The rams scare me. Not cause of the damage we can do but how inconsistent they are. It’s almost like Stafford plays to the strength of his opponents whether good or bad.
The Cowboys/Eagles loss was even worse than that. It wasn't just getting lit up by a backup QB. They got lit up late by a 3rds string QB as Tanner McKee saw his first play of his career after Pickett got a couple of hard hits. And McKee threw for 2 TD's. Enough to beat the Boys all by himself.
as a Jags fan, while we did mess up our draft pick, i am beyond excited for BTJ and i am looking forward to seeing what he can do next year. best rookie WR imo
Jags don't need to get a QB, so they will still have a very good chance to get a good player wherever they land in the draft order. It's the Giants and Raiders who probably are crying the most about the wins.
Jarod Mayo needs one more year. I know there are tons of haters out there, but he’s been given a raw rookie QB, a young underperforming wr room, a iffy at best o-line, and an underwhelming defense aside from a few players.
My biggest takeaways as a Dolphins fan is Miami had more yards in penalties (94) than rushing yards (74) in the game. Miami need to start improving their discipline on the field, so many drives were stalled out by long 3rd downs due to penalties on earlier downs.
I don't understand what's happened to your rushing attack. The run is the centerpiece if that offense. Despite all the high flying passing plays and motions and play action that get the highlights, schematically that entire offense is built around the run and it's like Mike McDaniel has forgotten how his own offense works.
915 yards for Mike Evans this year, it’s gonna be really close if he keeps that consecutive 1000 yard season dating back to 2011 being the last time he had a non 1000 season. Talk about consistency Update: my bad forgot to say that only season being a year in high school before going to Texas A&M
I’m not convinced whatsoever Ladd would be as good with the Patriots. They have shown time and time again they cannot develop or utilize receivers correctly.

@skollin.and.rollin I don't want to hear that. The game is never finished until the final quarter. For the Seahawks I think we have the right guy for head coach but I do have questions and concerns about our offensive coordinator, general manager, and maybe special teams coordinator. Grubb I don’t think he should return as OC next season. For John Schneider I don’t think he is on the hot seat but he has to do something about the interior offensive line this offseason otherwise he’s probably going to lose his job at the end of next season.
I don't 100% agree; I have trouble calling Grubb a bust after 1 season, particularly with this O-line. I think of it in terms of how I look at rookie QBs, you have to let them learn the NFL system for a year, and you have to give a modicum of grace for trying to learn the NFL while working with a garbage line. He should maybe be on thinner ice, but I don't want to write him off yet. Meanwhile, I have more issues with Schneider, seeing as he has never been able to put a half decent o-line together, and when you look at our skill players we should be able to have a pretty dominant offense but we can't block for our running backs meaning Geno has to constantly sling it and ultimately end up in risky situations. I'm curious about what we do in the off season, but Schneider better be aggressive about getting our o-line set or he should be on the hot seat.
Ngl I think I do a REALLY good job of leaving my fan bias out of it especially given we are 14-2, but I didn’t do that intentionally and appreciate the correction
As a delusional Cowboys fan, you are great at keeping your bias out of it. I still wont admit that the eagles are superbowl contenders 😂@FootballAnalysis1 1

Im so frustrated with my Broncos our defense was lookong good with 3 goaline stops and 7 sacks. Our offense was able to score when needed as well. But we lost the game because of Sean Paytons hortoundous play calling. He kept calling short RB passes or screens which failed. The offense only succeeded when Bo threw longer checkdowns or deep shots. I still dont know why Sean didn't go for 2, and his play calling for OT was poor.
Need to see what the opportunity cost of keeping tyreek would’ve been for Mahomes and the Chiefs… would he be in a position similar to Burrow this year w crazy stats but a bad defense if they lost the likes of Chris Jones and Mcduffie
I'm a Jets fan and even I k ow that's a stupid move for the Patriots. They're literally in year 1 of a fulls ale rebuild. You don't fire the coach in that scenario
I'm a little confused on the Packers take. The Vikings dominated that game. Love looked hapless for most of it. The run game abandoned them. It wasn't until Minnesota took the foot off the gas and went full prevent safe mode that they scored two garbage time touchdowns to make it feel kinda close. Concerning.
I didn't get to see the full fourth quarter, but, I did come away from that game feeling that the Vikings were the better teams. They kept making the plays that the Packers couldn't.
In both games against the Vikings, the Packers never had the ball with the opportunity to tie or take the lead late. Really not as close as the final score made them look
@@blueleader392 Yup. Coincidentally, I'm listening to The Athletic Football Show's assessment as I read this & it was a combination of three things. 1) Flores. He threw the Packers a curve-ball. 2) The curve he threw was to go to man defense. Love is 34th of 38 QBs with enough of a sample size against man coverage. Between that & this being Totally Unexpected, this worked. 3) No one's gonna like me saying this but Matt Lafleur has one really bad tendency: it takes him way too long to adjust when things go like this. When he's caught off-guard the first thing he does is start yelling: at the refs, his players, the air if no one's around. After that he fumes. After that he doesn't cool down. After _that,_ he starts making changes. If he could learn to skip 1 or 2 of those steps, they'd adjust more quickly. & in a 2-pt game like this, that could do wonders.

