For this project, I make a handmade leather bag without stitching and without a laser cutter! When I decided to make this leather bag, I wanted to show some layout techniques and also show you how to make a leather bag constructed with rivets only!
There will be a voiced over video on the weaver leather channel later this week: / weaverleatherllc
"We don't need stitches with this simple trick. Watch!"
*adds more rivets than any german tank ever had*
I love it! It looks terrific!
Regards,
Etna
😝😝
I'll take working with rivets over stitches any day! Way easer to make them look nice :D
@@NotChar Faster too. I like leatherworking, but stitching is by far my least favorite part.
This video sure brought back a ton of good memories of Junior High School industrial arts class! Leather work was my favorite part of that experience. The welding and woodwork were fun as well. I still have that cutting board - LOL.
Thank you Jimmy...
Jimmy, so good to see you back to analogue projects. I've been inspired by your channel since your basement in NYC... Thanks, bud!
FYI: Our grandson is entering high school metal fabrication training. I encouraged him to watch you, a Master of many trades. We are sure he will be watching with great interest and find the confidence we know he has in himself. This is going to be another step to a successful transition to work after graduation. Something every youngster needs to look forward to. Thank you. Steve Foley, Plymouth, MA
Beautiful bag. I want one. It’s a work of art. Would last for generations.
Mr. Diresta. You are amazing. You are a inspiration. Thank you for everything you do.
Such a great build Jimmy! That thing will last for generations.
That leather beveler is the most satisfying thing ever
I love all the fancy cnc made stuff, but its the hand crafted items that I love.
Seeing you make something awesome with nothing but basic tools we can all own is what your channels about to me. Ps hope all your animals are doing good
Love the dark leather with copper rivets... also liked how you used only hand tools!
Leather is a very satisfying material to watch, all the cutting, punching holes etc. :)
So, incredibly talented!!!
Amazing craftsmanship.
The copper rivets are a cool look, reminiscent of Levi’s jeans.
How many rivets do you need??
Diresta: YES
The Maestro at work.. Perfectly practical bag, perfectly executed.
Looks great. I like how you used the wood spacers to glue up the sides using weights. Easy solution.
Love it, it reminds me of the tool bag my dad has that the saddler at the mine made for him back in the day
Right up there with Versace! I love copper so I dig the rivets, nice piece, great job.
Jimmy, as always your work is super inspiring. I’ve been avoiding some leatherwork for a big cleaver I made a ways back. This video gives me the push I need to get it done. Today!! Thanks so much for sharing your craft. - B. House
I love when you do leather projects. I’d love to try my hand at it.

I think your Yorkshire terrier will fit in perfectly 👌 Nicely done.
Really really clever. Well done!
Dude. Always innovating. Love this project. The look is awesome.
That's a great looking bag!!!
As a scaffold building carpenter in USS Gary works we used laugh at the mill guys with their purses (they were actually pretty nice tool bags). But this, this is beautiful!
Seriously I hope that you don't ever consider this your job. Jobs are boring and dull. I'm sure you understand what a blessing you have. Wonderful skills and craftsmanship as always, thank you
It’s a very well made bag, I think it looks great.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work!

Love how the little window for sponsor's ads didnt spoil the precious contents.
Very nice design, really like the copper rivets!
Love your content! Binder clips for that glue up make things easy peasy.
Nice bag. Vintage and actual at the same time. Probably all wives would want one like that.
Leather really was the plastic of the old world.
Can you imagine what material is gonna replace plastic in the future world? ^_^
@@Cabeza492 Probably something to do with carbon like carbon fiber, nano tubes, and graphene.
@@Cabeza492 leather? XDD
Love this bag so much
Muy bonito bolso, felicidades por tú gran trabajo, saludos cordiales desde Barcelona, Spain !!!

Дякую Джиммі. Ти найкрутіший!
Nice big bag to see what's inside. Toward the end, the other bag in the background looks even more versatile (and "stylish"). Thanks for the vid. Cheers, David.
Jimmy made the other bag on the Weaver Leathercraft channel.
Bravo jimmy sei insuperabile
Beautifully done 👏
He makes it look so easy.
I love the aesthetic. Interesting choice on the placement of the end pieces. Most people would have put them in the opposite orientation. Great job as always.
There's less stress on the join this way, I'm betting.
Brilliant work
So awesome! I like that it has no stitching!
Very nice! Flashback from boy scouts learning leatherworking. Nothing on that level though! Keep making and inspiring! Love your work!
Loved the punch! That sucker must be really sharp. Beautiful work🌟

Mais um lindo trabalho Jimmy.... Parabéns!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful workmanship, and damn fast, too!!
Loved it!
Jon
Sorry to break it to you, but he intentionally speeds up his videos most of the time. ;-)
@@AHustleIsLikeASideOfFries Little known fact -- he always shows his builds slowed way, way down. He tried recording at actual speed, but it all became a blur and the videos were always too short to publish.
You work leather like a metal worker, and that’s a good thing hahaha. Reminds me of a leather version of a classic construction tool box
Honey, don’t be starting with the leather bags now...Coach, Prada, DIRESTA! Love it!
That is so cool... Thank you for another great video :D
Perfect jimmy!
Love your work mate!
Dave from Bris Australia
Great project, love the video.
This was riveting!
