling like myself again, still windows, still some waves, but the waves aren't SO bad it seems. I'm able to use THC (medically) again too, as I had to quit even though I was a daily user, actually about two weeks after being prescribed ativan for panic attacks "as needed" but trying to stop I went into acute withdrawals and found myself having to suddenly stop MJ as it exasperated my anxiety and I had to make sure it wasn't causing it. Turns out I had bigger problems, benzo withdrawal syndrome. Now, especially with CBD keeping things in check and more balanced, I can find some relief though natural, plant-based means. I basically use kratom for pain, anxiety, and as a sort of mood lift because if people can be poly-drugged on antidepressants (serotonin) and mood stabilizers (dopamine) which can very much alter your perception too with some gnarly side effects, then why can't I also take a natural mood elevator/stabilizer too? CBD has been excellent, I can't over-do it on CBD, my only consquence is possibly feeling more benefits, lol. Ugh, take that pharma, so over it. So glad the poster of this video had success and stayed positive.
I cant belive ive beaten a 12 yr benzo addiction. Clonazepam, diaz, oxel, ativan.I shud b dead but naah. What an experience!!!!!!!!

The benzos work...why get off them?

It is horribly destructive to the CNS

gabapentin aka neurontin is very helpful in benzo detox. Check with an addiction doc who is knowledgeable.

I am now down to .5 of Xanax per day... thanks to KRATOM
yah Kratom rocks!
Low dose cannabis works too.
@@moonglow6639 no it does NOT. It increases your anxiety ten fold. panic attack ten fold.
