Not one single dislike so far. (apr2011) But why? Because this man, my friends, is a real, real, role model. Listen to the things this man says, watch as many of his videos as you can, and don't just listen to what he says, analyze what he MEANS by what he says. He is an absolute genius, and takes the social aspect that I wish to obtain before I pass on. I've never really had a real role model, just athletes and idiots i suppose, but this guy IS THE REAL DEAL. Gone but not forgotten. RIP George.

I discovered Carlin a month before he died. It was a complete accident I found his videos, I was bored (I used to get bored in those days) and I typed "funny shit" into youtube, Carlin 'Religion is Bullshit' came up. That video cemented my thoughts on Religion, Carlin described the thoughts I had that I hadn't been taught to analyze. He has been the greatest teacher I've ever had and one of the most important steps to make me the person I am today. I wish he was still alive for me to thank.

I took the same path in 2014. I had never heard of him before. Once I saw the "Religion is bullshit" video, I was hooked. For the first time ever I felt like someone is articulating the thoughts I had for years.

Considering his lyrical output, its awesome to think of Georges's output being more than just the product of Academia...

@vertigogirl21 I agree, most of my dads friends who were "geniuses" have a really shitty life even though they had A+ grades. My dad never had straight A's but he became a really good medic and even studied in Mexico where his father had also studied and it proves that school dosen't really prepare you for life, it's just practical.

I'd just like to point out that *trying* to get a full education is still something that improves a person whether they can succeed in some areas or not. Still, I totally agree - look at Einstein's background.
