    • @luciusrex
      @luciusrex 6 місяців тому +4

      @@thisisme5487 if an educated mind is defined by its capacity to entertain thoughts without necessarily accepting them, this openness might lead to a deeper awareness of the complexities and nuances in various situations/consequences. this heightened awareness could potentially result in a sense of regret, as the individual recognizes the consequences of different choices or perspectives - and therefore not do it.
      one way this might happen is when later in life these perspectives change (as they often do) and regret sets in - i shouldve done it when i had the chance

    • @thisisme5487
      @thisisme5487 6 місяців тому

      @luciusrex If you entertain ideas or thoughts without accepting them, generally, that would mean there's no influence or change in your perception or behavior, just an expansion of ideas and possibilities. I think regrets come from a place of wishing things had been done differently. It would seem that the only regrets that would come from entertaining ideas without accepting them would be if some of them were so unacceptable that you regret entertaining them.
      But I see what you're saying.

      @@Tybuscus i dont think he thought it was evil. He thought it was 1) a double standard that women can have that kind of fantasy but a man cannot because it would be seen as creepy. (even she admitted to this) and 2) that it could potentially be a very sticky situation if she were to accuse him. Men get put behind bars for much less evidence, hes not about to risk it.
