It’s still not too late to make this broadway show a reality. Someone who can come along, adored George Carlin and truly is inspired by him, gets him, can really make it work. Make it won’t be exactly how he wanted it but rather a homage/ tribute to him. We all miss him dearly.

That show would've been the greatest special HBO ever broadcast.

@NearVSMello ...Like he said, that he wants to honour his mother. I think it's more about his mother, the environment in which he grew up.

0:16 identity hook and that's fine that's probably to my benefit 0:33 to put together logistically and I could just snap my fingers and like I don't 0:40 mind writing it 00:46 Broadway show called New York boy which would be very different from anything 20 21 years World War Two in post-war New York City, infancy 1:42 mother didn't get home till 7 o'clock at 01:44 night I got out of school at 3 o'clock 01:45 I'd sneak onto the subway 02:10 were at odds during my adolescence that's only natural to be expected but she provided all of this for me

@freethinkerdangerous I believe his words were "only pinheaded criminal business pricks and politicians wrote autobiographies."
I don't think George Carlin wanted to call a book about his life anything as dry and mechanical as an "autobiography." Unlike businessmen and politicians, he had standards.

he'll be remembered more for "there is no god" than "seven words you can't say on television"