Tough loss from Green Bay 1 thing I’ve noticed from all but 1 of their losses, most have come to the last second, I’m not worried about them at all, and they get all their starters back next week + wild card weekend.
@ other than the first lions loss, they’ve only lost by less than a FG to all, yes unfortunately they’ve lost all, but they are staying in the games and are a penalty and field goal away from winning each time
I wasn't watching the game too closely but it did feel like the packers had a bunch of drops. They need the wr group to clean those up if they're gonna make a run
Panthers are still looking good for the future. They were on their 4th string running back , back up right tackle. Practice squad players just called up to start at linebacker and safety. This was a tank game with most good players shut down already. Bryce looked great. Pressured on 67% of dropbacks highest of the season by any team.
That makes me feel a lot better about today’s loss… as much as I hate the Vikings and Lions, it’s definitely a lot more fun to see a competitive nfc north for once
Panthers offense is definetly playing more than just good, the defense in other hands seems terrible, in both players and scheme, the receivers are being average at most tho
@@Radman1889 I was thinking about that, as well. The thing is Dan Campell seems to prefer keeping his starters in and keeping them battle-tested. He did that last year in the last game against the Vikings; LaPorta got injured, but the Lions won two playoff games. You could debate either case, I suppose.
To be fair, the Texans lost tank dell and Stefon diggs to gruesome injuries and those were their two best receivers in an slow season for stroud and Collins 🤦🏾♂️
My takeaway is that it really might be time for the Steelers and Tomlin to part ways. Them being on a never ending loop of 9-8/10-7 seasons isn’t getting them anywhere, and hearing from national media and non-Steelers fans constantly say, “he’s never had a losing season”/“other teams will immediately fire their HC to get him”/“you’ll never get anyone better”/“all he needs is a QB” for the past few years is exhausting. If other teams really are interested, why don’t they inquire about trading for him (since Sean Payton set the precedent a few years ago)?
Payton didn't set the precedent. Several other coaches have been traded in NFL history before him, including Parcells, Holmgren, and Bellichick. The Bucs have done it twice, and both led to SB titles in that coaches' 1st (Gruden) or 2nd (Arians) season.
12:18: The Eagles beat them with TWO back up quarterbacks. Kenny Pickett got hurt and third stinger Tanner McKee came in and threw TWO TOUCHDOWN PASSES against the Cowboys first string defense.
As a Chicago fan I’m insulted that you said Mariners beat the Cubs when they actually flashed the graphic of the M’s beating the White Sox by the same score(6-3) this season. The same White Sox who set a record for losses in a 162 game season 😜
As always, great analysis. I have some questions about the Panthers’ draft. - Who would you take in the first round if you were the Panthers GM? In my opinion I’d take EDGE or DT first to add depth to pair with DB, Shaq, and others once they are healthy. Run defense has been awful and we need a stud pass rusher. I’d personally take Abdul Carter or Mason Graham. What do you think? - If those two are off the board for us, who else could we take in those defensive categories? Who out of Pearce Jr., Williams (UGA), etc should we think about? - The Panthers might end up selecting CB Will Johnson and I wouldn’t mind having him paired with Jaycee Horn (whose injury luck, amazingly, has not been bad this year). I wouldn’t take this route but if we do end up using our first rounder on the Wolverine, how should we address EDGE and DT in the later rounds? - Some people have us picking Arizona’s WR TM in mock drafts, but I wouldn’t take this route based on the defense-based needs that should be addressed. Where can we potentially add a stud receiver in this draft and who should we think about in the later rounds?
Lamar Fraudson is like Tony Romo. A put big numbers during the regular season, choke in the post-season QB. Long as he is in Baltimore, I don't see the Ravens getting back to the big game.
Bro, they been doing that for the past 10 yrs. Its the reason why they have stunk for the past 15 yrs. They continue to stink, yet, get a win or two late season against teams who simply took the game off or are sitting out their starters to get rdy for the playoffs. They have consistently picked top 10 and still suck
From the moment Rodgers became a Jet, I knew and said and wrote that it would be a disaster. But I got called all kinds of names by Jets fans who answered all my predictions with, "Super Bowl Bound!"
@ I was one of the very few Jets fans that had tempered expectations heading into this year because well...we're the Jets. I HATED the Rodgers move when we made it, I wanted them to bring in Derek Carr at the time (who also sucks but at least you didn't have to trade draft picks for him). Now we're staring down the hole of yet another rebuild, Sauce and Breece have regressed significantly do you hand them extensions? Garrett Wilson wants out if you don't get rid of Rodgers but you also don't pick high enough to get a good QB (Sanders and Ward) so do you keep Aaron and risk Wilson not playing for you who is a key cornerstone of your team moving forward? Do you give Jordan Travis a go in 2025 if you move off Rodgers? What coach and GM are gonna want to work for Woody Johnson after the mess of this year? Like we're truly in one of the WORST situations right now and I'm just so over it. This season has made me question wanting to be a fan of the Jets going forward more than any year since we last made the playoffs in 2010 and that's saying something because we had a year where we were 0-14 with a chance at Trevor Lawrence and RUINED IT.
How was Sean Payton out coached? The Bengals scored the go ahead TD with over a minute left instead of running the clock down and kicking a fg. Taylor did this knowing he’s got the worst defense in the league.
“I think we are on a collision course for an afc title game rematch”. I think the bills might have something to say about that. Let’s be real, ravens will come out against KC I the playoffs and crumble only scoring 10 points even with Derrick Henry. I’m calling it.
I personally feel like the Steelers are still a threat and shouldn’t be slept on. There’s some obvious bs going on behind the scenes, as players and leaders have been calling out, that can easily be fixed if Tomlin chooses to do so. Super Bowl? No way. 1-2 playoff wins? Very possible.
Packer fan here. Thanks for the kind words. And I agree with you. This team looks like they could have a legitimate shot at the SB. A Chiefs-Vikings rematch would be fascinating. But then again, so would a Packers-Chiefs rematch. As the legendary Hank Stram said, "Keep matriculating the ball down the field, boys!"
6:20 I don't know if this was known before this video was produced but the Chiefs are benching all of their "key"starters next week. The Broncos will be facing Carson Wentz and Noah Gray instead of Mahomes and Kielce.
Didn't most people were saying that the Steelers will be the team to wipe the chiefs out of the playoffs? I mean it could still happen but ion hear no one saying it anymore
As a Steelers fan, our season has gone to shit in a instant, it felt like at one moment we could beat anybody to to next where we just want the season to end, it’s time for us to clean sweep the organization, tank and draft a QB. We are done being 9-10 wins and in purgatory, always good enough to not get a good draft pick but never good enough to win playoff games
Tomlin outsmarted himself this time. He winked 'knowingly' when Russ won his first game back. but did he actually do well? When was the last time you saw a QB *intentionally* under-throw a pass so it bounced off the helmet of a defender twice before being caught? For the first 3 weeks all his passes would have been INTs had the defenders only looked back, or the receivers had to stop, slow down or reach behind defenders to make catches. Here's the thing: in order to start Russ, they'd have to bench Fields. If Fields didn't play badly enough to *get* benched, they'd have to find some excuse. A staffer went onto a show & said they benched him because he 'wasn't throwing to open receivers.' Let's say this is true: Tomlin didn't ask Fields as to _why_ this was happening? Just benched him? Does that seem likely? Also there's this: stats-watchers noticed Arthur Smith was reducing the # of snaps Pickens got, & the former QBs who make the weekly assessment videos noticed he was being sent on those routes where he's to draw away defenders to let other receivers get open. That's not the best use of your _only_ deep threat. But did Smith tell Fields to not read Pickens 1st through 4th on those routes or did he order Fields to not target him? Did the Steelers engineer the excuse they thought they needed? Because something is _really_ wrong that they're now using him as an RB like he's not even valuable as their #1 back-up. I hope he signs anywhere else next season because they don't seem to respect his talent or him as a person.

