1:10:53 i had the same reaction after thinking that the grand duke mission would continue on even after i told wyll to break the pact! i think you can still save his dad even after this (i havent finished the game yet, so just guessing), but the lack of a quest point pointing to that possibility makes me kind of sad... i was surprised wyll just took the consequence lying down too, and that event was his biggest moment yet
anyways, 4 hour episodes are always a treat. really great commentary! i was laughing throughout.
Honestly I feel like Wylls character and story were kinda miffed. His story is interesting but it just doesn't feel as fully fleshed out as all the other companions. His voice lines are kinda boring and for being a person so dedicated to protecting people he just took his punishment without much to say other than "I'm sad my dad died" and that's it. Just feels kinda like they didn't flesh him out the way they did Astarion or Shadowheart or Laezel. Even Halsin has a more interesting story to me 😂
@@havenrayne4415 yeah I agree, i think they rushed his story to get the game out. it's a shame, because i love his voice actor and was genuinely invested in his plot. but the general opinion i hear a lot is that act 3 was rushed too, so i guess cuts had to be made and wyll's finale unfortunately suffered.
im actually sad that halsin doesnt really have anything to do in act 3! except, well, love me. haha. but yeah, the other companions got more care to their story. i hope they get to update it one day.

I'm loving your playthrough and as long as you don't break Shadowheart's heart, I love the amourous escapades. To some extent, capricious behaviour is part of roleplaying - therefore thumbs up for including this content! So excited to know how the story continues.

As for your question at 3:05:13 I think you stepped on one of those landmine flowers while in combat, and they exploded thus killing some of the Masks at Ethel’s basement (it happened at 3:01:22 and you didn’t notice it at the time)

I like that you kept Morphy's falling-off-the-wagon moment as cannon. Fighting ones' own demons is rarely all win. It takes many fails to get to the other side.

Man, the vibes you bring to this playthrough are perfect! I binged the whole series just before the last episode and I haven’t been able to find any other lps anywhere near as good as this one. Also you being essentially stunned into silence during the saucy Misora scene was almost more funny than you usual comments when things get spicy 😂

Shadowheart is the romance option that is the most open minded. Various companions have different reactions. Some would even end the romance for good. The Emperor scene, though... it made me sick, just by imagining what is going on.
Well done with the githiyanki fight, btw. If only Astarion had used magic missile in his first try to kill that gith warrior (although that smack with the staff was perfection). MM only does not work against casters with a shield or creatures with damage resistance.
A reminder: You could also use divine intervention once to raise fallen friends and regain spells.

I can’t remain silent, and I want to share my point of view and probably my frustration.

Dear papa boy Wyll. WHY am I so enraged at his behaviour? It is unbelievable! Wyll, when will you start to speak for yourself, to think for yourself, to act for yourself?! I hate it. I absolutely hate it, and I hate him for being such a person who can only do as others say and let them take responsibility instead of himself. This was his father! This was his soul! The decision should have belonged to him! We shouldn’t even speak a word, and yet we were forced to command Wyll to act one way or another, and I feel bad for that.
Ok. If Wyll likes to live his life this way, as mere soldier who takes commands, in a submissive and empty-minded manner, then so be it. I’d freaking tell him to sign his soul away and go to Hells, because he will enjoy it there.
