Something you like to play with his gear ratio? Every test bike since 1979 you taking the stock rear sprocket off and added one with the bigger tooth. Every bike. If the bike came with the 72 tooth rear sprocket you will put a 73 tooth rear sprocket on

FOR EVRYONE THAT PUTS A ZIPTIE ON WP FORKS TO SE HOW MUCH TRAVEL YOUR USING.
On my 2021 tc 125 their is a little red ring that might look like a dust gaurd at the bottom of you fork legs but it is not a dust guard. It dosed the same thing as a zip tie but some people think it’s a dust cover for a protector for bottom outs. It is a little difficult to get up but it is made for measuring how much travel
    You are using.
    You welcome

I have a 2012 150xc that I put a fmf pipe and silencer on and it made a world of difference. It came on pipe earlier and pulled longer. I got a fmf for my 2019 150sx and was very disappointed with the power "gain" the only difference I felt was it was a little snappier than stock. It didn't come on pipe any sooner or pull any longer. I'd spend the 350 bucks elsewhere if I could go back and do it again

Stock gearing 125 is fine (imo)Pipe and reeds definitely chuncks it up (breathes better) more responsive and deals with load better(sandy stuff). the parts make a difference. Actually make its easier to ride havnt played with valve yet .at my age and ability didnt think it needed it..power feels spread nicely as is.(IMO) best bike ive ever bought..oh and did they metion how dam light it is!! Mate do it...you will never regret it..fair enough if u go trail riding with long straights..but riding tracks..defo the go..and i weigh 81kgs and the bike has no dramas with me .but geared with the track your at beautiful..and there not slow if u keep momentum..i pass heeps of 450s..i also get passed by kids too..its the rider but definitely less likely to take u for a ride rather than u riding it!!..i enjoy my riding so much nowadays i cop flake from my mates for being on the 125 ..but im faster than all of them and there tune changes after the 1st lap..and im 43 and there 21-25..and when one of there new mates come with us..he will generally give me a hard time about age and the 125..but they cant shut them up quick enough during convos b4 riding..the perception is the more powerful the bike the better u are ?? Until u get on the track!! Don't worry about what people say u will have more fun, seat time, bigger smile!!

When you say the 125 is more torque out the corner and later say that an aftermarket pipe helps a lot. It sounds like KTM just used the 125 pipe and it isn’t really matched for the extra 50cc. Even though it’s only 25cc more, I would think it had torque lower in the rpm at least more at the same rpm. So yeah, it sounds like this pipe is not tuned for the extra cc.

As a slower vet rider with a 150 and ridden the 125, the power difference feels even bigger than the 3hp suggests. I find the 150 easier because the extra torque means I don't have to abuse the clutch as much to keep the revs up and because I am not as fast, I am more prone to being a gear too high and lugging the bike more than average.

  • @christophervillarreal8565
    @christophervillarreal8565 Рік тому

It also doesn't help that they used the 125 gearing on the 150 when obviously you'd want to change that right off the bat and the bike would ride way different then the initial reviews when compared back to back

It cost $349.95 without counting installation and the Pro Circuit pipe/silencer we used. It weighs 192 lbs? The 1989 Honda CR125 only weighed 189 lbs. So you are telling me that in more than 30 years they haven't been able to get the weight down?..in fact now they weigh more now!! ...and probably the 1989 Honda is a better bike...

Your dreamin mate... These new bikes are beefed up to handle way better than an old 88 CR125. I love the old CR's and I even have one but they have skinny 43mm conventional forks plus a thin frame, smaller radiators and the list goes on.
It's way better to race one of these than an 88 model. Also the old CR125 has a dry weight of 194lbs.. 2lbs heavier

Not only is it lighter, the older bike, but To make matters worse an old 1989 CR 125 already made 37HP bone stock.
And just by bolting on a 1989 CR250 carburator it made over 40HP.
With some porting and pipe, ...above 45HP, there is no 125 today that comes close. A stock 2021 KTM 125 makes 37HP also.. So where is the advancement?
The point being, not to race an older bike, (unless it is well restored), but to expose, the scam they are running, as they have made ZERO advancement in the last 30 years.
The only difference is the suspension.... but by the 1990's suspension has not changed at all...despite what the "marketers" sell.
In fact a 1989 Cagiva wmx125, already had the "so-called" 'upside-down" forks. Too bad Cagiva isn't making MX bikes anymore.

@@deckard5pegasus673 dude... I rode a 92, 96, 01 and 04 CR 125's all new or fresh and in good condition, the 90's bikes were good but even they were proper flat compared to KTM's 125s let alone their 150's, even from a decade ago. I'm talking about on this planet though, I have no experience in the imaginary world you're talking about, maybe jetting plays a huge part there 😂
