I’m not believing a damn one has locked up. Sounds like a crock of bull shit to me. And either way I also hate the Hillary hole in a damn fine revolver…
Agree. It hasn't happened to me. Never heard of it happening (except here). Don't believe it.
Love the collection! I have a 1979 29-2 in nickel with 8 3/8 barrel. I know you don't want to smudge up your guns, but if it was me, I'd break the habit of handling your guns with your fingers touching the triggers so much. Just looking out for you...
The color looks better than the original finish. More important is how did it coat and how does it hold up. It's a clone and are you gonna use it or wall hang it. I use my gear. When you use it you appreciate its ability to protect.
Both beautifull

@@tsc3576 nice. I’m almost ashamed to admit the most action mine has seen is targets at the range.
@ I bet it makes for some great range fun reaching out on long distances. I have yet to try that with the elevated silhouette front sight.
How did you modify it? I assumed you took it to a gun smith? And if so, how much did it cost?
@@joshuayarrington9684 No gunsmith required. Im no more handy than the average do it yourselfer and found the task very simple. I just cut it down to slightly over 18.5” using a metal cutting disc in a 8” chop saw then filed the ends clean, blued them and drill and tapped for the front sight. I don’t remember what the beads diameter or thread pitch was but when I ordered it on eBay, it said what the size and pitch was so I just ordered a tap and drillbit at the same time. The whole job may have cost 20 bucks and that was only because I ordered a new front bead to ensure I had the right size hole instead of guessing after removing the original one.
Do u have to put screws in it to put it on
@@SpiritualWoke22 yes, there are four locking screws
Great gun and sight. But that Pro mark stick is trash. Switch to Vic Firth 😂😂
Always a pleasure to come across another drummer. I’ve been using Pro Mark 5Bs for as long as I can remember. It’s like when I was a kid I found a brand and weight that worked, so I’ve just been buying more of the same over the next several decades. Honestly, I don’t remember what landed me on them in the first place. Next time I pick some up, I’ll try to remember to grab a few pairs of VF’s to give them a try. It’s not like anybody’s endorsing me to use their stick in my basement, bassists garage or occasional VFW gig!!! ; )
Beauty. I’m a newer case.
The 27. Because it’s the flagship. Checks all the boxes.
@@tsc3576 it certainly does. That said I’ve been eyeing up a TRR8 at my local shop. Technically there’s no reason I need it but it’s hard to resist.
I bought one of these for my dagger/Glock sig And so on because I had a microcomp. Threaded barrel combo I picked up for my 365 and it is night and day difference for me. I shoot the gun religiously so I can tell a huge difference. And the accuracy is insane. It's I believe Griffin armory or something. I don't remember. So I decided To try one of these out in comparison to the 70 to $100 1 I have on my micro P365 sig and the performance was ridiculously. Advantaged for 20 bucks. I actually got mine at a making offer. So it was actually about 16 with free shipping. And I haven't tried it yet, but I have a Rock Island armory. TM22. That has the same thread pitch as this. So I don't know if it would even make a difference because it has hardly any recoil. As it is, but I plan to try it out. My body actually has quite a few of the eBay items and I can honestly say that he's never talked about any of them. Negatively, and the best thing I've ever found on there was A. Handgun laser light for Glock. With a holster combo from Warrior land the light laser is rechargeable trigger and rail mounted and said was 850 lm. For a $100 for both. I didn't think that that was even possible. But when I got it charged it up. I was amazed eBay is amazing. It blew my buddies. High dollar lights away and a lot of his have to have the battery taken out and charged. And reinserted, this has an LED screen. The logo goes across its strobes. It lit up my whole yard and basically Rose a huge flood beam with a ridiculous search beam. I can't explain it. It destroyed his t. L. R. Whatever and I believe he had some type of oh light. And after Me showing him the combo and the holster, which they're both amazing. And pick a and I'm very picky about in the waist band holsters. And it is perfectly made to conceal Glock. 1722 19 all the different ones that it's. Is compatible with and even though it's made for the light and laser. If the holster is not comfortable or feels uncomfortable. Or weird I can't use them. I don't know how many I went through before. I found my Warrior land combo for my 365, which is a different light. It's a 100 women, but it comes with a holster and it's just as comfortable as the one that I use before. I had the light. And I have about 5 or more than I got for that and I don't know why I didn't return them. But they're very good holsters. And the light is called the crossbow it has a green laser and light connected with strobe, and it is ridiculous. Don't think because it's on eBay and it's priced good that it scared. Or Gimmeck, I'm always looking for sales just the other day on midway u. S a I picked up 6 Red dot Ops with elevator or step up. Platforms included that were 279 on sale for 2 49 2 different styles. I got 3 of each and I did research before. I got them to make sure it wasn't one of those ridiculous claims like when I bought my Beretta, APXA1 carry and instead the M Sr P with $6.99 on palmetto a while back and I got it for under 200 with a $50 Rebate. Or actually it was like 212. 29 they came to under 200 after the. Rebate, but that was not the. M Sr p so I did the research anyway. They may still be on there. Somebody's looking for a rifle Or carbine or chassis like the c. Aa scx If I'm not mistaken, I know one does but I'm not sure. If they both do they have eleven options of brightness, their red dots I believe one of those options is Automatic Brightness. Or auto adjust. I don't care for that, but some people prefer that their high dollar just the attachment ramps. Or step ups or risers are worth 2499 themselves. I might order some more before they run out
The man had me until he showed the gun.

