I just finished making my own laptop case today, I got the vast majority of my tips and tricks from this channel. Thank you for sharing your skills with us all, I've learnt so much from this channel.
I think having the list of tools and materials that you use for a project show up on Weaver’s site is brilliant. I didn’t know who Weaver was until I “found” you guys. I have sent spent almost 200 USD on my new hobby and most has been thru Weaver. Got my first pair of “shoulders” today. What a joy. Thanks for the videos.
i just made mine for my laptop, with a beautiful brown-red-ish leather with this design. It's so beautiful i'm so proud! Thank you for this video!and i love the channel! keep it up!
Another one of your masterpieces I’d wish Preston Soto would swoop in and burnish and polish ❤️❤️❤️. Not that it needs it, I’m just geeking out on the leather love 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I know this is an old video but I was wondering about how much extra clearance you made from the measurement of the laptop? I have about 5 oz crazy horse leather I am wanting to use to make this for my laptop
May I ask how much of a stitching margin you used around the laptop. How do you generally figure that out? Is there a way to calculate how much extra margin to add around the size of any object to ensure the perfect snug fit and would it work on items like Apple wireless headphone cases or other items you want a snug fit for?
I'm curious if you have given thought to the pressure that snap is going to place on the screen behind the apple logo. I've had the screen on my 13" replaced because the screws that hold the logo on the inside of the lid put pressure on the screen and burned a kind of circle with 4 dots. Just general wear and tear in my bag caused that. I wonder how it will fair with that snap always there.
How did you convert the vertical thickness of the computer into the size of the case? Did you add "seam allowance' or extra material to allow for the thickness? How much to add?
yep! just measured the thickness, cut that number in half and add it to the outside seam. It's a rough estimate, we always add a bit extra so the laptop isn't too tight in the case
Nice case. May I ask, when measuring, do you take into consideration the thickness plus extra for the stitching? Want to make a case to fit Ipad 7th Gen. Thanks
Super cool organization station from Weaver. Been drooling over that for a bit. Don’t you just LOVE when you get a box with a beautiful side of leather inside?! It’s like Christmas and your twelve. Nice magic trick with the needles 😉 🤗 That turned out SO beautiful! Y’all are just crazy talented. Thank you for sharing.
I don't know why I came across this. video in my recommendations and not doing my homework, but for some reason, I really love this video. It was relaxing and it actually made me happy.
Do you seal your vegtan leather with anything or does it just stay plain old vegtan with nothing on it? I would think that without some kind of sealer it would stain, even with just water, very easily! What would you suggest to use if you did use one? (Sorry for the edit. I didnt know you could strikeout text!)
Your work and videos are incredible. Unsure if you read these, but you really produce quality content and I get a lot of relaxation and enjoyment out of watching them. Hope you keep it up.
Sorry if you replied already - could you kindly share the patterns / Measurements to do this at home? I'm learning leathercraft and would love to try to create (an ugly) version of this! :)
I really love your work. it's so relaxing to see your video and your attention to the detail. I love it. And you always make it simple, no carving, just the like I like it!
Great video as always. The link takes me straight to 2-3oz leather, but my hunch is that it's more like 7-8oz. I know it's more than a year since you published the vid, but can you shed a little light on that? Thanks.
What size thread and needles you use? I ordered some john james 002 and 004, and have 5mm prongs aswell as your weavers. What size thread you swear by?
i just found your channel i like your leather work. i am in the process of making one similar to this one. yours turned out very nice.a question did you put a finish on your leather. i am used to staining the leather with a top finish but i like to keep it like yours. thanks
Excellent... i love it. but may i ask that how much is weight after finish and what it's the the measurements of this case? i mean, how much centimeter you need totaly at first? i have vegetable tanned cow leather about 4mm thickness, 33 cm x 50 cm. is it enought to start for making this? thanks...
Nope! I personally like to use my stuff for a couple months before I use any oil or wax for a more contrasty patina, I'll do Fiebings Mink Oil then Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP after a couple months of use
Man I get so excited to get notifications that ya'll have put out a new video.........if I could stop what I was doing and watch it I would! I would also be looking for a new job the next day.......love your work! Christmas presents....HELL yea!
I like your clip video so much.l have a few question that I'm looking for burnish machinery on this clip. It looks professionally. Colud you suggest me to buy it ,please? And What's the brandname of the machine. Big thanks ,dear.
Thank you so much for not adding any horrible music.
Hahahahahhahahahah
YEEEESSSS
Yes! I agree 200%.
this was incredibly relaxing to watch, and the end product turned out beautiful! I would love to learn how to do such amazing work!
The best way is to purchase yourself some manuals by the Great Al Stohlman..No lie
Most i like about your craftsmanship is the Design. Most elegantly simple.

