I'm still pleasantly amazed at the scope of genious that was Carlin. He was no simple circus clown, he actually used his potential to the fullest. Lesson to be learned! :)
I love his explanation of the writing process. It applies to fine art as well, in my experience.
I miss this man more than I miss my personal family members.
He was an endless fountain of smartassery, intelligence, and hilarious accuracy, every time he did anything.
So sweet seeing him like this 💖
I understand George completely! As always he's 100% right on the money!
This is so true of writing Poetry; and then years later finding it again and reading it and finding joy and happiness at something YOU did yourself.
The funiestbthing is writing something complex that pops into your head on UA-cam, forgetting what you wrote and finding again, and thinking, damn this guy gets it. lol
people like Mr. Carlin are the true leaders of mankind, no political agenda or standpoint, but wisdom and insight.
Considering how lucid and analytical he sounds here, it's amazing and depressing to think that he only had a month to live.
One of my all time favorite books. George explained it's principle brilliantly.... I too remember studying the book in the early 70's...The benefits have been a tonic to my growth personally and professionally.
I havent ever seen this interview. 👍
Yes
anyone know where I can find the start to finish version of this?
psycho cybernetics is a classic of the self-help psychology book genre. it was groundbreaking, i just started reading it. I can relate 100% to what he's saying because i do standup, but if you have no desire to write and perform it'd be hard to understand him here
I can relate to what he is talkin about
No you can’t
I fucking LOVE George Carlin

@mindstormsabrewin Answers: Because they own you. Yes. Yes. I agree.
:27-:40. "The Secret"?
Wow... The interviewer looks like he had absolutely no clue what Carlin was talking about.
F5 to skip adverts
@mindstormsabrewin Get adblock my friend! It's amazing. Google allows it to block their own UA-cam ads in their browser Chrome
@saprissa30 WHy? he's just sitting there;
I'd be be funny if the interviewers question was "How's it going"?
Atheists read all sorts of religious texts it is one of the main reasons we're atheists. Reading does not mean agreeing.
Google it.
@john17972 who? you or your father...hand joB!
Is that ironic that he read Ron Hubbard? He was an atheist right?
