Wright Stander ZK 72 Dual Wheel, 3 Reasons Why I Bought This Mower
Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 жов 2024
- 3 reasons why I bought a Wright Stander ZK 72 inch Dual wheel mower. The first reason being safety. I wanted a stand on mower so if you get into trouble you can just jump off. Second I wanted a mower that can do hills and banks well. With the dual wheel option I think this gives us the added stability that I was looking for. Lastly, I wanted something that was big and tough.

You can't go wrong with a Wright. Those are manufactured in my backyard of Frederick, Maryland. I drive by there facility almost daily , have always wanted to stop in there but never have. I think you'll love the mower.
... Glad you purchase it...
Great purchase !! I watch a guy in Texas that has a smaller Wright . He has had it quite a while & loves it. 👍👍
Good choice the Wright stand up are awesome I've had one for a while now and hills are no problem
That stander is a beast 👍🏻 good mower choice for the job ! Right tool for the job !
im woundering if they come in a 3 cylinder liqouid cooled kubota diesel engine optional
The 2019 Hustler Super Z HD is a Beast and built in U.S.A. Hesston, KS 7502.😀
Oh yea first 8-10 hours change oil @ 9.05 on meter. Been in shop more than I mowed with it 1st back yard completed 👍 the screw of right pump guess backed off draining all expensive Hydro fluid.
”2nd" time mowed close to 5 hours before Right blade came off unscrewed what was left of old truck as rest and park the Newer w/ac.cab quick hitch 3pt. And I'd be content for a few days
Sweet! Congratulations Brian! Good luck this season!
It's nice to see a business owner concerned about his employees safety, not just what an accident might cost them. I always enjoy your videos and your willingness to share your experiences good and bad. I know you will put the new machine to good use.
Thank you.
You made a great choice getting this mower, stander is definitely the way to go.
Appreciate it.
Top Notch Lawn Care do you still do ypur clients yards? And What year is the Walker MTGHS? And What Happened to the Walker Super B?
I miss that mower thing is a BEAST
Best 72 mower ever built!
Have had my Stander X 52” for 792 hours now and just changed the strings on the standing platform... They are built tough.. I am 285 pounds let me tell you they are built tough!
Congrats, I do love my Wright when its all functioning like it should. Nothing will even compare to it on hills etc. I have the 61" WZK. One thing I will say, mowing rougher terrain, find a way to get your hydraulic hoses moved away from the parking brake mechanics behind the engine. My hoses almost have a hole worn through them because as you bounce around they rub on the park brake "bar" that runs across there. I'm talking about the hoses that have the spiral wrap plastic stuff on them. Just a heads up!
You sure do like yellow!! I ride red but i think that was the smartest choice you could have made. Congrats man.
Nothing wrong with red either. I do have some red
Wright on Top Notch is 72" large and in charge. Enjoy you new productivity.
I was hoping you would buy it.
I don’t watch your channel often. I do remember when you first started doing UA-cam. You have grown so much...personally and in your business.
Your camera presence is a lot better than those awkward first years ;)
Wishing you the best this year!
appreciate the comment.
Good grief, wow! Yea, you did the right thing. Right machine for the jobs. Congrats!
Great video. Look into if your drone has 'tripod mode' which will smooth things out a ton during flight and limit speed (which makes smoother filming).
I'm not the best at the drone stuff but 30mph winds doesn't help.
Congrats on the new mower... Looks like a beast. Keep care of it and even if you don't keep your new large contracts your resale should still be up there....
Very true. Thanks
They had a ventrac 4500 at the 2019 county fair for $19300. Plus mower deck. However it had dual wheels also. Brand new machine. Good luck with the wright mower.
Glad to see that you made a good purchase for your new business direction. I think that it was a good choice for the direction of your new jobs this year.
You will not be disappointed. 👏👏👏👍
Used Ventracs come in around the same price as your standing mower...But still it is a pretty huge investment, plus any machine that operates on a hill can tip over regardless of design.. Probably better to , as you said, have a machine where you can step off and avoid serious injury.
