I would go as far as to say Dillinger is one of the greatest bands of all time. They managed to pioneer an entire genre, finding a way to make chaos sound controlled. They are utterly timeless, and have influenced a whole generation of bands. I urge anyone who hasn’t explored their discography to do so, because every single album they’ve put out is brilliant. Also, if you’re planning on doing more mathcore reactions, definitely do the band Rolo Tomassi. They’re also fantastic.
Seen this band 3 times. In 2013, 2014 and 2016. Met the bassist every time. Met the whole band in 2014 in chicago. Was so epic. Wish i could see then again.
I saw Dillinger play the LA2 in like 2001ish I think and I recorded their whole set and it was and still is one of the most intense shows ever. Brutality and pure force.
Always got heavy Mike Patton vibes from Greg's vocals which makes sense since Dillinger made that Irony is a Dead Scene e.p. with Mike Patton prior to Greg joining.
one the only bands to melt my face live. had to buy all their shit. I begged the merch guy for a deal on the discs. saw them with Mr Bungle in Houston at zeldas.
This was the band that started my love for metal I remember hearing one of us is the killer and when I lost my bet when I was 8 years old and fell in love with the band I still listen to them every week at least once
I used to Gig with Dillinger in the early days 97-99 (basment shows, DImitri had his finger pointed in my face as he screamed. He later handed me their unreleased EP you can only find on UA-cam) TRY THE MULLET BURDEN TOO!!! ( they play 43% Burnt like double speed live, we were similar but more melodic) if you want to cry, Listen to the song Dissociation... To be Honest, they didn't call themselves Metal, yet weren't just a Hardcore band either and very different from bands like COnverge and Botch
Anyone who says diIlinger aren't metal, don't understand metal. At all. There's a live clip in a mall you need to find, it's raw and wild and epic. You should both deep dive Totally Unicorn, an Australian polypunkymetallyvibe band. They supported dillinger on their last Australian tour.
Got into them around the time I was 17-18. A year later they broke up or announced the break-up. Most of the tattoos on my body are The Dillinger Escape Plan art.
@@Lezzyboy87 they are, they came up in the NJ hardcore scene. And either Ben or Dmitri said that Dillinger was essentially formed to "out-Deadguy Deadguy", who are one of the greatest 90's hc bands
What makes you say that exactly? As a giant Dillinger fan, I'm holding off on not being defensive lol. Rorschach and what not are still mathcore, but who do you think Dillinger are derivative of in terms of metric changes and shredding?
@@xangrycatmanx5104Deadguy! All of my favorite bands' favorite band is Deadguy! The guys in Shiner reccomended me them too, and Season to Risk. Along with Dazzling Killmen.

If Yasmine hasn’t heard them, there should be an episode on Glassjaw
HOW COULD IT ALL BE?!?!?!?!?!?!
best opener of all time, only could be matched by Farewell Mona Lisa or Panasonic Youth
@@ding1r Nah fam, Sugar Coated Sour could knock a 200kg man off a titanium bolted & chained, prison chair.
WE FINALLY FIGURED THIS SHIT OUT!!!!!
Dillinger, Botch, Converge, Coalesce, Car Bomb, Norma Jean, Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza.....

This video made me so happy! :] Seeing the finger twirling had me cackling, my favorite Dillinger stim. Can't wait to see them in June in Brooklyn!
Thank you for this episode! I never got into Dillinger until this video
Classic example of "dudes who are scary onstage but actually pretty chill".
I wish they were still around. There will never be another band like them.
Limerent Death goes hard
This video is amazing, TDEP is one of my favorite bands of all time and they are all over the place genre wise…well done 👏🏻

Why did this come in the algorithm? I have no idea. But I'm glad to see the gospel of DEP being spread! Do Periphery! Myspace music at its finest :D

Prancer/When I Lost My Bet/One of Us is the Killer is such an S-tier opening trio
2:54😂😂😂😂 she wasn’t ready for the bridge

When she graduated from Dillinger, get her into John Zorn.
I love this series!
Check out the chariot
her head would explode hearing the new Full Of Hell
Haha as if you left the programming notes in. Lol
You guys are hilarious :)
FAITH NO MORE walked so THEY could run hun.
TDEP ran so that Sleep Token could crawl, don’t do that to them 😭😂

The Dillinger Escape Plan
I'm a younger millennial and I don't remember people ever caring much about gens until recently. Anyways, Dillinger friggin rules.
Im a gen z guy. I love Dillinger so much! The moment i found out about the crazy stuff and fell in love.
Got into them around the time I was 17-18. A year later they broke up or announced the break-up.
Most of the tattoos on my body are The Dillinger Escape Plan art.
bringing up sleep token & deftones ,, not even letting the song play the whole way thru ,, im out😭😭
This is their most accessible song. This song does not represent what Dillinger Escape Plan is.
Have you ever heard One of Us is the Killer?
you're an annoying cunt. this is not their most accessible song.
They played more than one song you fool.
They played multiple songs; she just eased her in.
Bloodbath would be an excellent choice considering how Yasmine has heard Opeth
Band fucking rips, no one else ever.
Listen to sikth
Sikth are fucking incredible
The last 5 minutes are interesting 😂
Coalesce fan? Converge fan? Botch fan?
Ignorance to hardcore would allow someone to think Dillinger is completely unique.
DEP aren't hardcore, but yea
When under the running board came out, people took notice. They were pretty damn unique back then
