This is a great idea. I wish all cemeteries would do this. I walk around in cemeteries for the exercise and peace and quiet. I’m always picking up flags and putting them back in the ground but I see so many destroyed by ground keepers. It’s amazing to see how many people don’t have respect for the flag anymore it’s no wonder our country is in the crapper. 😡😡🤬🤬
Yeah i cut a grave yard and it pisses me off when i see the weed eater guys destroy flags. BUT at the same time, we cant go around picking up everyones stuff, move it, weed eat the headstone and put all their crap back. I dont mind the guys moving flags but anything else is a nuisance to be honest. And most people dont follow the cemetaries rules. Youre only supposed to put flowers out at certain times of the year. And you arent supposed to put a million trinkets around the grave stone.
It really bothers me when people put glass on around the headstones.
I just wish people would put their flags in a heavy duty pvc like this

With all due respect, presenting this as the only acceptable proper way to place a flag at a veteran’s grave is inaccurate. The VA cemetery in Dayton Ohio provides a much smaller flag to the Scouts and other civic organizations to plant at the graves every Memorial Day weekend. We are instructed to place the flag centered approximately 12 inches in front of the text side of the stone.

the best way to honour a dead person its to learn something from the bible or say some psalms on his behalf.🎉