Awesome mower, coolest one I ever seen
YEAH BOY. YOU A WRIGHT MAN NOW!! 😄 💪👏 Got to love that 0%. I got that with both my 52 and 36 Wright Intensity's
I love that mower!! Good buy!
Great choice for those types of accounts. Also seems like good value for the money compared to the other choices.
Love the Wright
best decisiom ive seen you make...i have a 61 n ita amazing
If i ever grow to the point i need a larger mower this is on my list to check out. Good luck man keep grinding.
I have a 37hp vanguard on my Ferris and love it
awesome looking mower-- looks like a TANK
Glad to see you made it to the Wright side!!! Looks awesome man. Get some!
best of luck with the new properties and mower, ever thought about using a pull behind mower? We have 8 acres here at our property and we purchased a 115inch ProMow pull behind reel mower for around $1300 about 5 years ago. We pull it around with our 700cc diesel artic cat atv, the reel mower cuts nearly as fast as we can safely pull the thing across the field. Its 3 reels wide, the outer 2 fold up for easy transportation. We mow all season with it and sharpen the blades about 2x a year, takes about 20 minutes with valvelash compound and an electric drill to turn the reel backwards.
Really good buy man! I’m really looking forward to videos with this mower in it!
Seems like you made the right choice. Since it’s for major Commerical property’s that aren’t fully for looks then I think you did good. I would be afraid if it weighs too much to leave imprints in the yard.
That's an amazing machine Brian, good choice.
Right On 👍🏻 Brian .... Great Purchase 🙂
Good purchase good engine
Great buy, that thing is a beast!
Thats a beast, also looks sick👍👍👍
Nice mower good choice
Gotta love the highway treasures off of Kellogg and west lol.
I already want one of those machines.
Diggin the NEW Mower, buddy.
Smart business owner. NEVER PASS ON THE FREE MONEY!!!!!!
as long that it does what you want it todo and it lasts thays all you need looks Cool.. Enjoy your new Toy.. have great one
Oh and I subscribed. Great content man. I'm a fellow lawn care foreman and I really enjoy your videos.
Appreciate that Kyle
Watch going off curbs hard on the wright the bolts that hold the wheel motor will shear after repeatedly coming down hard, ask me how I know!!lol
Congrats on the new purchase
EFI will be nice on hills. Carbs can have issues on steep grades.
Best luck to you.
Sweet mower!! Best of luck with it and your business this season👍👍
Thank you
One word.. Badass!
A safety thing on the Wright mowers is that if u forget to put the parking brake on on a hill it will slowly creep down it will not just go down the hill
They had one display in Cape Coral FL last week
Lmao it does suck a lot when your on a sit down and you constantly have to get up to grab something in your mowing path and then sit back down again hahah sucks a lot when it's consistently happening. But this mower man especially the price you got it for was a smart investment to your company. So I believe you made the right choice
That's why we use extended grab sticks instead ever getting off the mower. 👍
$11500, hell yeah!
Congrats on the new machine. Looking at those slopes etc, you made the right choice.
The Hustler 104 can be out cut by a 72 HD Super Z with flex forks etc and be used on more properties so Im glad you didnt go down that route.
The ventrac looks an awesome machine bt its a long tractor. The Stander will run rings around it! Ive also heard of over heating issues. It was a while ago I admit but still, with hills, clippings in the air etc comes heat.
Im glad you can still use the 12" wheels on that stander though. May never need them but always good for the option.
I cant wait to see it cutting 3 week rain soaked growth!
I still think you should put an OCDC on it though. Working around traffic, especially on highways, you need to be able to close the chute off when shooting towards the road or you'll get hit with insurance claims!
If I had access to Wright mowers, I think I'd get a 54" stander of some kind for mowing my own house!
Thanks Mick.I'm looking at getting a grass flap for it. I think that's pretty much the same thing.
Yep, just a way to open and close the chute on the fly. Operator Controlled Discharge Chute (OCDC)
You can make them pretty easily and cheaply. They get damaged so being able to replace parts is pretty important, just remember that!
