As soon as I saw this video pop up, I clicked my mouse so hard I thought I was going to break it.
Excellent work, as usual. Very inspiring and great insight into how you make such beautiful things. Your edge-work is outstanding and very detailed, thus proving why the end result is so good. I wish I knew where you get your leather from, so I could use the same great quality materials. All my local shops only carry what could be called "mid-grade" leather. Nothing as clean or as high quality as what you use.
Thank you very much for sharing your art and skills.

If there's a distributor in your region, quality materials could be supplied.
But, it is the only base or infrastructure of our works not the whole part of the works.
So, I hope you can keep trying hard to achieve great work with the leathers you can supply.
One day, I think you can express the artisan spirits with your works and have the opportunity with top-notch materials eventually as I did.

Beautiful craftsmanship, I just got recommended this video in my feed, and I'm glad to found this. A tiny constructive critics if i may, if you use smaller aperture settings in your camera, the out of focus shot like 9:13 can be minimised, especially since you have to move around when crafting smaller things. But overall this is such a calming video!

    • @AtelierSANGBLEU
      @AtelierSANGBLEU  Рік тому

      Thank you so much🤗🙏🏻
Oh, for the aperture, I usually fully open them because that is not a bright lens(kit lens).
If I lower down the aperture, I get noisy results because I should raise up the ISO😭.
So... I'm considering some other prime lenses for my camera for the better aperture level and fast focusing 😭

    • @AtelierSANGBLEU

      Sorry, we cannot count them.
Just depends on the surface of the leather and the article of the leather, all are different.
Edited video shows really few layers but in reality, we do it over at least 5 and after that, until satisfied which means we add more than 10 layers when we need to perfect the edges.

What do you think about the current style of leather goods making between countries?
Here I am only referring to small utensils, not clothes or shoes.
Europe has a luxurious style, high perfection, but the design is simple, the companies make similar products, so it is easy to cause boredom....
Although the Japanese are a land of handicrafts, their leather goods tools are very famous, but their products I find practical,Finishing is good but it doesn't have the beauty of art.
Your country is also very famous for leather goods making tools (Palosanto, KS Blade ...) but leather goods products are similar to Europe
The vintage style of the Americas is rough, simple finishing but disruptive and creative, Sometimes it's not handy but it has many models to choose from, it has an iconic and open demeanor in the history of the leather industry. Have you ever thought about creating a product that combines perfectly with the above styles or not.
A wallet with small, sophisticated stitching with linen thread, French chrome-tan leather and Italian veg-tan leather, for example, you can coordinate colors that are disruptive, large buckles, or even a skull buckle, a chains wrapped in soft French leather, a special type of wallet opening and closing, rusticism on veg leather (buttero, maya, pueblo........) or wax and shell cordovan leather- alligator, crocodile skin. Everything will be mixed together to create a new style..

You have great insight into leather goods worldwide.
Truth is, I've already mixed things from other countries and the outcome is what I've designed.
When I started to design our own, my goal was to gather the positives from other countries and not sacrifice any purity of art & design with practicality.
I majored the industrial design and already learned that great and timeless designs are all about taking away unnecessary virtuosity.
So I never added other themes or unnecessary lines to my minimal & luxury designs and started to add up the art of handcraft.
So many tests and trials have been done with so many leather articles out there and found out the leathers we are using, and designs, are the most suitable for the people who want leather goods that are luxurious & classic yet contemporary as well.
I think this is just my style and design language.
Over my design language, mixing some random stuff could be a misfit for my works. (so... I guess more adding to my works could be a poisonous effect)
So I'll just keep doing My design as my artwork with my answers to the world "independently" from my country's stereotype.
Plz, stay tuned for the upcoming and future artworks that I will design;)

Not much reason to watch a video of a leather clutch being made if you're not going to share or sell the pattern. Why watch? Nonsensical.

    • @AtelierSANGBLEU
      @AtelierSANGBLEU  Рік тому +5

Then, you can go to the free pattern-sharing content out there.
But, as a Designer, designs are a priceless property and not a piece of free information.
      That's why the copyrights exist.😓
Our designs are developed as gorgeous and functionally close to perfection as possible by a real designer who graduated with an art & design degree.
So, we never share our gorgeous designs for free just for the view counts.
For the priceless assets, free share? Nonsensical.
Could you ask for the design copyrights and patterns for free from the other French luxury brands' ad videos of making? Nonsensical as well.

This is not a tutorial, so why should he share/sell patterns? It's of course interesting for potential customers to see some behind the scenes clips of the process.