I know we played the top teams in the league, but we were missing Pickens, oginjobe, and our entire secondary for 2/3 games, our best corner for 3/3 games and TJ has been playing thru an injury since week 15, the defense just has looked COMPLETELY different from how they have week 1-14 and the only variable seems to be injuries, just shocked more people don’t think that played a part
As a Seattle fan and they're officially out...that's for the best. Not a bad first season for the new coach, but they really got a lot of work to do to fix the offense, especially the O-line. And maybe go after Darnold if the Vikings don't re-sign him (which they should). If you lose to the Giants in 2024, you shouldn't go to the playoffs.
Seahawks o-line is so tragic that starters are retiring mid-season out of embarrassment. If yall get an O-line though, I think you would be good
With that line, Darnold will revert to the old Sam Darnold. Better he should take a lot less money to stay in Minnesota.
A team that loses to the bears shouldn’t deserve the post-season either. I’m as much for better draft position and improving our issues in the off-season but let’s not pretend the rams deserve that playoff spot.
I think McDonald will be able to build a team well. Geno got to go.
No we are not fine, we live or die by Jordan Love and Matt Lafleur is too scared of his turnovers to unleash him until it is too late, we've taken the gun away from the gunslinger. Love also won't be getting elite help next season because once again the f*cking defense needs more improving and so will take the lions share of the resources this off season.
Edit: oh it's been like... 12-13 years of trying to get an elite defense, top pick after top pick poured into the defense, this why I am annoyed that it has to happen yet again.
The Vikes are legitimate offensively, and it showed. Maybe ask your GM to bring in Maxx crosby
@gs4395vikings suck on offense, you got JJ and thats it. Nailor and addison are mid but when its a busted coverage by a bad defense even a ghost hunter like Darnold can hit some practice squads guys wide open