Make sure you take some vid and review the grass flap. Have you contacted the manufacturers about it?
Wow! what a mower, cant go wrong with a wright lol
Awesome mower. I dont think you can go wrong. I have put 60 hrs on my JD " Which is pretty much a wright mower and love it. I went with JD over wright for dealer purposes. Great machines .Put a small trash can on the deck and get a grabber.
Definitely will be getting some grabbers. I like putting trash bags on the handles. Seems to work good for me.
Thats a monster mower
You bought it now that was a good buy right there

#switchingtoallwrightmowers
Looks awesome man! Been talking to Ed from Wright about getting some more of their mowers here in Australia
Standers are the best mowers
Congrats on the purchase Brian that is a cool looking mower
Thank you.
Your welcome Brian well starting mowing next week for me here can’t wait
Once you grow a little bigger it might be an option to buy a ventrac and have a dedicated landscape crew running it. You could then do mowing and landscape at the same time!
Congratulations
Good choice
i saw your walker purchase n i was like what is he dooiiiinnn
I think you did good. That's a lot of machine for 11k. Safety first.
Thanks man.
That's a nice mower. Do you think you could do more mowing videos
Congratulations. Your better off than the ventrac
That thing was made for you bro
Thanks man.
I have seen many buying this for around $14,500.00.
Then paying the maintenance gas cut guys only $55.00/day from 7 to 19. If it rain, no pay for the day.
I wonder how many acres you could do with two of those machines. Nice purchase.
That would be something. Maybe one day.
Badass mower man!!
Oh yeah monster. Nice hat
really considering one. I have 2 bobcat quick cats size 52 & 61 but I think having this 72 inch and a bobcat 32 inch would be an ideal setup for me.. good video and $1k add on for the dually.?!
What a beast. I’m very interested to see how that Vangard engine treats you.
Droning it! Love it!
I knew you would buy them brian
Sweet mower !
Can u put the link in the description plz! I really want one
I can certainly understand why you chose that mower. Seems like a great bang for your buck. If you can buy 2 or three of these, for the price of one of the 104's...I think you made the right choice. Does the dual wheel option cause more turf damage in the turns? I'm guessing so, but then again...its bought for wide open space mowing, so damage is probably minimal.
Dual wheels increase the footprint and decrease the pressure exerted on the turf... My thinking is it would actually reduce the damage... But I wouldn't know for sure.
I haven't noticed anything different. If your careful then no but if you want to whip it around then yes.
Nice man keep on working and maybe sometime u Can Get a ventrac 👍🏻
I got my eye on it!
Beach River Landscapes z3 ferris is awesome too
I do love my Ventrac but I can see the budget worry!
It's just to much money for what we are mowing. Trust me I would love one. Maybe one day.
Dam look at that wow 😮
Briggs n Stratton motor the best
Can you do a comparison video between the scag and wright cut quality and over all build
Brian I wouldn't trade my scag walk behind butiwanna try the scag stand on and see what it feels like but I have a bad back that I blew out in 08 but my son likes shifting on the fly and blew all my gears out of my walkbehind
you should have got a walker 74 inch deck
Awesome mower how do you like the mower
With accounts like the roadsides, I'm guessing downtime and delays are NOT an option. So my question is, when the Wright is down, (since you only have one), what's the backup plan for getting the work done?
36 exmark
Top Notch Lawn Care LMAO
Top Notch Lawn Care I have an extra 21 inch that you can barrow
I got a 16in. push reel if you wanna borrow it
I think a 72” Turf Tiger would have fit the bill also.
I just bought one, how is it going 6 years later?
Hm! The 37 vanguard without the Remote reservoir / filter option though? ? I would have DEFINITELY opted for that... Kinda thought twas standard on that engine option....
So how is the durability 1 year later?im sold on ferris for my needs but it will be good to hear your input
I will say this about the Hustler it's expensive. Hustler has been trying to get me to purchase for years. Cost just out weighs productivity.
Awesome 💪👊👏💯
thats badass
Bad ass. 👍🏽
