I’ve been following the recommended diet for pitta dominant dosha, lots of cool herbs and veggies.. no spices.. coffee in moderation.. it works and balances me and cools me.. how ever, now it’s winter time! And the last few days I’ve been feeling ‘too cool’ maybe Kapha or vata dominant.. so I ate a very spicy hot bean curry! And I felt amazingly alive and balanced! I forgot ayurveda is about listening to your body, and giving it what it needs and when it needs depending on how it feels and the season of the year! It’s magical.
I am surprised (jaw dropped) at how correct you are with every point. I tried to find info on this everywhere and never have I come across such an accurate video for my dosha.. thank you 😊 🙏🏼

One thing you’ve not mentioned is that everyone is very different and to make sure they cater to that. Ie... you may be high pitta BUT have compromised Agni in which case you will want to avoid raw foods. Best thing to do, no matter what your constitution, if you’re having any issues is to chat to a practitioner and always remember to pay attention to your own body’s signals above all else ☺️ x
I intuitively stopped eating certain foods since 2013.. started with stopping coffee and fizzy drinks than later on in 2017 I stopped eating red meat and focused more on veggies and fruits. I did that without even knowing about me being a Pitta Dosha !! However, I love my garlic and onions I can't cook a meal without including one of them or both ! It just doesn't taste the same .. but since I now know that it isn't good for me I will try to cut down the amounts 😥
Amazing Video......My Problem...If I start working on system for some time, I get join pains in my finger joint especially index finger...pain and uncomfort on hands...please suggest solution......my body is already pitta type as I take seasme seeds, raggi my body gers heated up and top of it, I have vatta dosha seems to be...both are making my life abnormal...I started taking ashwagandha but it was increasing heat in the body making problems worst
Hi Melissa, I have taken a few dosha tests just to confirm my results, I am a Vata-Pitta type. I understand it’s a bit contradictory at times but I am following the advice on seasons, i.e. Vatta from October to May (colder months) and Pitta from June to September (warmer months), Is that right? Also, do you have a video on that combination? Thank you for your videos and for sharing your wisdom.
Thanks a lot for your information. I have found with one ayurvedic doctor that I have the pitta dosha. You too suggested the same what he suggested. I have question releated to this. I have psoriasis for 7 years and no medication help me in permanatly. All saying this diesese link to toxins in our blood. But my inner thoughts saying this is happening because of the dosha imbalance, therefore if I take care of dosha I will be free from psoriasis. Am I correct? Please advice.
Hi thank you for an awesome explanation, what are the recommendations for someone who's predominantly pitta dosha that wants to lift weights, it's the most enjoyable form of exercise for me and i'd like to know how best to approach it without upsetting my mind/body, thank you.
I don't like spicy and onion. I don't like hot coffee. I love melon, watermelon.. all these kind of fruits. I'm focusing in my hips and back since I have started to practice yoga. (Around two months) I'm very intuitive, is it a pitta dosha trait?
Hello! Thank you so much for your words. I've heard in Ayurveda that we eat fruits alone, and we should eat them in the morning. I love eating fruits for breakfast, but usually my blood sugar crashes just an hour or two after. Can we add some chia seeds with fruit? Or soaked nuts/flax meal? I read chia seeds can be combined with fruit because they are hydroponic.
I usually mix fresh Turmeric with milk and a pinch of Trikatu or Black Pepper in a small blender for anti-inflammatory effects. Being a Pitta-Vata dosha, this overheats my body, especially during the Summer. What can I combine with fresh Turmeric to reduce “Pitta” aggravation?
I drink matcha, barley weed, nettle powder, ashwagandha and brahma. That is how I breathe in and get my balanced energy. If I need I put some fresh ginger in. It was my doctor who told me about this cause she is like me. 😊
I have problem of nightfall 2,3 times a week for 3 years , it increases more with eating spicy , reD meat , junkfood and Now i limit eating spicy, sour and taking coffee . I think its due to excess in Pitta dosha.. I had distrub for 3 years due to frequent nightfall which cause weakness .
