- What an incredible takeoff! I love this aircraft! Incredible General Electric CF6-80 engine sound on departure! Magnificent views of Miami International Airport, Downtown Miami and Miami Beach! Watch as we taxi on to Runway 8R and depart to the East! Perfect sunlight angle that lights up the inside of the engine! Don't stare at the engine nose cone too long or you might become hypnotized! You can hear an excited child in the background as we spool up! This aircraft was painted in the new AA paint scheme but the winglets still had the old logo on them! Truly one of the best takeoffs I've ever filmed! Excellent service on board complete with breakfast! Filmed from the First Class cabin on board American Airlines! Flight 1280 to New York City (JFK). 5/23/14.

F-in' music to my ears! Such a great marriage of 2 amazing American products (The 2x CF-6.80 engines and the Boeing 767)! Beautiful!!!!!!!
GE CF6 sounds amazing as hell General Electric nailed it on this. This same aircraft is now converted to a 767-300ER (F) freighter to a cargo airline and is still thriving. I went on this same aircraft in 2006when it was the old livery, the new wingtips were installed on December of 2009 because that’s when it had a maintenance record. It was made in 1993 ferried to AA. The engines are original from Everett. That’s why it has a unique sound from other 767-323ERs
I live in Miami Design District, and everyday I hear the airplanes ROARING right over me!
The sound the engines make while spooling up is surreal!
+Sushrut Dongargaonkar Glad you enjoyed the sound so much! Thank you for taking the time to comment!
That's one thing I like about engines one or two generations earlier than today's newest engines. They sound so good! Not many new engines can match that sound, unfortunately.
Sushrut Dongargaonkar That’s a Rose Royce Jet Engine all of them have that sound during take off.
it's hard to comprehend the amount of air those turbo fans are sucking in at full thrust. awesome vid
The condensation! The music of the engines! Awesome!
Nice 767 sound! Love those CF6!
Never heard an engine sound like THIS before!
PaintedBlue Ill be freak out....
Sounds like somethings about to fall off !!!!
Miami is so beautiful, I love going but hate when it's time to leave.
+Lioness Es I have lived in Miami most of my life. I can tell you, when I was a kid, it was heaven on earth; now, it's a third world ghetto--Glad you like it. It's a disgrace, sadly.
+Paul Anthony Yes, I agree, lived I'm Miami Lakes / Hialeah in the early 90's it was getting bad then, ran away from the place, have not been in Dade since 2009, don't miss it al all.
Miami is always beautiful any day; sunny or rain
I've departed out of MIA several times. Lived in Miami for a bit and LOVE it in Florida!! Great video of this magnificent take-off! I think besides enjoying flying, the most that I enjoy is the take-off!! I find it so exhilarating ! Thanks for posting! I feel like I'm on-board with you!!
Glad you liked it so much! Florida is great for sure! I enjoy takeoff as well! Thanks for your comment!
You're welcome! :-)
Such a powerful machine!!
The GE CF6...the sound of freedom.
Some day, some day, I´ll travel in First Class...
I took off from Miami on American Airlines a few times. I always enjoyed the view. Thank you for this video.
Edward Petty Glad you liked it! Thank you for your comment!
I got to fly a US Airways Airbus A319 from TPA to MIA, and back again, around the Thanksgiving holiday last year. Some of the most incredible views that I've ever seen in my life. I got to fly over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Ft. Meyers, Naples, the Everglades, Doral, Little Haiti, Little Havana, Biscayne Bay, and Miami Beach.
Gracias por subir este video. Bello momento. 767 Maravilla de la Ingenieria.
Another amazing video as always. That's about as close to Miami as I'll ever get.
Thanks for the beautiful sights and sounds. Walter
Thanks! Glad you liked it! Miami is an awesome city to visit!
The winglets make this aircraft look a lot better! Thanks for the upload!
Yeah, the winglets are cool! Glad you liked the video! Thanks for the comment!
