This video is mesmerizing and beautiful... My grandfather was a shoe designer and this brought back so many memories of his craftsmanship. Thank you for this.
Just beautiful. That leather is gorgeous. Love the brass rivets. The design is awesome. And like someone else suggested - it would make a wonderful purse/bag. Just LOVE this!
Fantastic! I know you don't really do instructional videos, but I seriously want to learn to stitch like you. It seems much easier than getting the pony out every time.
Gotta love Weaver. Chuck D is one of the main reasons I got interested in the craft again a few months ago. Really down to Earth fella. We're a Weaver shop. Little/Mighty Wonder, punch sets & boards, the whole kit and caboodle. =)
If you plan on using this kind of rivets in the future, I suggest investing in a nice ball-pein hammer. They're practically made for this exact job, and you can find one as small/light as you want.
Personally I would say WhatEVER hammer you want. The bag is gorgeous. Loved the "Sponsored by ". Please post this pattern soon I want to make one for my husband. Thank you in advance.
Nice and simple design, I like. You can get a really nice dimpled finish with a small ball hammer and lots of light taps. If you are careful, you can completely blend the peened shaft into the rove. Btw, if you were to cut the rivets out of this tool bag, you would see the shaft is bent. This offsets the head on one side. If you use a much smaller punch, or even just a round awl and make the hole as tight to the rivet as possible you will get better results. Also, you need a bit more thread tension on your stitching. If there was no glue those seams would walk around.
love all the leather work that you have done it's great. I have a favor... I'm afraid to buy leather online would you have any tips on how to do it please can you give as more detail as you can. Will greatly appreciate
just wow...i would like to start up in leather ..for that i really want to teach teach all plz give me some tips..you are bag Technics are amazing i enjoy it..
There is a brush attached to the cap of the glass bottle to use adhesive. It looks like nail polish bottles but bigger. The brush tip ( fibers or hairs ) is more dense than the nail ones. Where can I buy that? Thanks
Incredible work. Thx for sharing. Sub!! At 6:02, the bottom end is still open. Any video of how that bottom end came together? It looked like it nay gage been bent inside but didn’t see how the sides, bottom, corner came together. Thanks again.
Great job!!!! in the material list link appear 2 to 3 oz thickness of the leather but it look like thicker to me in the video, can you confirm me the thickness please? so nice to have you as teachers!!!!!
sigh... thanks, you just saved my day. and great that you have the weaver link for the tools and you also added more info in your description... so after watching this i will go back to anxiously watching the tracking of my grab bag shipment. i wish you a nice weekend. btw, great read about your work/business on ten things to learn.
Got to hand it to you on making great videos! Because of you, I got inspired to get in leathercrafting! Thank you! I hope you make more items and more great videos! Oh, and keep up the good work!👍
Are the side pieces joined to the bottom of the bag somehow or did I miss that? It looks like there's a gap where small items could slide out. Nice video, thumbs up!
They're riveted to the bottom :) Small items could slide out for sure, if you're worried about that you could always sew the bottom as well. I like rivets because they add a bit of structural strength for carrying heavier tools
I like the Ritza Tiger thread for most applications, its hard to make it tangle and it lays down flat. Good video. I use Weaver for most of my leather working stuff, they're the only ones who carry the Tiger thread in 50 meter spools, which is economical for me as I don't need the big 500 meter spools.
First I LOVE your work and you inspired me to make my first wallet a few weeks ago. Second please take the back end of your rivet setter to a bench grinder and take off that mushroom head before a piece brakes off and takes out an eye.
Bonjour, C'est toujours un plaisir de visionner votre travail et je vous en remercie. Serait-il possible d'avoir les dimensions approximatives de cet article ? Merci
Corter Leather: Great. Just out of curiosity, with your customizations do you guys make accessories for clients with other brands such as, the custom Louis Vuitton wallet you made and posted in your channel?
Hi Corter Leather! I have been a fan for a while now, and you’ve helped me with my leather hobby so much. I’m a Massachusetts resident too, and recently I’ve been selling lots of belts, tooled portraits and as of yesterday, my first messenger bag. I have a website but I’d love to watch you work sometime. Is your shop on the cape?
How did you attach the straps to the bottom? Overlap and rivet? Or is it that each strap end gets riveted? Thanks in advance for a response if you’re still responding here. Love that vids.
Great job as usual. See some new tools ((drooling)) I'd like to try. Not all are explained or accounted for in the Weaver link. Some kind of hole punch, what size?, what's the hammer looking thing, is that a nipper and a setter of some sort.
Yep! Rivet setter and hole punch, both available in different designs than we use on the Weaver site. The hole punch should match the post of whatever size rivets you're setting - they're all a bit different, if you go for a pop rivet or a solid rivet, even different sizes of each, it'll be different. Rotary punches are nice but stand-alone punches don't limit your distance from an edge as much, though we use both for different things. The nipper is just that, you can get those at the hardware store as that's not a leather-specific tool. I really like vintage solid-metal ones, but when you set a whole bunch the rubber grip helps with the bruising on your palms a bit more.
Not only your craftsmanship is superb but the camera work is also beautiful. I have greatly enjoyed watching this video.
Me too bro i wanna be a fuking craftman i wanna build make somthing now
Great leather tool bag or a badass purse. No frills or foolishness, just wonderful craftsmanship.
This video is mesmerizing and beautiful... My grandfather was a shoe designer and this brought back so many memories of his craftsmanship. Thank you for this.
With the right tools & supplies, anything is possible!! Excellent job!!!
Just beautiful. That leather is gorgeous. Love the brass rivets. The design is awesome. And like someone else suggested - it would make a wonderful purse/bag. Just LOVE this!
You know it smells so good in this workshop.
Fantastic! I know you don't really do instructional videos, but I seriously want to learn to stitch like you. It seems much easier than getting the pony out every time.
It is :) We'll do a full-on instruction video at some point, I promise!
You just made my dream bag! You say say "tool bag" I say "my dream purse!" LOL I love it! Beautiful craftsmanship!
Im sure if i buy that for my girl
Im a king for her.....
I've been waiting for a pattern for this tool bag. Are there any plans to include them in your shop?
Hey, are you planning to sell the pattern for this? It looks like a great bag!
It would be easy enough to draw up your own pattern. Or you could send Eric an email asking to purchase his pattern.
Are you going to post this pattern at any time soon would like to make this for my son in law.
Gotta love Weaver. Chuck D is one of the main reasons I got interested in the craft again a few months ago. Really down to Earth fella.
We're a Weaver shop. Little/Mighty Wonder, punch sets & boards, the whole kit and caboodle. =)
what a beautiful bag.
You make it look so easy. Love your videos.
Extremely satisfying watching...never did anything like this but now want to try
Nice work, as usual. Beautiful bag. Thanks for the video!
If you plan on using this kind of rivets in the future, I suggest investing in a nice ball-pein hammer. They're practically made for this exact job, and you can find one as small/light as you want.
yep, we set hundreds of rivets a week with this hammer - just prefer it to a ball peen :)
Admitedly, it's a sexy little hammer. Is it shop-made?
Personally I would say WhatEVER hammer you want. The bag is gorgeous. Loved the "Sponsored by ". Please post this pattern soon I want to make one for my husband. Thank you in advance.
Finally a person using a flat hammer when setting rivets. In my opinion, gives a much better finish then a rounded ball hammer. Great job!
yesssss, we agree!

