I just love it when something you thought must be very difficult to learn turns out to be actually pretty easy. This is the gift of a good teacher - and thanks to Justin for breaking this song down in such a way that after only a little practice I've learned not only a haunting and lovely (albeit melancholy) tune, but a deceptively simple yet elegant intro. As a bonus, he invites everyone to just play improvised variations that strike one in the moment - being given permission to be creative is VERY empowering. He makes it all seem like no big deal, when actually it is. Not everyone has a clue how to do this - haven't we all had more teachers than we care to remember who made every lesson intimidating and inaccessible? A sincere thanks and hearty congratulations from this seemingly eternally intermediate student of guitar...

He techs amazing yes but there are things he can do better (the voice could be louder because the guitar is a bit to loud and a little mirror with some informations like in the part where he say what fingers to use, for some people its easier to see then to listen) ... dont take me wrong pls he is an amazing teacher and i never would give him thumb down, english is not my mother language but it still was easy to understand everything
Lenni Hahn None of those make the video deserving of a dislike, I'm sure he'd make an effort to improve those things if people simply suggested them politely rather than disliking.

I think people get frustrated when they can't quite learn what they want, in the time frame they want to learn it in. Everyone wants "RIGHT NOW" and when you have to practice and practice and not stop practicing, some people get frustrated then they will give thumbs down. Justin has helped me a lot and I'm very grateful he gives free youtube video lessons or I may not be where I am at the moment with my guitar playing.

This is soo good. And it's fun. The last days I went trough a lot of tutorials for this song but this one is far the best and I even learned the fingerpicking stuff from this tutorial though I'm still a total beginner. But it works. A good teacher and a lot of practice makes the difference. Thank you!

i found that during the verse and using fingerstyle, it sounds nice to play the D and A chord with the pattern thumb, 1, 2, 3, rest 1, 2&3(same time). to me it just sounds like part of the song. you're a great teacher btw justin :D