Very nice video! Miami looks amazing in this video, one of the best taking off videos in Miami indeed! :)
Beautiful takeoff over the future Miami Ocean Reef
A Big Like for the AWESOME airplane effects!
Said to see these are being retired. I love them. At least I will be able to see them often because the cargo carriers in and out of my airport will be flying them for at least another decade, maybe two.
Great Video.. I am very exited to see the first class on the American Airlines 767 new livery. I have recently flown out of Zurich Airport and an American 767 with new liver happened to be parked next to the A330-300 I was to be flying on. I saw those winglets. Maybe they keep them to remember the old livery.
Glad you liked the video so much! They should be updating the First Class product on the 767 in the near future! The mock-up photos look very nice! Not sure why they didn't change the winglets! Thank you for the comment!
Even though you save up money, Dude, you are a wealthy person LOL, you always have great videos!! Thanks!!
Glad you liked all the videos! Thanks for commenting!
And this is the best 767 video I have ever seen! Gotta love the condensation!
Yeah, I really like it too! The 767 is great in my opinion!
works out well for the general public to witness...nice takeoff climb for a 767-300 ER
It was a mega video like all yours!
I really like the sound 😍😍
Eko LondoHD same
God I love Miami, and the 767
I was born in Miami . This is very good. Wish I can fly some place.
Great vid...captures the true beauty of takeoff and Miami. Puts my two vids to shame, but I'm still learning!
I'm really glad you like it! Continue to put effort towards your videos and have faith in your filming skills and you will have great videos as well! Thank you for your kind words and your comment!
I remember back in the 70's and early 80's, living in Ft. Lauderdale, Delta would regularly have flights from MIA to FLL and vice versa, usually DC-8's and 727's.
Wow, that's a really short flight! It probably would have been better to just drive!
AMAZING
Totally awesome and breathtaking sound
Beautiful takeoff!
Glad you liked it! Thank you for the comment!
The sound is incredible! Amazing takeoff! Love it! :D
Yeah, those GE engines are excellent! Glad you liked the video!
I've never seen the engine nose cone paint design like this one. Very interesting. I always try to sit in a seat that offers this view. I love looking out there at the engine during takeoff..."pumping out all that thrust!" It's amazing that man can build engines so powerful. Nice video. Modern jet flight is incredible...must be a "guy thing"...right ladies? LOL
According to my demographics, over 90 percent of my viewers are men! Glad you liked the video so much! Thank you for your comment!
***** To show one of the differences between men and women...I was chatting with a female about her recent flight...she couldn't tell me which airline she flew on, couldn't tell me which aircraft she flew on, couldn't tell me how many engines were on each wing...her response was..."the airplane was white!" There you go, guys. Women and men (us) see the world in different ways. LOL
Most GE engines have that paint on the center of the engine. Its a "G" when not spinning. for GE.
falcondriver100 Very interesting...it sure is a clever design. Thanks for the info.
I Love the spinner paint.
Edaan Friedman Yeah, it's pretty cool!
***** How can you afford to take first class every time?
For a while I just saved up and purchased the tickets! I guess I'm quite an enthusiast!
***** Isn't that like a few thousand dollars per trip?
Not always! There are some good deals out there!
0:18 dude he’s literally speaking the truth!
I love this video I want to fly the 767 or the 757
Glad you liked it so much! I highly recommend taking a 757 or 767 flight if you can! Thank you for your comment!
Personally my favourite aircraft is the 757-200 because of its sleek fuselage, amazing iconic RB211-535E4 buzzsaw and its easily-recognisable nose but the 767 and it’s amazing cf6 engine spool-up is just so addicting! I will have to say the 767 is probably my second favourite aircraft!
Very relaxing video for me wanting to kill some time watching the radar images for if/when we might get any Tstorms up here in southern RI...on this very muggy 8/11/15 late-evening.. excellent shot of all of Miami Beach during the takeoff...love this overall video...big big time...and for certain..it is also .excellent for any form of relaxation therapies.....
