He's sooo cute!!! I've always loved frogs of all species. Ironically, I do not have live animals, but collect all types of frog figurines, have a large collection, mostly vintage ceramic pieces and cast iron doorstop and advertising frogs, some almost a century old.
So kool to give a pet a real place to live and breath wow awesome ,cant wait to see the world the Gardener Queen shall create🤗

I’m sure you know but hold some of the isopods and springtails back so you can breed them and have backups in case of a crash with your cuc. Great vid

be careful with the springtails, I had an infestation in my carpet last summer!! they're harmless but annoying to get rid of once they get set up

i’ve been looking at josh’s frogs for crested geckos and i was wondering if you or anyone else bought a crested gecko from there, and if so how was it?
Gabby Neff I actually haven’t and I’m not sure I know anyone else who has either. However, I do know that they captive breed all their own animals and I’ve had nothing but great experiences with them and their animals.
Does anyone know how to get rid of gnats. I have an infestation. My hermit crabs are causing the problem. With their very high humidity and substrate (eco earth) the gnats lay eggs constantly. I probably will end up rehoming then. :-) I have tried so many traps commercial and homemade. This has been going on since February. Please help!

I suggest changing the substrate too and maybe even putting sticky traps inside, just away from the hermit crabs? If you don’t see any gnats, maybe setting different types of traps elsewhere and clean the drains with enzymatic/ foaming cleaner as they could if settled there:) I had this issue too when I had frogs I had moth flies and they were a pain
Best substrate for hermits is a 5-1 mix of play sand and eco earth. This will hold their tunnels better than eco earth alone. Try switching enclosures with the new substrate and remember to remove uneaten food that they may have dragged off their plate. You should see an improvement, I’ve been keeping hermits for a little over a year and haven’t had any issues with gnats!😊
Reptitan888 oh no! I have 2 hermit crab tanks and do not have a gnat problem. Are you removing uneaten food the following day?

Brianna Gustovic I actually got her from a local pet supplies on the off chance that they had one. Other than that, they can be kind of hard to come by. I look for local breeders at NARBC. I know there are some breeders of them in California too. It’s why I want to start breeding Bowie! They can be hard to find!

Why do you get stuff from josh frogs
I wanted to comment to see if anyone could give me some insight. I got a Pacman frog last year in around August from a not so reputable place. The first few months he was great; he ate well and was fairly active. But come October/November time he hid away and stopped eating. He has remained buried all this time and has only surfaced a few times, and has not eaten. He has a temp gradient of around 26C hot end and 21C cool end, the hot side drops a few degrees at night. He always has access to fresh water in a bowl and his enclosure is sprayed down regularly. He's in a bioactive set up, too. What am I doing wrong? He is still alive but getting thin :(
Bethie Elle I’m currently going through the same problem although mine isn’t losing any weight. She has remained the same weight even after 4 weeks of refusing to eat. It is a concern though when they start losing weight so possibly try to get him or her to the vet?
@@jackiexx4380 He has started to eat again! So far he has had 3 meals. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he continues to eat.
Bethie Elle awe that’s so good I’m glad! Mine has only eaten one tiny cricket and I offered her more after but she wouldn’t take it. I’m not sure why some Pac-Man frogs just refuse to eat sometimes! It’s so stressful and concerning but apparently they do this often?

Are these frogs named after the video game? You strike me as someone who has countless different kinds of frogs so you could get a maze and put a Pac-Man frog in it and four frogs that belong to another species and name them after the four ghosts and watch them as they're jumping around in the maze. If Pac-Man gets tagged, you pick him up and place him back to where you originally had him. Now you could do set something up in each corner of the maze, assuming you'd use one with four sides and set them up in the corners of the maze. You can have it set up so that when Pac-Man gets one of the power points, he gets a couple minutes to jump around; and you remove any of the other frogs if he tags any. After the time's up, you turn the all the frogs loose in the maze again. Tag just means touching the other frogs, not bumping.