Genius. I absolutely love this style of video, I know how long it must take you to edit, so huge thanks for both creations! 😊❤️

Please sive us an update on your new craft T Toad?
respect for hands stitching that entire thing.
Thanks for sharing this build. Since you didn't apply any stain, I'd be interested to know how the case has aged (patina) after a few years.
i just made mine for my laptop, with a beautiful brown-red-ish leather with this design. It's so beautiful i'm so proud!
Thank you for this video!and i love the channel! keep it up!
that magnetic needle magic trick was unexpected but appreciated haha
Recessing your stitching adds to an already beautiful creation
Never skipped any ads when i am watching your videos, hoped that the revenue from the ads will go into your channel too !
Can you film how do you finish off sewing? before burning its head of off do you tie a knot?
High-quality shooting, flawlessly made product, and with elements of humor)) Bravo!
The ambient sound is so freakin relaxing. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Always thank you for splendid animations. I look without getting tired.
I support you from Japan.
Thank you to share with us. any idea how thick the leather is in MM? thanks
Another one of your masterpieces I’d wish Preston Soto would swoop in and burnish and polish ❤️❤️❤️. Not that it needs it, I’m just geeking out on the leather love 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
this is so relaxing, i think it can really help to calm my anxiety. thank you
Very nice, could you incorporate a pouch or deeper gusset to allow the PSU to be carried with the Macbook?

Politically Speaking I was thinking the same think. That cigarette lighter cover looks really snug. Don’t know if this one was moulded.
Bravo! I love how you put together this video! Style and silence and astonishing!
What's the rule of thumb for the cut leather size when you know the width, depth and thickness of the laptop? Does the leather gauge come into it?
I feel like I’m not alone in wishing you would do a video tutorial on your stitching method
we will one day!
What type of leather you are using in this case please ?
Magnifique objet! Et quel joli cadeau on pourrait faire. Une pochette pour la vie...
You are a champion, great products. Respect 👏🏻👌
Simply gorgeous; delicate leather piece; I wish to have one like that, thanks for sharing with us
Very nice video
how thick is the natural vegetable tanned leather
Also what size snaps are those
I was wondering what kind of contact cement are you using?
I'm curious if you have given thought to the pressure that snap is going to place on the screen behind the apple logo. I've had the screen on my 13" replaced because the screws that hold the logo on the inside of the lid put pressure on the screen and burned a kind of circle with 4 dots. And of course great video.

The shots of this video are amazing. You did an incredibly awesome job wow.
Where do you get your custom buttons with your logo
very professional, there is no art anymore
Simple & modern & want
Your toolbox is sick. You just inspired me to weld a thing like that and make a iPad case ;) thx brother!
Nice case. May I ask, when measuring, do you take into consideration the thickness plus extra for the stitching? Want to make a case to fit Ipad 7th Gen. Thanks
Thank you very very much👌
This seems pretty cool. I'm inspired thanks to you. Never stop doing what you love
Beautiful craftsmanship. 🤩🥰
Hey man I don't see this on your site, will this be available for purchese for a 2018 macbook pro 13" anytime soon?

Thank you for sharing this. I had a quick question. How much extra space do you leave from the edges of the laptop to allow for a snug fit?
I was also wondering the same thing. Would love to know the dimensions of the actual cut leather. Great video.
I don't know why I came across this. video in my recommendations and not doing my homework, but for some reason, I really love this video. It was relaxing and it actually made me happy.
Aaaaaaaah, my relaxing bedtime movie. Cool magical needle trick editing👌🏼✨ Love this piece!
personally i always start the beginning and i wake up hearing more his work that's better than the asmr
Do you ever need to sharpen those irons?
Sweet, asmr and leather goods... life is complete
I would love to have an in depth tutorial on how to do that nifty stitch!!
Do you seal your vegtan leather with anything or does it just stay plain old vegtan with nothing on it? I would think that without some kind of sealer it would stain, even with just water, very easily! What would you suggest to use if you did use one? (Sorry for the edit. I didnt know you could strikeout text!)
Just curious how would you adjust the measurements if the laptop were thicker?
why am i watching this right now

what weight of leather is that?
Amazing job
Where did you pick up your Metal Hammer with the nail puller handle?
Is this available to purchase on your website?
Got me that Hender Scheme vibe. Awesome work!
Do you use a finish or let it wear naturally with oils from your hands?
we let it wear naturally, but you can oil it too!
@@Corter I like the natural look.
where did you get that big piece of leather?
I see the force is strong in you... 5:37 Gave me a good laugh!
I really love your work. it's so relaxing to see your video and your attention to the detail. I love it. And you always make it simple, no carving, just the like I like it!

what kind of leather is this?
Veg tan
What is the thickness of the leather?
lovely work
Amazing as usual. But where did you make the snap button with your logo? Thanks ...
Great job. Beautiful result
Your ability to free hand rounded cuts is amazing. When I try to freehand mine, they look like they were done by a Michael J. Fox on Adderall 🤣
Great video! I would suggest opening up that aperture a tad more though
might be a depth of field thing ... ?
i just found your channel i like your leather work. i am in the process of making one similar to this one. yours turned out very nice.a question did you put a finish on your leather. i am used to staining the leather with a top finish but i like to keep it like yours. thanks