+James Moulton Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for your comment!
Pretty amazing just how much moisture you can suck out of the air in Miami........even on a "dry" day.
Yeah, it's quite humid there!
"Don't stare at the engine nose cone too long or you might become hypnotized!" ... Ok and how did you fly and hear this sound for hours XD ! NICE TAKEOFF ! :)) liked it
Glad you enjoyed it so much! Thank you for the comment!
Loooooooooooooooooooove these videos!!! Thanks for posting!
italianamiei I appreciate it! Feel free to watch as many as you like! Thank you for taking the time to comment!
This classic 767 plane was made in 1993. Is it still going or scrapped?
This is a great aircraft!
italianamiei The 767 is a classic! I always enjoy my flights on board!
Absolutely wonderful sound!
I can’t wait to go there on February 18
I enjoyed my time there, I hope you do as well!
My favorite aircraft! Great video!
The 767 is a phenomenal plane! Glad you liked the video! Thanks for taking the time to comment once again!
Anytime!
TRG Productions but Miami better
Great footage of one of my favorite planes.
Yes, I was very thankful to have such great weather along with sunlight directly into the engine! It's very difficult to duplicate!
Amazing
Excellent video of takeoff! Great view from cabin!
Thank you very much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!
N382AN was a 1993-built Boeing 767-300ER (serial no. 25451)and it's a 498th 767 built, retired by American Airlines in 11/21/2016 and stored one day later at KROW, and now it's a N399CM Aloha Cargo Boeing 767-300ER(freighter).
Thanks for the information! I'm glad I got a chance to fly on it!
@@mah584jr it was found on Planespotters.net: www.planespotters.net/airframe/Boeing/767/N399CM-Aloha-Air-Cargo/y98kT65b
Nice! Are those with the renewed interior? if yes, do you have some pics?
Glad you liked the video so much! I believe this aircraft had the old interiors!
Awesome
not normally into aviation vids but this one is so good esp when you recognize the city well. weird how there seems to be condensation by the engine. kindly inform also the tail (the part that is vertical) seemed to shake alot, normal?
The condensation is a result of the air flowing into the engine. During takeoff, air flows into the engine so fast that it's temperature drops below the dew point, causing it to instantly and momentarily condense. As for the shaking part of the plane, the vertical portion is the winglet, and it is designed to shake like that and take much more punishment than this takeoff. Aircraft wings have extremely high tolerances for rough air and you should not be worried that it will snap off.
I really thought they would’ve went with RB211s, since AA got them on the 757s, and that they are a mainly RR customer.
Great video! Thanks for posting!
+Niklas Enblom Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!
+Mah584jr HD Aviation so good
Wow! Like the turbofan sound.
You have to admit, the guy at GE that painted the twirly off center of the fan , must have had a real sense of humor. About went buggy watching it...yeah I know, a very short trip for me...:)
Yeah, it was very hypnotizing! Must do wonders with the birds!
It seems that it's going to come out that thing in the center of the engine LOL!
Gotta love that engine moisture!
Yeah, you can always count on humidity in Miami!
*****
Please store your LeBron James at room temperature, (72-77 degrees Farenheit) or it will become completely useless.
Great video. Takeoff wasnt full power. Great sound. I will fly on AA B763 (Winglets hopefully) on next month from JFK-MXP. Not very often on B763. Last time was 2007 on ANA B763 to NRT from HKG
Glad you liked it so much! I thought it was an excellent takeoff as well! I hope you enjoy your upcoming 767 flight!
Great video
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Beautiful!!
It's always beautiful in Miami! :)))
It's a great place to visit! I was lucky to be able to film on such a gorgeous morning!
It sure is! :)
@@michellet9032 Not when there's a hurricane...
I love the view and quality
MrAirplanefreak777 Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the kind words!
Great video, nice view :)
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words!
Beautiful 👍👍
1000/1000! Awesome!!!!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
awesome - i love it !!
