Love that Greg actually sang the melodic part of the song! When I saw them in concert during this tour he didn't do any of the melodic parts of songs and it made me sad inside.
PropensityToward I think he doesn’t sing as accurately (on key) live, so he just defaults to the scream. It’s really tough to hit notes when you’re jumping up and down and out of breath
@@animacepatrik No one did, he just kind of raged around during those parts or held the mic out. The power went out to their equipment like 4 times during their set and he was getting pissed about it, understandably, so that probably had something to do with it lol.
same, i'm from brasil and they only came here once, i think, and i didn't know 'em back then, and when i became like a really huge fan i found out they were calling it quits... very shitty feeling
Wow Greg actually sounds pretty good in this recording! Not to knock on the guy because I know he's running around fucking shit up instead of standing in the studio, but usually his vocals are pretty out there in terms of tuning when they play live. Gonna miss these guys!
Good screaming techniques means you can make those sounds without straining your vocal cords. So the actual note does come from your vocal cords, but the overtones (distortion) comes from air that's being pushed by your diaphragm. As long as there's no strain or pushing from the throat then you're good to go.
When I saw them live it was literally the best gig that I've ever been to. Sadly their live videos are always terribly mixed, though still awesome performance-wise.
Billy is precise and powerful altogether, a guided-missile-of-a-drummer... BUT... this tune is rolling around Gil's original beats. Few can deny, that guy provided some GROOVY-ASS beats for the band, never mind his tasty.... tasty fills! I respect Billy and all, but he is who he is... to my ears he is just a step behind Gil. (and I don't even go to that "first-drummer-territory"... oh my, let's leave that other beast or a rhythm-keeper out of the comments for now...)
+Tom Collins First person to ever share my opinions on DEP drummers. I loved Gil and you said all the reasons why. Billy strips out all of Gil's groove.
+Jose Luis A S fuck it, the other guitarist is paid to make sure the riffs get played, Ben's job is strictly composition, flips, 360s, and wah pedal solos
I think he'd be good as a replacement for shadows in sevenfold. Obviously DEP is millions times better than that band, but I'm just saying, when he's done with DEP and A7x is still around, he could fit in, and he'd be even better than shadows.
Shank It Uh, there's a thousand reasons why that wouldn't happen. 1. M Shadows is just a better vocalist overall, and a better vocalist for his band. Greg is good, but fits DEP, not A7X. 2. DEP and A7X beefed a while back, and have not publicly made up. I seriously doubt Greg and Shadows would get along for that to happen.
I don't think that a vocalist in a band that is one of the most important metal bands of the past decade is going to go to Avenged Sevenfold, one of the more boring metal bands of the 2000s. When you can listen to this, Deftones or Tool why bother with A7X?
User52 How the hell did you just say M Shadows is a better vocalist? Greg is always screaming, M Shadows is always singing, you can't really compare the two. Yeah, Greg has some songs with DEP and some of his other projects where he songs, but nothing similar to A7X. That's like saying Adele is a better singer than Corpsegrinder. Apples to oranges. Greg definitely fits DEP more. There isn't much room to be as crazy if he were in A7X.

Who sang them?

He always sang those parts when I saw them live. His clean vocals live are usually spot on. Maybe he was ill at that time
@@animacepatrik No one did, he just kind of raged around during those parts or held the mic out. The power went out to their equipment like 4 times during their set and he was getting pissed about it, understandably, so that probably had something to do with it lol.
That sad part of watching this is knowing that I'll never get to see them live
Same.... same.....
yeah man that sucks!
same feels! all the way from the Philippines
same, i'm from brasil and they only came here once, i think, and i didn't know 'em back then, and when i became like a really huge fan i found out they were calling it quits... very shitty feeling
Patrick Crawford sure hope so
These small pond dudes did a great job here
menteencoma it's a nice place to rehearse too, decent gear and really lovely guys
Agreed. They did a phenomenal job on sound and video.
And that fucker has got better vocals with every year .
it's amazing how hard are the vocals in this is song... the variations and screams

I fucking love this band
Carla Fernanda Who fuckin' doesn't?! Greg is my religion *_*
Make sure to check out better lovers, Greg's new project!
I like it how Ben´s run at 1:42 is totally in time
that fucking RAW energy. oh my. glad I caught them live & survived
Always thought it would be cool to see this song performed with live horns 🤷♂
This was my first time seeing Dillinger and it was certainly insane, fucking good show and they peaked my interest a hell of a lot since then
that bass time is absolutely SICK
in Saints row 2 I’d go for that extra cruise around the block to hear this and black dahlia murder. Sick game for the time wtf
Dude no doubt. Driving around listening to the soundtrack was the best part of that game sometimes.
shit it feels good to hear Milk Lizard after such a long time! completely forgot about this song for some reason
bruh
The back to back 'greg' nosh off aside. This is so fucking good. Ultra-tight studio performance from all band members. Fucking obscene.
starting to get into them, but how does he not blow out his voice over time?
you don't use your vocal chords
All in the diaphragm!
@@oscargonzalez7930 your diaphragm doesn't make sound mate.
None of this makes sense

Billy from 3:25!
He's got the tastiest licks. Sick!
I was thinking the same thing.
Sick performance
Listens to album version, mind blown.
Listens to live version, 😍🤤🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
God. I love this song
a must see band
Nathan S missed standing tickets so didn't bother... really regretting it now, I could've always tried to sneak down
Love their studio stuff, I have to say though this is the first actually okay live video I've seen of them.
That's because this is the first pro shot video that's been recorded and mixed properly. They've been on top of their game lately
When I saw them live it was literally the best gig that I've ever been to. Sadly their live videos are always terribly mixed, though still awesome performance-wise.
+Kvarforth You guys should check out the Hultsfred gig from 2004. It's an entire concert with decent sound quality.
fucking showmanship
I hope, beyond all hope, these guys play one more UK show in the future. Any money, they can have it
They're playing Belgium soon, could happen 🤞
It killed me.
The sad part of this not many views.....Kids are missing out .,...Please share :)
Incredible! 0.0
More. Of. This. NOW.
If they play in any country in EU. I'm driving. No problem. Now I'm daddy with family but for them I'm going it. Fuck yeah.
Keren
finally!

Tom Collins idk I can’t really tell the difference.
Anyone know why is Ben not sing his sig guitar???
MacPac78 his sig is normally used as a back up or his drop D guitar
dysh dysh dysh
this isn't billys song,ok but a lil bit disconnect
Estate agents playing rockstar, yawn
Damn Ben, you should worry more about your playing and less about your jumping-running shit
+Jose Luis A S fuck it, the other guitarist is paid to make sure the riffs get played, Ben's job is strictly composition, flips, 360s, and wah pedal solos
If you say so bro
he sounded fine to me
Jose Luis A S It is a live performance. If you want it to sound just like the studio recording then listen to the studio recording.

Evening Rose M Shadows can scream too. He has better range, objectively.
User52 But is his primary style screaming? Pretty sure he nearly only sings.
