    The most accurate .357 I have ever fired was a 686. It was kind of at an advantage because it had a 10" barrel with an adjustable front sight. Wish I had it back. The best trigger pull was a Python. I still have it. It has a trigger job and a bobbed hammer. It's obviously not a collectible (that's ok I bought it for a song), but the double action pull is incomparable. I once owned a first gen Redhawk in .357. I sold it along with my .44 Redhawk 35 years ago. I eventually bought another .44 Redhawk, but that .357 first gen Redhawk to this day the remains the only one I have ever seen. I still grieve.

    Dig that 19-3 man. Nice collection you’ve got. I too have to oil, cycle, wipe down, and inspect every few months because it’s simply impossible to get all of them in a regular range rotation. Excellent points.

      Thank you so much for watching. I love getting comments from fellow revolver aficionados. It seems whenever I bring a new 357 or 44 home. I get it to the range every time I go for a month or two that it winds up in storage.

    Nice collection! I am heavy on 41 and 44 mag. I need to work on my 357 collection. Actually a 13-2 357 mag was my first hand gun in 1974. It has the gutter sights which I think is the name you were looking for. Still have it with a 4" barrel.

    • @bripro68
      @bripro68  11 місяців тому +1

      That’s exactly the name I was looking for. Thank you.
      Somehow I never acquired a 41. I did hit a streak a while back and got a few model 29s.

    You need a Dan Wesson in your collection. They are built very well and the blueing is high quality.

      You’re right except you left out the word again. I need Dan Wesson in my collection……..again. Had a 15-2 with eight inch barrel only but foolishly sold it a decade ago. The complete kit is in my future.

    Very nice collection. My first single action was also a Virginian Dragoon. I have a lot of revolvers, but not a 686. That will probably be my next one to find.

    • @bripro68
      @bripro68  11 місяців тому

      The Virginian is a quality piece. I probably don’t shoot it as much as I should. I hope you find a wonderful 686. I love mine. It seems when you’re building a gun collection you’re always on the hunt for something.

    I have a 19 target. I will have to do my own nickel love your gun... and collection in general.I also have an early Python and Trooper mk3 and a scandium 340 PD. I also have an Uberti SAA 7.5" .357 that will put a hole in a quarter at 20 yards I have several quarters on my desk Hard to pick a favorite but the Python and the model 19 target are the ones... LOL my python is a 1969 just like yours.

    • @bripro68
      @bripro68  7 місяців тому

      I would love to pick up a Trooper and hopefully someday will. Hows it compare to the Python? As far as the 340PD…..does it sting you? I had a 325PD in 45acp but sold it to finance other purchases. That wasn’t bad as far as recoil but I imagine 357 is worse.

    • @doranmaxwell1755
      @doranmaxwell1755 7 місяців тому

      Actually the trooper is a lot like the Python. it is obviously not as well finished but it does handle the same so there is that. On mine the trigger is not near as good in DA but still quite good. The 340 PD.... When they first came out I got one but every gun writer and expert in the world said they were worthless because of the recoil. Truth is? I have never had a handgun that hurt to shoot like this one does. But.... To me? every J frame handles and shoots exactly the same and I have owned a lot of em over the years. Practice with a steel 38 spl one is plenty good In the heat of the moment I doubt I will even feel the recoil.@@bripro68

    Nice collection, I have only one .357 a new colt Python, nice gun. I have many wheel guns but in more stout calibers. (.44 Magnum) I was very pleasantly surprised to experience how easy it is to shoot a gun that do not want to take your wrist off 🙂

    That's a beautiful treasure trove! I'm biased though, watching this from a country that has a limit of 5 firearms per sport shooter - any collection of 6 guns or more is enviable!
    (And I'm guessing these are only your 357 Magnum revolvers, there's probably pistols and revolvers (and rifles?) in other calibers too...)
    Hope you'll enjoy your liberty and all items in your collection(s) for many more years to come!

    • @bripro68

      Thank you so much for kindly reminding me of my blessings.
      You are correct about the fact that these are just the 357s. I also have a decent amount of 44s, various semi autos and long guns.
      My justification is the investment. I will pass them all down to my children when the time comes.

    If storing a revolver in a cool dry place and not shooting, do u still have to lube once a year?