Next Week: Cowboys lose to the Catholic Nuns Association, but McCarthy gets another year anyway!
as a Jags fan, while we did mess up our draft pick, i am beyond excited for BTJ and i am looking forward to seeing what he can do next year. best rookie WR imo
Jags don't need to get a QB, so they will still have a very good chance to get a good player wherever they land in the draft order. It's the Giants and Raiders who probably are crying the most about the wins.
I'm just happy doug will be gone
Brian Thomas is a baaaad man great pick
Jags for Jeanty
I think Ladd is a better rookie WR, but Thomas is still extremely promising.
Jarod Mayo needs one more year. I know there are tons of haters out there, but he’s been given a raw rookie QB, a young underperforming wr room, a iffy at best o-line, and an underwhelming defense aside from a few players.
I'm sure Kraft won't dump him yet. And the rest of the league will applaud this.
Jim irsay is becoming more like pops with every passing year
915 yards for Mike Evans this year, it’s gonna be really close if he keeps that consecutive 1000 yard season dating back to 2011 being the last time he had a non 1000 season. Talk about consistency
Update: my bad forgot to say that only season being a year in high school before going to Texas A&M

Disagree about the Patriots. They were arguably worse last year and Maye has shown potential. Mayo should be fine but he’ll be on thin ice IMO.
DTR deserves a job somewhere in the league next year. He is a true blooded tank commander who can lead his team to the promised land of the number 1 overall pick. If the giants had DTR instead of Lock, they remain in sole possession of the top pick.

Andrew Booth Jr getting torched? Vikings fans wouldn’t know anything about that.
The Packers, Steelers, Commanders, Broncos, and Chargers are all fringe playoff teams. Id be very suprised if any of them win a game.

Agree. I wrote a comment a few minutes ago to that effect.
Payton didn't set the precedent. Several other coaches have been traded in NFL history before him, including Parcells, Holmgren, and Bellichick. The Bucs have done it twice, and both led to SB titles in that coaches' 1st (Gruden) or 2nd (Arians) season.

Can the Patriots finally get a good receiver in Travis Hunter?
If there is one silver lining to Belichick being gone is he absolutely would pass on an opportunity like Hunter
Need to follow the chargers gameplan. Trade down for a tackle and get other blue chip prospects that #1 pick can get us a ransom
You have a lot to address before you should be looking to draft a receiver in the first round. Don’t be the Bears…
As we all know the standard is the standard and that standard is a first round bounce.
The Patriots deserve this season after hiring an open racist as their HC.
Regarding the giants I don’t think tanking is really a viable strategy go out there and do your best to win week in and week out

They have consistently picked top 10 and still suck

A staffer went onto a show & said they benched him because he 'wasn't throwing to open receivers.'
Let's say this is true: Tomlin didn't ask Fields as to _why_ this was happening?
Watch the Steelers make the playoffs and Rus ends up going all out in two games only to get stomped by the Bills or Chiefs
