It’s kinda odd that some of these President’s have huge lavish buildings buried on the inside while some have a small, simple outside grave. This was a very interesting and educational video. Thanks Mr. Steve.
I think the presidents such as Lincoln and Grant had tombs paid for by outside sources. Most of the others before the creation of personal Library’s and museums I believe just used family plots and personal money to fund their burial sites. They probably wanted their grave modest since being a president was going to garner it’s own form of attention.
I congratulate you! It’s no easy feat to visit all 39 gravesites, but it’s well worth the time! It took me 13 years to see all 39, starting with Lyndon Johnson at the LBJ Ranch in 2008 , and then ending with Andrew Johnson in Greeneville in 2021 (starting and ending with a Johnson)! There’s something about these gravesites that is so telling of both the presidents as human beings, and also the times they lived in. Whether it be the grand mausoleums of Victorian-era presidents, or the humble and unassuming plots, there’s always something to take away from paying respects at these hallowed sites.

Interesting to read about all these presidents. I was born about 5 miles where Harry Truman was buried, actually where they put his memorial and library was a very nice park we went to, it had a lot of things for families to do, picnic pavilions, playgrounds. I loved it. But they took over 3/4 of it to put his museum, it really made a lot off people upset on loosing the park.

Steve, this was amazing! As a kid, I was so into presidential history and now at 56, I still have a set of President fact cards, but they are like 18x24. I have kept them all these years.
Christine Tisone: me too. I visited DC, including The White House and bought the U.S.Presidents' cards and also the big portraits up to Jimmy Carter. I went to Mt. Vernon twice and JFK's tomb 5 times, and threw beautiful red roses to JFK and RFK.
Interesting fact about the Lincoln Tomb: Much like most of the presidents and their respective gravesites, Lincoln's wife and children are all located in the Lincoln Tomb. However, Edward "Eddy" Lincoln, their second son who died at the youngest age at 3 years old, was originally buried in Hutchinson Cemetery, which no longer exists. Approximately 600 bodies, including Eddy's, were exhumed and relocated to Oak Ridge. Nowadays, Springfield High School, my alma mater, stands there. Side note, there are rumors that the school is haunted because a previously unknown gravestone was discovered in the 1980s when they installed an elevator to accommodate those who are handicapped. They named the spirit Rachel, because the entire inscription had completely rubbed off, and the stone "looked like a Rachel," according to the custodian who worked there at the time.
My Father took our family on vacation to Washington and we visited Arlington National Cemetery. It had only been a year since President Kennedy’s death and I still remember the mountain of flowers on top of his grave, and the eternal flame.
Steve such a wonderful endeavor. I must say, seeing the final resting places of the Founding Fathers was emotional for me. Even though I was visiting through your eyes, it made no difference. The people, we must not forget the beautiful brave Ladies who stood next to them, for whom my family has thrived through the ages owe them all much. Their bravery, forthrightness, intelligence, fortitude and undaunted diligence made all my family's lives fortunate. I must say seeing their gravesites brought tears of gratitude to my eyes. May God continue to bless them, their memory and permit them to RIP. Thank you Steve once more.
VERY well done Steve. Everything about this video was excellent and very respectful. Ty for sharing the final resting places of these historical figures.
Hi Steve!! That was SO interesting to see all the presidents put together. Great job!! My fav is still Kennedy’s eternal flame. I saw it years ago & it still brings tears to my eyes. Thanx for all your hard work!!! ❤
@@TheGraveyardChannel I wasn't even living in America when President Kennedy was assassinated and I didn't understand why America was so upset and what all the fuss was all about. I knew nothing about American Presidents! I am from Europe and was living in South America when Kennedy died. The first time I came to America, President Johnson was the President and his grave is so understated but Lady Bird Johnson was so well known for the beautification of Texas with her "wildflower" program. Mrs. Johnson had a vision to make the world better - more “beautiful” - one plant at a time. She recognized that wildflowers and other native plants can lift the spirit and that conserving them and using them in our everyday landscapes is critical to our future. She established the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center to realize this dream. And every spring in Texas the state is covered in Texas Wildflowers all because of her.
This is a very creative, honorable, and appropriate tribute to our nation’s Presidents. At the times of their deaths, these sites would have been highly attended and honored. P. S. Great music, too.

This video was done in a very respectful way and was a pleasure to watch, it can also be educational for those lacking in knowledge of America's history. Thank you.
Excellent video, very well done. History is so fascinating when it comes to Former Presidents and the enormous tasks they had while in office. The only thing I ask is, whenever you attend a Gravesite or Tomb, and especially when it comes to Military Veterans or Former Presidents, that you please remove your hat while in attendance. This is in no way a criticism. It's just respect for anyone who has passed on, regardless of public standing.

the theme , the background music , the people , the views etc... all combine do really bring me back in time .
Thank you very much for the video Sir.
Thank you N!
Am a kenyan 🇰🇪, however am planning to work in USA 🇺🇸 as a nurse in future I have a lot of interest in USA 🇺🇸 because here in Kenya 🇰🇪 my ancestral village borders that of Barrack Husein Obama
Steve, you did an excellent job on this video. It was a huge undertaking, but you mastered it. As a history geek, I thank you.
Hello Susan
How are you doing today?
Thank you for your video. I'm a retired great Grandma who has started a journey on visiting Presidential gravesites. I've been to only five so far. Planning to visit quite a few this coming year. Your video gives me the opportunity to plan my trip. Thank you once again.
This was a beautiful journey and I'm grateful to have been able to come along. Thank you, Steve!
BTW, the musical selection was spot on. 😊
Thank you Leesa. Glad you enjoyed it! :-)
Sends chills down my spine and makes proud to be American.
Great job Steve. This tops them all!!! I am amazed at the different graves...some so huge and gated and guarded while others are very simple, not even a fence around them...
Yet each held the same high office of our country. Wow. Very reverent and informative. Thanks, Steve. Waving back, as always.
Thanks Lorraine. Glad you enjoyed it! 👍
Thank you for sharing this remarkable video and project!
I was filled with pride and sadness - this country had been blessed with humble civil servants who all loved this country so dearly.
What about modern day US president
now look at our country now so sad
yeah okay
What a remarkable and fruitful trip, Steve! Moreover, this superbly edited video is a wonderful compilation of your many Presidential burial site destinations.
Thank you Zing. I'm glad you liked it.