Insane rate of climb
Wow I've never seen an engine vortex/condensation like that!
Yeah, it seems to occur frequently in Florida with all the humidity the state experiences! Glad you liked it!
I can see "south point", the beach and buildings at the southern most point of miami beach... very nice down there and away from the south beach crowdedness of "south beach" which is about a mile or so north of there.... also on the south side of south point u see ships go in and out there.
Nice views.
Nice video but it would have been good to know where it was bound to. Most people that post flights taking off state from where they take off but hardly state where they are bound to. Just a suggestion.
If you click on "Show More" right above you, he states that it is bound for JFK in New York City.
Thank you
Edwin Maldonado yup, short flight to Kennedy in Queens, NYC, NY.
5 star video
Thanks! It's rare to find such clear skies in Miami like this!
Wow what a great video, beautiful .
I'm really glad you liked it! Thank you for taking the time to comment!
***** what do u prefer GE or rolls Royce for the 767 and 747?
Hmm, that's a close call!
Love the video :)
Augusto Lugo I'm really glad you liked it so much! Thank you for your kind words!
CF6-80 is a military engine. It is also known as F138.
ну вот в этом видео наконец-то на полной тяге взлетает) редкое зрелище, но тут движки молотят от души)
How come the engine sound becomes less noticeable as your altitude increases?
I thought this 767 had the old livery (the winglets caused it)!
Classic
Indeed!
Was this 767 in the old American Airlines livery. Silver?
I wish I weren't afraid of flying.
From what airport this plane took off?
Alejandro Torres hey idiot can you read its miami international in florida USA
Soooooooooo cool what's the steam about ?
That's condensation from the damp air!
wow that made a realy cool :D
This way a very derated takeoff. Infact so derated that there was a slight throttle up when thrust management system switch over to climb power.
Great Video.
Emil Serafino I'm glad you liked it so much! Thank you for taking the time to comment!
Emil Serafino I notice the entire time the thrust increases bit by bit. Notice how the pitch gets progressively higher all the way to 10,000 feet. Definitely the opposite of a heavy takeoff. 2.5 hours on a jet that can do 11 is effortless.
Wow that's cool! I hope that was a good flight! You got a good seat too! Great view! But yeah the engine looks weird
Nice video, but I see you're still doing the exclamation marks/points...
It's a healthy wobble
How do you get the money to fly on first class all the time
I just save up!
How do you get this angle with a camcorder?
Not sure what you mean!
*****
I would love to know what angle you hold your camera at to get such a beautiful view of the CF6. It really comes out great!
Oh, I just point it back toward the engine!
RB211,if not mistaken...
They're General Electric
@@mah584jr Thanks,GE what engine? I likely no heard this before
I wonder why they didn't paint the winglets
Yeah, I was surprised myself because the 737s have been painted!
I ve always enjoyed flying what few times I have along with the wife and kids when they were little it was always a very pleasant experience even before and after 911 just can't believe it's turned into the chaos it is now with flight attendants being assaulted by unruly passengers and such totally unbelievable bad behavior out of people toward flight crews they should be honored and respected they have a really tough job sometimes trying to take care of a plane full of people
such negative inlet pressure, much wow
What’s up with the screaming kid in the background?
FULL POWER TAKEOFF?
about sounds like it lol
sounds like the pilot wish the throttles could go further lol
BP TV definitely not full power, increases thrust after liftoff. On heavier flights pilots would set a higher takeoff thrust and pull back for climb, opposite of this short flight. Planes never use full throttle for climb thrust. Nonetheless since it's only going 2.5 hours on a jet that can go 11, it isn't very heavy so it pulls effortlessly. Notice how it hit 10,000 feet in less than 3.5 minutes.
Probably not! Most takeoffs are reduced power calculated by the dispatcher and crew. Saves fuel and engine wear, routine across all airlines!
ge make huge leap from cf6 to 90 series