I'm So in love! I just bought my "beginer set" for leathercrafting, can't wait to reach at least 5% of your level. Greetings from Poland :)

Is there a reason you cut the holes bugger than the rivets. I am curious.

Leather is such an amazing material! Loved watching - thanks for sharing your craftsmanship 👍
First video where the loud table gave me a splitting migraine.. So glad you've fixed it since this.
Another joy to experience! Well done!!!
Wow you are so talented! I really enjoyed watching this. Thanks
Bro, I want this bag but most of your stuff that I want isn’t in your website. This crushes me as I would buy it instantly!
shoot us an email or instagram DM, always open to make custom orders!
Corter Leather: I did not think you would reply. That actually sounds great, I would love a custom order. What is your email ?
of course! our website is corterleather.com, you can use the contact form there to get in touch :)

Yep! We're in Orleans :)
super! good job
I'm confused about this single need saddle stitch.. Any info? Is it non locking? Beautiful work!
My right ear is loving the hammering LOL
How did you attach the straps to the bottom? Overlap and rivet? Or is it that each strap end gets riveted? Thanks in advance for a response if you’re still responding here. Love that vids.
Ritza Tiger Thread comes in 4 sizes: 0.6mm, 0.8mm, 1.0mm, and 1.2mm. I was unable to see a size on the label. Which size are you using?
Stunning piece of work, congratulations!
Beautiful bag and another great video.

Superb workmanship and quality. Very impressive. How much does it cost to get one made?
fantastic work thanks for sharing it!
I would love to do some leatherwork but if I look at the prices of the raw shoulders it makes little sense
Beautiful work. I wish I could do this.
Beautiful.
Beautiful craftsmanship. I didn't see it on your website though. Did I miss it, or has it not been added yet?
Esta hermosa ese bolso...muy buen trabajo. Guauuuu..buen dia..
MY DREAM BAG ALSO. I WAS THINKING PURSE. NOT TOOL BAG. WHAT DO YOU CHARGE FOR THOSE???
Thank you for the amazing video.
very nice so beautiful, I like
very nice work love it. how thick was the leather
Awesome & supremely enjoyable video! Great guidance. I want to try this. Many thanks!
Wow! The elegance is out of this world and I love it. I gotta ask tho, who are these suckers hitting the dislike button?
Love it! Shared with my friend about the rivets and asked to see if it’s available in Singapore...now she wants this, but as her handbag!! Hmmmm
any tips on how to sharpen the edgers/ bevelers??? please help! mine seem to dull and it ruins my project!
I've been using Weaver's strop board for years and it keeps everything super sharp :)

That was oddly satisfying to watch...
Wonderful can i buy one
Looks like a few minor alterations and you'd have an excellent saddle bag.