Steve, this is my very favorite of all the trips and podcasts that you have put together. It was so well done and moving. This should be shown in schools all across America. I can only use superlatives about this video! Kudos to you Steve!

Thank you Steve for this wonderful video. I had visited a President's gravesite in the early 90's in New York, but I was not sure who the President was until I saw your video. I recognized that it was Teddy Roosevelt's gravesite.
This is a work of art. I'm in the UK and it sends shivers down my spine. Well done!👍
Yea same! Imagine one our Prime Ministers.
I can't believe I'm watching this the day after our 39th president, Jimmy Carter, celebrated his 98th birthday. Happy birthday, Jimmy!
God bless President Carter!
In 2024 He is turning 100 Hope he lives for a lot of time

It sure was NEG!
I'm not American and I don't speak English but I've always been curious about the political history of the United States and its presidents. I really enjoyed this compiled record of the eternal resting places of such important figures in America. Greetings from Brazil🇧🇷🇧🇷
You write English pretty well for someone who doesn’t know English.😅
@@MostopinionatedmanofalltimeI use Google Translate which seems to be very good.

The music with the content you presented shows how great these leaders in American History. I am so grateful for your research and make us feel like we have been there. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. Watching from the Philippines and soon be teaching about US History.
Thank you Maria!
Hello Maria how are you doing
I'm a Sri Lankan but as a person who can identify all POTUS's by pictures & name all in chronological order, I feel very patriotic watching this awesome video. I can sing the Star Spangled Banner as well. 🇺🇸 Thank you the Graveyard channel.
That's impressive, most Americans can't even do that
@@uriahstivers8125 Thank you, and I can also identify all 50 states in a borderless, minefield geography quiz, and also name all of them, including their state capitals and majority of the large cities. 🙂

Steve, this was amazing! As a kid, I was so into presidential history and now at 56, I still have a set of President fact cards, but they are like 18x24. I have kept them all these years.
Hello. how are you?
Christine Tisone: me too. I visited DC, including The White House and bought the U.S.Presidents' cards and also the big portraits up to Jimmy Carter. I went to Mt. Vernon twice and JFK's tomb 5 times, and threw beautiful red roses to JFK and RFK.
Hi
@@abenirex hi
Great job Steve. I really enjoyed this. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it maureen!
Hi
Thank you !!! God bless America ! Best wishes from Poland.
That’s really interesting, I do find that kind of stuff pretty interesting.
I think Robert is at Arlington
The moved cemetary is facts but the haunting is cap.
The great people who helped put apart this beautiful country, my condolences to all of them and their families.
Thanks for sharing and nice memories
My Father took our family on vacation to Washington and we visited Arlington National Cemetery. It had only been a year since President Kennedy’s death and I still remember the mountain of flowers on top of his grave, and the eternal flame.
Wow, somethings you just don’t forget. I’m glad you were able to visit too Lawrence!

Very nicely said Mario. Thank you!
Mr. Steve thank you for this wonderful episode. It’s amazing and mesmerizing to see all these grave yard. Well done. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Hi Steve!! That was SO interesting to see all the presidents put together. Great job!! My fav is still Kennedy’s eternal flame. I saw it years ago & it still brings tears to my eyes. Thanx for all your hard work!!! ❤
I agree. It is very moving. Thanks so much Carol!
Hello beautiful 🥰 Carol
Hi
Thank you for giving us this unique opportunity to see all gravesites of US presidents! I have watched this video from Austria!
Love this, and we still have Jimmy Carter living at 98 years old now and doing good I’ve heard.
Receiving Hospices care I'm told
God bless President Carter!

This is a very creative, honorable, and appropriate tribute to our nation’s Presidents. At the times of their deaths, these sites would have been highly attended and honored. P. S. Great music, too.
thanks for sharing this!
19:01 that’s an incredible feat, he served 6 years as President while time was moving backwards from 1989 - 1983
I spotted it too
That’s a typo.
Spotted It Too! Was President to 1993.
Was looking for this comment. Thought it would have said something about ruling in a Time Machine
Nobody will never know how he did that.
Hello Steve !!! I just want to say thank you for making that sacrifice and many many miles going to different places to visit presidential gravesites I really love presidential history I want to thank you for that!!! I always enjoy watching your documentaries each time when they come out!!!😁👍 Keep it up !!!

Hello 🤗 pretty lady 🌹❤️💓 How are you doing and the weather condition like
Hello Steve I find all these presidents fascinating thanks for all your hard work .😎❤️
Thanks Lucile!
Very impressive and historical...a professional archive that deserves to be used in schools and libraries across this nation...all additional presidential deaths should be added to this film and professionally archived.
🇳🇱🌷🌷Dutchie here: absolutely beautifully filmed and accompanied with befitting music. Thank you. I liked that the graves of the Roosevelts was simple….very Dutch!