Are there those who believe that having more rounds is synonymous with success? As if 40 shots were used in street confrontations throughout life. You wouldn’t want to be in front of one of these if you’re a criminal. It’s beautiful, and it’s a luxury to carry it with you.
Fantastic
Agreed. Thanks for watching
@@bripro68I have a Smith and Wesson 357 magnum, it has no model number on it so I believe it's a pre-model before they did that. it's my baby and I named her Reba.
Beautiful. Those guns are works of art. I have a model 10-3, 2" barrel and it's in perfect condition. It's actually my favorite carry gun but it's a little big and heavy for summer time carry.
@@cleophusfowler I agree, but they don’t make them like they used to. I am thinking about picking up a modern production TRR8 though.
You have a great collection. I think that after market t grip makes it look not as attractive as it should.
My lock began occasionally interfering with the movement of the hammer so I removed it. The space next to the hammer that’s left is just cosmetic and easily ignored. Also not an issue if you clean your revolver and don’t plan to drop it in sand and stuff.
@@hanson544 gocha. Honestly quite a few people have told me the lock can be a real issue. I admit I was wrong by assuming it’s folklore. I go with a GP100 for the “house gun” but would feel just as comfortable with this 629.
Can’t really go wrong with 686 and its variants or GP-100. But the Smith has a nicer trigger to me because of the single spring design giving it a consistent trigger feel. The trigger pull is also shorter on the Smith and a bit lighter from the factory. After polishing, my 686+ has a great 8 pound DA trigger. I think this makes a huge difference. But durability and reliability wise, both will handle any rounds you ought to be shooting from them. This means not shooting silly stuff like 180 grain Buffalo Bores from your 4” carry revolver because…what’s the point? Federal 158 grain JSPs, classic 125 grain Winchester HPs, work all day for both.
Thanks for making this video. Bought one of these few months ago but haven’t tried it yet. I also bought it as intro to compensators. I bought it for my PSA FN which already have very minimal kick especially when compared to my G17 and PSA Dagger. I bought a bigger compensator on eBay that kind of looks like a mini suppressor but I don’t know if I’ll run until I can get a threaded barrel for the G17 or buy a G19 that already has one.
@@phonzdandridge0025 thanks for watching. It’s still on the pistol and hasn’t had any issues since I put it on. Performance wise I really can’t see what a more expensive one would do better.
not original grips tho siles grips not ruger grips
I’m glad you stumbled on this upload. Perhaps you can let me know if Siles supplied grips to Ruger. I’ve heard that yes they did and no they did not. Any info is greatly appreciated.
there is a product called renaissance micro-polish wax from walmart etsy or other this stuff works to take fingerprints off of the gun i also have a 28-2 just a thought . thank you
Months ago, I came across a stainless 6" 29 and thought "oh a 629" and admired how it had a recess cylinder. I didn't think much of it as I thought that's how they did the model 629s back in the day. After doing some research, I found out they removed the recess cylinder with the dash 3. Could I actually have held a nickel 29 instead of a stainless steel 629? If so, I missed an opportunity as it was in very good condition going for $900! Wish had I paid attention to see if the barrel was pinned or not.
@@resolute123 I believe those designated a model 629. It wasn’t deeded stainless. The six and their model numbers is used to designate stainless steel. It’s possible somebody had it recessed or they could’ve swapped the cylinder with an earlier one. Of course the shop could’ve mislabeled it. Without, seeing the gun I guess we’ll never know.
@@bripro68 Thanks!
I've got a 586-1 with 8-3/8" barrel, with adjustable front sights and adjustable rear sights. Got it for free back in the 80's... the guy didn't like the long barrel, too front-heavy for him and he was quite happy giving it away... go figure. I'm more of a .38 Special Smith short barrel guy, so I've never fired it. In fact, it's never been fired by anyone, not even with .38's in it. It sure is fun to polish and look at though!
@@thomastidewater i’ve seen those, I think they call them 586 silhouette. Maybe I’m wrong but I would imagine that long barrel with the full under lug would add some front weight. I have one gun I was given for free too, but it’s just a raging bull by Taurus. The guy was so frustrated by it he gave it to me. For 25 bucks for the transfer fee I don’t mind having that dog in my collection.

Gorgeous. You did an outstanding job removing any carbon buildup from the front of the cylinder.
@@casualobserver3145 it comes right off with a little mother’s magwell polish. I know there is concern about widening the cylinder gap, but in my opinion, you would have to polish for months before that could ever be an issue.
